She was fuelled by an anger and power that knew no bounds, the need to protect her children. Her natural colour was light grey bordering on silver but every few seconds she pulsed with a heavenly white glow. Lush, pure white tail-feathers trailed behind her as she charged with wild abandon towards the creature. Her beak, elegantly curved, drew deep red blood. The creature screeched in pure agony. It turned, furious, upon the Sacremento. With a roar which caused the walls to crack, the creature conjured up a huge flame between it's hands. The flame flickered brightly, illuminating even the darkest corners of the cavern. As we watched, the flame grew even larger until we had to rush behind a rocky outcrop for fear of being burned. The flame glowed even brighter, and the creature was obscured from our view. Then, the flame was released to devastating effect. The creature followed up by creating a huge typhoon and sending it spiralling towards the Sacremento. The flame flew at the Sacremento, even swifter due to the typhoon. It exploded upon the breast of the Sacremento, causing a vivid display of fantastic fireworks. The flame broke into a thousand pieces, and scattered all over the already badly damaged battlefield. Then, the typhoon struck with horrifying results. It caught the Sacremento in mid-air, still burning brightly. It then continued on to the far wall, carrying the badly injured Sacremento with it. The Sacremento struck the wall with a sickening crunch, and it fell to the ground, unable to get up. Then, a slight movement from the far end of the battlefield attracted our attention. Eon was getting up! Slowly, painfully, agony inscribed all over his battle-worn features, he arose, still willing to battle. He turned a glaring eye upon the creature and then howled with a chilling power more terrifying than any heard before. Then, the arena was plunged into darkness, save the blood-red of his eyes. The creature turned, distracted from the Sacremento. Then, I was blinded by a flash of yellow light as a thousand pulses of electricity joined together. Then, they turned and powered towards the creature. It attempted to avoid it but the surge was so large it was impossible. As it struck the creature, a faint barrier appeared around it. The electricity pounded against the barrier but rebounded, with horrible results. The, electricity, with nowhere to go, repeatedly struck the creature terrifying it out of it's mind. At this moment I turned towards Eon. It was sweating freely, about to collapse. The surge of electricity had taken much of his energy and the barrier was even more sapping. Then, the creature began pounding with loud thuds against the outer walls of the barrier but with no result. Eon was weakening quickly and I knew that we had to do something. I released Scizor and quickly outlined my plan. We focussed our minds on supporting Eon. The results were instantaneous. Eon almost relaxed and I knew the battle was almost won. Then, to our shock, the creature, with a last despairing punch, broke through the barrier. I called on reserves I never knew I had and managed to replace it. However, it was very temporary. Eon, seizing upon the chance, froze over the barrier with a Blizzard. We stopped holding the barrier, and, through it we could see the creature give up. It slumped, defeated at last, to the icy floor beneath it. I rushed over to Eon and threw my arms around him. 'You were great', I congratulated him. However, he was too worn-out to reply. It was then that I noticed a deep burn on his left foreleg. It was still smouldering slightly. Upon closer examination, I saw a faint white mark on the very inside. 'You've been injured', I cried, 'right down to the bone. We have to get you to a doctor or something'. I was bordering on hysterical. There are some things you can't share without developing a beep bond and defeating a rampaging monster is one of them. I felt terrified at the thought of losing Eon, who had done so much to save Sacremento. Then, Montgomery came up. He immediately noticed the burn and said briskly, 'We need to get him to a doctor. But, we have to take care of Sacremento and find out the identity of the creature also. We will split up and carry out these tasks. Jack, you, Scizor and two of my Magnix will travel to the foot of the mountain. There is a pokemon centre located there. Amanda and Mike, you will attempt to discover the identity of the creature. We can release him now as he is obviously too weak to resist. I, will take care of the Sacremento. GO. QUICKLY'. I obeyed, only too willing to do anything I could to save Eon. Montgomery tossed me two Max Revives. 'For the Magnix', he said. I rushed over to the three fallen Magnix and poured the two Max Revives over the two nearest. They immediately got up and I climbed upon the larger ones scaly back. 'To the nearest pokemon centre', I ordered. They obeyed without question As we slithered along, I stroked Eon's slumped form. He had fainted upon me climbing aboard the Magnix, the pain from the burn too much. Scizor appeared next to me. 'Will he be alright'. 'I hope so'. The journey continued on in worried silence. I was almost lulled to sleep by the regular slithering of the large red Fire/Steel type in front of me. His body glowed with a molten light and the cavern walls were reflected off his silvery hide. We reached the mountain-top without incident. I had almost dared to hope that we would reach the pokemon centre without trouble when a bright light pierced through the night and a cruel voice laughed evilly. Then, a fleeting shadow struck, knocking me from my perch upon the Magnix, and a devastating Flamethrower struck Eon upon his injured leg. He cried out in pain and I rushed to save him. However, I was stopped by an invisible force and out of the shadows appeared my worst nightmare.
