I Stand Alone

Author's Note: Like it so far? I just got a good idea, so I expanded. Just to clarify ages, Ash is 20, Ritchie is 20 Gary is 22, Misty is 20 and Jesse and James are 25.

Chapter One: Preparations

"How... Shocking. I always hought you were a good boy, Todd. After all, you were all over Ash so long ago. But I guess dimwits stick together." taunted Gary, about ten feet away from one of Ash's best henchmen, with a Glock 17 cocked at his chest.
They were in a deserted alley way at around two AM.
"Fuck you! If I wasn't held at gunpoint, you'd be begging for mercy!" Todd threatened, with a hissed voice.
"Oh, really? But you are held at gunpoint, aren't you? So how about you hand over every single one of those pokeballs, and your money too." Gary said.
"Over my dead body!" Todd growled.
Gary grinned evily and tightened his grip on the Glock 17 in his hand.
"Funny you should say that."
BAM! With one clean shot to the chest, Todd dropped to the cold Asphalt at his feet. Gary ripped the belt that held Todd's pokeballs off of his waist, and reached into his pocket and pulled out a wallet. Gary opened up the wallet and pulled out $400.00 in cash, and Todd's credit card. He took one last look at the body, and walked off. Three seconds later, he came to a halt, and realized something. Todd wasn't bleeding. Before Gary could turn around, he was swept off of his feet with a sweep kick, and had a switch blade pressed against his neck. He reached for his gun, but it was out of reach.
"Kevlar. Like it?" grinned Todd.
Gary noticed a dark form lurking from within the ally behind a few garbage cans.
"MP5K sub-machine gun." said the figure.
Automatic fire sounded, and three bullets hit Todd in the back of the head.
"Like it?" the figure chuckled.
Gary grunted angrilly, and rolled Todd's lifeless corpse off of himself.
"Cute, Ritchie. But you got his blood all over my new jacket." Gary said snidely.
"I don't care about your stupid jacket Gary. We gotta get the job done. Do we have enough firepower to break into the building?" asked Ritchie.
"I stole about twenty pounds of gun powder from the gun shop. Now all we have to do is blow a hole in the side of the building and go in." said Gary standing up and motioning to a garbage bag with a white X marked on it tucked in a corner.
"By firepower, I meant who do we have backing us, and what kind of pokemon and guns do we have." Ritchie said.
"I didn't find anybody willing to help, but I stole some AK's and a few glocks. Did you get anybody?" asked Gary.
"Well, I managed to scoop up a few good psychic trainers, and a couple of civillians with firearms experience. We're gonna rendéz-vous at Saffron Airport outside of town. It seems that Sabrina is in hiding there with  a few other powerfull trainers, most of them former gym leaders." Ritchie said.
Gary brushed off his jacket and saw the blood.
"Know any dry cleaners open at this time of night, who don't ask questions?" asked Gary, removing his jacket.
"Sorry, bud." said Ritchie shrugging his shoulders.
"Then fuck it." said Gary, and he threw the jacket on Todd's lifeless body, grabbed the gun powder then walked off.
The two companions walked down the street where the alley branched off, with Gary in the lead, taking Ritchie to where he parked their car. He unlocked the doors and hoped into the driver's seat. As soon as he started the engine, he saw three or four sets of headlights in his rear-view, and floored the gas, taking off for the highway that would take them to the airport. The cars behind them sped up, and shots were fired.
"Quick, theres an AK-47 in the back, fully loaded." Gary shouted.
Ritchie reached in the back and grabbed the firearm. He smashed out the side window with the butt of the gun and leaned out the window. He fired several rounds at the closest vehicle. The armor piercing bullets tore through the steel shellof the car and ignited the gasoline, blowing the old honda sky high.
Ritchie fired off a few more rounds at the cars further behind, but missed.
"Shit, I can't aim like this!" yelled Ritchie.
He took his MP5K and shot out the rear windshield. after punching away the excess glass, he aimed again with his AK-47 and blasted away at the cars behind. He managed to shoot out the front tires of one, and it swirved off of te road, colliding into a guardrail. Now only 2 cars remained. Several pistol shots were fired from one of the cars, but they missed and hit the asphalt.
Ritchie tookaim again with his AK, and fired off the remainder of the magazine.
"Shit, I'm outa ammo." cursed Ritchie.
He grabbed his MP5K and unloaded his entire magazine at the trailing vehicles which were closing in on he and Gary. The rounds penetrated the steel shell of one of the cars and killed the driver, making the car swirve off into the other one, sending them both up in flames. Ritchie sighed in relief, and sunk back in the seat, reloading his AK-47 with an extra magazine.
"Crap! We got company!" shouted Gary, montioning to his right.
Ritchie glanced out the side window, and what he saw nearly made him wet himself. A black hellicopter with a red A on the side was flying low, with a gunner at the side, taking aim with his M-16.
"Shit!" cursed Ritchie.
He took careful aim at the gunner, and shot him dead before he could target the car.
"Is this thing insured?" asked Ritchie.
"It's stolen." Gary said.
"Good." said Ritchie.
He climbed into the back seat and opened the door. He shot off the hinges, and the door flew off. Ritchie grabbed a pokeball at his waist, and threw it.
"Go, Zippo!" he shouted.
A charizard appeared, flying along side the speeding vehicle, and Ritchie jumped on its back.
"Take me up to that chopper!" shouted Ritchie to his fire dragon pokemon.
Zippo flew upwards, and alongside the open hatch where the gunner was. Ritchie jumped in, and grapped the dead gunner's M-16. He walked over to where the pilot was sitting, and shot him in the head. He threw him in the back and took the controls.
Zippo flew up towards the cockpit. Gary motioned for him to land. Ritchie sped ahead of Gary, and landed on the highway. Gary skidded the car to a halt and hopped out, loading up his Glock 17.
He opened up the trunk of the car and grabbed a big box. He jogged over to the chopper and layed it inside.
"Since when did you know how to fly a helicopter?" asked Gary.
Ritchie got out of the cockpit and went to help Gary unload the cargo.
"I took lessons a for a few years until.. Ash... well, you know." said Ritchie.
Gary went back to the car and lifted another large crate, then handed it to Ritchie. He grabbed the gun powder from the back seat, then brought it into the hellicopter.
"That's everything." said Gary.
"Okay. Return, Zippo." said Ritchie, recalling the large dragon that was sitting on the asphalt.
Rithcie jumpedinto the cockpit, and flew towards the Saffron Airport. Gary was in the back, and was loading up another Glock 17. He put them in duel holsers at his side.
"I wonder whats in these boxes..." he pondered, looking at two or three black crated stashed in the back.
Gary pryed open one, and looked at the contents.
"Holy shit, this thing is a flying bomb!" exclaimed Gary.
The contents of the crate was C4 plastic explosives. Gary pried open another one, and the contents were hand grenades. The third crate contained boxes of ammunition for M-16's. Three of which were on racks right above the black crates.
"What's wrong?" asked Ritchie, shouting over the noise of the chopper blades.
"There's a crate of plastic explosives back here!" answered Gary.
"We better hurry before they catch us!"shouted Ritchie.

