***The Unexpected Kiss***
Note: Sorry you guys for not updating in such a long time. Its just I was 
busy with Wishes Do Come True. Well anyway here it is.

Ash: 15
Misty: 15

                        ***Part 2***

Misty and Ash were already setting up camp and it was around 6:40pm when they 
finally ate dinner made by Misty. Sharon had taught her how to cook before 
hand and Misty who had not known why Sharon had taught her had accepted the 
class without protest. It suddenly occurred to Misty as she was cooking why Sharon 
had taught her. To be prepared to cook for Ash when she left. Misty and Ash 
ate silently thinking very hard. Ash was apparently thinking very hard about 
something since he barely ate but stared at Misty the whole time. Misty who had 
her head down and eating intently had not noticed the first 5 minutes. After a 
while Misty did notice and teasingly she asked Ash,
"Ash this is a miracle. You haven't eaten a thing. What are you thinking 
about?"
    Ash appeared to have not heard because he was still staring at Misty. At 
this Misty seemed to be getting embarrassed.
"Ash!" she yelled angrily. 
"Huh?" said Ash finally snapping out of his reverie.
"I asked you a question."
"You did?" asked Ash confused.
"Yeah."
"Oh sorry I was kinda distracted." he mumbled.
"Uh-huh" said Misty giving him the 
do-you-actually-think-I'm-gonna-believe-you-look.
"Don't give that look!" said Ash catching sight of the look she was giving 
him.
"Hmm? What look?" asked Misty innocently.
"You know which one!" he said 
"I really don't know what you're talking about Ash." replied Misty
Ash glared at her but Misty who was used to this merely smiled. Ash sighed 
and started to eat.
"Good. I was beginning to worry that were going crazy."
    At this Ash hit her playfully on the arm. Misty laughed.
"Well what do you think of the food?" asked Misty after a while.
"It's good." he replied.
"That's it? That's all you're gonna tell me after I cooked for you?" asked 
Misty when she did not seem satisfied. 
"Fine. It's really good." he replied.
"Ash! Tell me the truth! I have feeling you're lying to me." said Misty 
suspiciously.
"I am not lying to you!"
"Okay then look me in the eye and tell me what you really think about my 
cooking" said Misty.
"All right." he said looking up at her, "It's really good Misty."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Thank you! It's the first time I've cooked."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Sharon taught me how to."
"Oh." he replied and catching the sad look on Misty's face he added "Hey. 
Don't worry she'll come back soon. Once she sees how fun and easier it is to have 
more friends around you when you travel she'll come back. "
"It's just.......I miss her.......a lot." Misty replied croakly.
"Misty look I hate seeing you sad so please cheer up." he said.
    Once Misty heard these words she looked up at Ash in wonder. He didn't 
know it but he just said in that little statement just how much he cared about 
her. Ash seeing the look Misty was giving him felt uneasy and quickly finished 
his meal and saying he wanted to go to sleep early. Misty said goodnight and 
said she was gonna wash the dishes and then go to sleep
    Misty went to the lake nearby with all the dirty dishes and got to work. 
she scrubbed very hard to get out all the grease. When she came back she saw 
Ash already in his sleeping bag. She decided to leave the fire on just in case.
" Sweet Dreams Ash." Misty whispered as she got into her sleeping bag.
"Yeah you too Misty." he whispered back.
    Soon Misty fell asleep but Ash lay awake restless. He just couldn't sleep 
for some reason. He knew exactly why he couldn't sleep. He needed to tell 
Misty how he felt but was scared. He was scared of rejection. He wondered 
sometimes if she would ever love him, as he loved her. Ash sighed and then thought to 
himself,
'Should I tell her or not? I mean I can can't I?’
    Ash stood up and put on his sneakers and went to sit on a rock nearby. He 
was thinking very hard.
                                    *******
    Misty was sleeping but soon woke up. She woke up on account of the fact 
that she couldn't sleep anymore. She just couldn't something kept intruding her 
mind and she knew exactly what it was. It was the fact that she still needed 
to tell Ash her true feelings. She really needed to tell him. 
'I need to make decision right now. Should I tell Ash how I feel and get 
rejection or should I forever keep it a secret, never let him and stand aside 
while he finds someone else? HELL NO! I am not going to let some other girl take 
what's mine! I'm gonna wake him up and tell him right now.' She thought 
determinedly.
Misty sat up and saw to her amazement that Ash was also awake, he was sitting 
near the fire apparently thinking very hard because when Misty got up and sat 
next to him. Ash jumped. He obviously didn't see her get up.
"Can't sleep either huh." said Misty
"Yeah." replied Ash "But that's because I am thinking about something."
"Me too. I well- I've been trying to get this off my chest for a long time" 
Misty said.
"Want to talk about it?" asked Ash
"No-Ye-I mean sure but in private. I don't want anyone to overhear." replied 
Misty.
"What do you mean we're in the middle if no where!" said Ash laughing a bit.
"Well it doesn't matter I want to discuss it in private." whispered Misty 
blushing a bit.
"Well if you want to." said Ash standing up.
    Misty stood up, walked out of the clearing and went to the lake nearby. 
Ash followed her thinking that this would be the most perfect moment to confess 
his true feelings for her. They sat on rock and stayed silent waiting for the 
other to start wondering if this was the biggest mistake if their lives.......
