The 12 hidden evolutions "Where are we going man". I was 7 years old, and more then a little worried. Usually when I fell over I got beaten, but today my mother was acting a little different. "Just grab Drowzees bloody arm you little brat". I almost cried there, but knowing what comes if you cry can really force those tears back down. I awoke outside what appeared to be a house, alone. I started to look around. "Are we playing hide and seek", I yelled, trying to kid myself. I looked behind bushes, up trees in the small pond behind the house, everywhere, but to no avail. Soon there was nothing left to do but check the house. I walked up the stairs, carefully yet not without speed. As I reached the door, I knocked. I waited a minute, and then a tall lady with glasses walked out. "Do you no where my Mam is lady"? I asked with all innocence. The lady looked at me, eyes wide. "Michele", she whispered. "Yeah", I replied, not even thinking why the lady knew my name. "Your mummy has gone away, and wants me to look after you". Tears streaked my eyes. Why wasn't I told? This lady must be lying. "Your lying", I screamed. With that I turned and ran. I didn't no where I was running to, but I ran as hard and as fast as I could. I couldn't hear the ladies voice anymore, and I was relieved. I sat against a huge rock, and cried. "Mam wouldn't just leave me there"; I tried to kid myself. My mother had done a lot worse. She'd left me at the beach, at church, at gyms, everywhere we ever went id been left once or twice. My thoughts were suddenly broken as I felt a movement on the rock behind me. I jumped to my young feet, and turned around. Sure enough, the rock was moving, slowly getting up. Another not far from e was moving as well, and 2 more to my left. They began to stand. They were pokemon of some sort, I realized. Each had 4 arms, each made of what looks like stone. A huge scary mouth took up a lot of their body, and that scared me. I tried to run, but they had me surrounded. I just sat down. Why should I care. I had no where to go any more. I had no family. My mum had totally disappeared. What good was trying to get away from these beasts. I had given up. Suddenly, one of the rock like pokemon fell. The 3 all turned to look. Another fell, the remnants of ice along its face. I looked around, was there a ghost getting them? I couldn't see anything, but I felt it was friendly, whatever it was. Another fell, the same icy scratch across its face. The last looked up into a tree. I followed its gaze, and sure enough, a pokemon almost completely black was standing in a tree. All except its eyes were completely black, and when it released them from its paws, its claws were an icy blue like the eyes as well. The stone pokemon picked up rocks from the ground, and began to throw them into the tree. Only small ones, but the pokemon easily dodged them. I just stood there, frozen to the spot, mouth agape. The stone beast picked up a huge rock, like bigger then me. A smile seemed to cross its face, as he hefted it into the tree my savior stood in. I gasped as the huge rock was about to hit him. Then, the huge claws on its small hands seemed to slice the rock in half. What was once 1 big rock, was now a pair of medium sized ones. The bad rock pokemon looked shocked. Suddenly, the black pokemon jumped from the tree, and charged the beast. His claw extended, and he slashed at the huge rock. It fell, and as it did, 3 ice scratches appeared by its side. As the final graveller fell over, the pokemon appeared in front of me. I burst into tears and grabbed her. She just held me, while I let it all out. Later that day, Auntie elm found me sitting near the fainted pokemon with slash, as I had now called my sneasle friend. I guessed she was a sneasle, because every now and then she said her whole name, and when she didn't, she said bits of it. My Auntie took me back to her house, but not without slash. She had caught the fainted graveller, and given me a pokeball for some reason. As we slowly walked back to her house with sneasle by my side, she told me of how she was my Auntie. Days went by, and sneasle managed to keep my mind off my mother. My auntie taught me a lot about Slash, how he was a sneasle and what type a sneasle was. She also told me that from a blood sample she took, his father pokemon was a houndoom, that was why he was black. It also mean he would probably learn different attacks then usual. The days went by. We were a team. We spent the days training together, and at night Slash would sit in my lap and listen to Auntie Teach us about pokemon. A year went by, and then 2. I was 9 already, and Auntie Elm told me I could leave anytime for a pokemon journey as soon as I turn 10. She wasn't really a auntie to me though, she was like the mother I never had. The lab was my home. Slash and Auntie Elm my family, my life. Finally, it was only a week until my birthday. Auntie Elm had taken a few days off research to spend with me until my birthday. We spent the days together. Slash and I loved to show off our skills in battle against the wild pokemon. Also our new attacks amazed her. Slash not only performed an ice slash now, but a fire one also. Over the week, Auntie elm often spent time in her lab or an hour or so, collecting items and putting them in pouches she made for me. One contained all the medicine I would need until I reached goldenrod city, she said. I somehow doubted that, it was only a small pouch. Another pouch she gave me had 10 great balls in it. I would have to buy more later on, but they were a great thing to start with. The day finally came when I was to leave. It was a hard thing to say goodbye to my Auntie, my real mother. "This card will cover your expenses if you have no money", she said in her usual caring voice. "And here". She handed me a backpack, it held clothes and packed meals. "At least enough food for your 2 for 3 weeks". But, with the extra pokemon you catch I would guess a week". I smiled at her. I was leaving possibly the greatest part of my life behind when I left, but I would return. "I'll phone as soon as I reach cherry grove", I said, brushing a tear from my eye. I turned my back, and began to walk. Ok, that was a short start, I no, parts will be way longer if I can manage. I no it aint great, but I'll still write parts for a while. If I get replies saying it's good, or I get stuck into it, I'll write and write and write until muh writing arm falls off, or sumthin. I got a little rushed when I wrote this, cause I accidently deleted it and had to try to remember it, so it's not to detailed, yo yeah.......=) -crude dude crazy_crude_aussie_dude@hotmail.com