~^*^~

Five minutes later, the airport was in sight. Ritchie landed the chopper at the nearest hellipad, and jumped out. Gary pulled an AK-47 out of one of the boxes, and slung it around his shoulder. The area was dark, and there were three main buildings. The terminal, tower and the parking garage. Nearby there were 3 figures. They approached Gary and Ritchie. The first one to approach was none other than Saffron City's former gym leader, Sabrina Clarkson. Following her were Cinnabar Island's gym leader Blaine Mitchell and Celadon City's former gym leader Erika Smith.
"Hello. I suppose you three lead the resistance." said Gary.
"Yes. We do." said Sabrina.
"I suppose you have the supplies we will need for the retaking of the Silph Building." said Blaine.
"Three boxes of firearms, a crate of hand grenades, a crate of C4 plastic explosives, and a stolen helicopter." said Gary.
"That will me more than enough." said Sabrina.
She lead them to the terminal, where about fifty people awaited them.
"This is our force. Though the odds are against us, these people are all skilled trainers, and most can operate a firearm." said Blaine.
"Good. Could some of you help me unload the weapons?" asked Ritchie.
Several people walked forward, and volounteered. They went with Gary and Ritchie and came back with all of the supplies.
When they returned, Gary started distributing the AK-47s to the people with firearms experiance, then gave the Glock 17s to the others, giving them a short explaination on how to operate them. At the bottom of the last box was an MP5K. Ritchie grinned and picked it out of the box and checked everything on it.
"Thought you would want that, so I got it too." said Gary.
"Anybody here know how to use an M-16?" asked Ritchie, holding out one of the three machine guns.
A fat man with a bald head and a short beard stepped out of the crowd.
"I do." he grunted, taking the gun from Ritchie.
"Good. There's a parking building beside the building, and it's unguarded. You could hold a siege there, as we break into the building." said Blaine.
"All by myself?" he asked.
"No. We'll leave a few people to help you." said Erika.
Gary began to empty the crate of ammo, and as he reached the end, he noticed something. He bulled off a few more boxes, and at the bottom, there was a small rocket launcher and a few small boxes of rockets.
"Anybody know how to use this?" he Asked.
Blaine nodded.
"I do. I guess I will assist you, then." said Blaine to the fat guy.
"That will be good. Most of the trainers with pistols will stay back and bring up the rear as our men with the AK-47's clear the way. The siege on the parking tower will provide us with support. Blaine, you should use that rocket launcher to blow up any large groups of enemy personel or vehicles that pose a significant threat. Try to leave the Silph Tower in good shape. It will be our new base of operations if we can retake it. Rumor has it that Ash is there. If you see him, don't shoot. He always wears a bulletproof vest, and is a superior marksman with a pistol. Trying to kill him will just get yo killed. Try to avoid him.Is that clear?" said Gary.
Everybody nodded.
"Good. Now let's kick some ass."
