The Crystal Dragons: Chapter One "Zeo! Hurry up tidying your room!" The boy sighed and started putting away the clothes that had been lying on the floor. Yesterday, it was his eleventh birthday, and he had camped out with his sister, Sophie, and his two close friends, Cameron and R.L. But today was just another ordinary day, and his mother treated it like so. "Zeo, do you really want me to come up there!?" his mother yelled, standing on the stairs. "Be patient, mum!" Zeo shouted back. "I'm almost finished! Keep your hair on!" His mother sighed, and walked back down. Zeo also let out a sigh. "Parents... what do they know, anyway?" He started to tidy up his messy bed. It had a large picture of an Umbreon on the quilt with a large forest background. Suddenly, he paused, for he had just seen something that wasn't there before. It looked like a golden Pokeball, and it had blue stones embedded into it. These, he supposed, were sapphires. He picked it up and studied it for a moment. After a while, he brought out his Umbreon-style PokeDex out his pocket, and pointed it at the ball. He pressed a few buttons, a light began flashing, and the machine voice spoke. "There is no Data available on this particular Pokemon." boomed the machine voice. Zeo carefully put the PokeDex away in his back pocket, and began to think. The best thing for him to do was to take it to the Pokemon expert, Professor Oak, so he quickly decided that he would visit the lab tomorrow. He attached the mysterious Pokeball to his belt, and set off down the stairs. His sister, Sophie, was standing at the bottom of them, waiting for him. "So, did you tidy your room?" she asked. "Well, duh!" he said. "What do you think I am, an idiot who tells blatant lies?" "Well, it doesn't matter. You still have to get the last badge, remember?" Zeo gave a short sigh. "I suppose so." ~~~ "Hang in there Luna!" "Raaaaaaawrrrrr!" Zeo and Sophie entered the large, turquoise doors just as Cameron was in an official gym battle with the Gym Leader, Norgad. Norgad's Pokemon, a Salamence, was fighting against Cameron's Lunareon, Luna. "You can do this Luna!" Yelled Cameron determinedly. "Attack it with Moon Beam!" At these words, Luna's deep blue eyes began glowing. She became encased in snow-white light, and a large, thick beam shot through the air. It hit the Salamence directly in the stomach, and it toppled over, defeated. Luna returned to normal, and Cameron ran up to her and gave her a hug, lifting her off her feet. "We won!" he shouted, his voice filled with joy. "Great battle kid." said Norgad, with a smile. "The Dragon Badge is all yours." He took out a silver figure from a nearby treasure chest, and gave it to Cameron. He left the Gym with a big smile on his face. "So... you're next I suppose?" asked Norgad, pointing at Zeo. "Yes, he is." replied Sophie. "Very well. This is a one-on-one battle with two Pokemon. You ready?" Zeo nodded. "Come out, Flygon!" shouted the Gym Leader, throwing a Pokeball onto the arena. A large green dragon-ish Pokemon burst out of Norgad's Pokeball, slowly hovering onto the arena using its delicate, light-green wings. Its large tail waved behind it, as it waited for its opponent to appear. It watched the arena, its eyes protected by a thin red shield. "Go get 'em Lucky!" yelled Zeo, throwing one of his own Pokeballs. A large green-ish creature burst out of Zeo's Pokeball, and walked onto the arena. It had spikes going up its back, starting from its tail, and a large horn in the middle of its ears, which also had spikes on them. It stood there, watching the Flygon, awaiting an order from Zeo. "Well, well, well. If it isn't a Shiny Nidoqueen." said Norgad with a smile. "What a pleasant surprise. Too bad it won't be able to beat my Pokemon. How sad." Lucky gave a short growl, annoyed by its opponent's taunts. "Lucky, show him your real power! Use Blizzard!" A cold breeze ran through the air, and big chunks of ice flew at the Flygon. A hit from one of the larger pieces sent it unconscious. "Hmm... not bad." said Norgad, recalling Flygon. "See if you can handle this! Go Dragonite!" An orange dragon burst out of the ball and faced Lucky with a cute expression on its face. Its small wings flapped every five seconds, so a permanent breeze was in the air. "Lucky, give it a Horn Attack!" Lucky was just charging at the Dragonite, aiming for the stomach, when Norgad yelled out his order. "Quick Dragonite, use Ice Punch!" One of Dragonite's hands started glowing light blue, and just as Lucky was about to hit, it punched her directly in the head, and claimed victory. "You did your best Lucky." whispered Zeo as he withdrew her. "Finish it off, Charlie!" A reddish-orange dragon-ish creature burst out of Zeo's Pokeball, and flew around the arena using its powerful wings. It had a red flame on the end of its tail, and it burned continuously throughout its flight. "Dragonite, attack it with Hyper Beam!" yelled the Gym Leader. Dragonite started charging up a golden beam in its mouth. It took aim at Charlie and fired. Charlie dodged this attack with ease. "Charlie, finish it with Body Slam!" shouted Zeo. Charlie immediately started hurtling at Dragonite at break-neck speed. It slammed Dragonite into the ground, and roared in victory. "Great job kid." said Norgad with a smile. "The Dragon Badge is rightfully yours." Norgad got out another silver badge from the treasure chest, and passed it to Zeo. "I'll be seeing you around." said Norgad. He turned around and walked into the shadows. Sophie was beside herself with joy. "Wow! That was an awesome match!" she yelled happily. "At this rate, you'll have beaten the Soaww League!" Zeo smiled, and recalled Charlie back into his ball. As he left the Gym, he thought he heard someone talking. Soon, it will be time...
