Chapter Six Misty sat, shocked and speechless. She saw Ash's tear-streaked face poke through the doorway. His dark eyes seemed foggy, and he had an exhausted look on his face. She could tell he had been through a lot and under a lot of stress. Misty could barely choke the words out. "I- I'm...so-rry." She gasped. She had no idea how much turmoil he had been going through- not just recently. Ever since they left. All this time his love for her has been feuling him- giving him a reason for existance. Misty could barely believe it as she shook her head and tears poured down her face. She was worried, angered, humiliated, and frustrated at herself at how she has treated him along the road they had both traveled together. "Don't be sorry, Misty." Ash took a step inside the hospital room. "It's my fault you're even in here." Misty shook her head and sobbed harder. "No. I've always been so mean and harsh to you." She paused to catch her breath. "I shouldn't have been like that. I mean- how can you love me when I've been like that all these years?" I dropped the letter along the hospital bed and held my head in my hands, tears spotting the bedspread. "Misty- our past means nothing now. I realized that yesterday when I got here. Whatever happened back then doesn't matter now. Only the present- there is only now. I hope we can just put it behind us and move on. I know what I did was horrible- and I deserve to be arrested for it. But please, all I need is one more chance." Ash made his way to the side of her bed and he kneeled down, folding his hands and looking into her endless blue eyes. She was at a loss of words. Misty wondered if this was going to happen again. She wondered if the future, if any, was going to be as trecherous as the last twenty-four hours. She wondered what smart people would do in this position. Then her mind shifted to what it would be like if she went home. She would be tormented by her sisters constantly, live a boring life, then the worst consequence arrived in her mind; she wouldn't see her friends, Brock or Ash, ever again. Breaking down in tears once more, Misty reached out to hug Ash, and he returned the favor. "I love you so much, Ash." She cried into his shoulder as he embraced her in his arms. "It's gonna be allright from now on, Misty. I love you." ~~~~~~~~~~ Well? That was the last part of "Love By A Hit", and I hope everyone liked it. Of course, Desiree did a wonderful job, and I would like to thank her; nice job Desiree!!! We got this story done in less than a month I'm sure. Anyways, please review everyone.
