Rated: PG (just because there’s a lot of kissing)
Guys if you like pokemon this is not the story for you, because there is
only one part where I mention pokemon.  This story doesn’t even involve
Pikachu!  This story is really based around Ash and Misty’s Relationship.
This is my first attempt writing a fanfic, or really a story for that
matter, once I started to write a story, but ended up trashing it because it
was just going to turn out way to elementary sounding, and I started to
loose interest in it.  Anyway I hope you enjoy my story e-mail me if you
have any comments, and tell me what I need to improve.   elferskids@msn.com

Ash-18 Misty-17
Part 1
As they walked through the streets of Pallet, Ash had his hand around
Misty’s hip. They remembered when they first met Ash was 10 and Misty was 9,
he was scrawny, he had messy black hair, and he always wore the hat he won.
Misty was also small, she always wore daisy dukes*, a yellow tank top, and
suspenders.
He had destroyed her bike, and she wouldn’t leave him alone until he had
given her the money for a new one.  He finally did, when he was 14, give her
the money for a new bike, but since they had grown into friends she did not
leave his side.  Instead of buying a new bike she saved up more money, and
on his 16th birthday she put the money he gave her with the money she had
been saving and she bought him his first car.  He had liked her since he was
12, and he was so excited that he kissed her on the lips, this surprised
her, but she kissed him back and they had been going out ever since.
They had matured since they had first met.  Ash had started working out, and
had toned himself.  He was taller now he was about 5’ 10".  He now had
six-pack abs, muscular arms, legs and…well you get the picture.  His hair
was now short and spiked and neater because he didn’t wear his hat anymore.
Even though it meant a lot to him he wanted to preserve it so when he was
older he would still have the memories.  Misty had grown taller she was now
5’ 6".  She had also become curvier.  Her hair had grown to hip length, she
no longer put it in a side pony tail like she did when she was young, she
also did not wear the outfit she used to.  She wore a blue form-fitting
summer dress.
"Ash do you love me?" Misty asked looking deeply in to his brown eyes.
"Of course I do, you know that," Ash said confidently.
"Ash," Misty said.
"Yes?" Ash wondered.
"Will you always love me?"
"Always and forever." Ash replied.  Afterwards kissing her, to show he was
not lying.  "Well since your so unsure how about it, I’ll prove it to you by
taking you out to dinner tonight."
Misty smiled and her bright aqua eyes seemed to glow and sparkle.
Then they went their separate ways to get ready for the date.  As soon as
Misty was home she called Ash to get the 411 about the date.
"Ash, where are we going?" Misty wondered.
"You’ll see when we get there, just meet me in the park," Ash replied.
"Alright if you say so, um I’m gonna go get ready now"
"Before you go," Ash said quickly "remember to dress formal on this date."
   "Okay, I will, bye."
   "I love you."
   "I love you too."
Ash put on a tuxedo, made sure his hair was still spiked, brushed his
teeth, and grabbed a little box from off his dresser.
"Okay mom, I’m going on my date," Ash said as he walked out the door.
"Okay honey," she managed to reply before he shut the door.
Misty was sitting on a bench, at the park entrance. She looked more
beautiful than he could have ever imagined.  She was wearing a formfitting
baby blue dress that sparkled in the moonlight; it came down to her
mid-thigh.  Although she usually did not put on make-up, she decided to do
it tonight.  She had a lip gloss on that made her lips shine and sparkle,
she also put on a light blue eye shadow, eye liner and mascara that made her
eyes look even brighter than usual.
"Misty you look, you look umm," Ash stuttered, it felt like he was 14 again
trying to tell Misty how he felt about her.
"Ash don’t be nervous, it’s just me," Misty reassured him with a smile.
   "Misty."
   "Yes?"
   "You look beautiful to night."
"Thank you." Misty’s smile grew even wider.
"Well…I’m gonna have to put this blind fold on you, so where I’m taking you
can be a surprise."
"Alright," she said closing her eyes so he could put the blindfold on.
He put it just tight enough so it would stay on.  Then he walked her down
the street, and stopped at a small dock as soon as he took the blindfold
off, she knew exactly where they were.
"Ash…it’s so beautiful, this is the most romantic place you could ever take
me, I can’t believe you remembered the day we met."
"How could I forget I had been yanked from the water, and you were more
concerned with my Pikachu," Ash replied with a grin.
   "Sorry about that."
"Well I’m glad it happened or we never would have met."
Misty let out a giggle and just smiled.  He took her to the edge of the
dock grabbed the picnic basket he put there earlier, opened it up and handed
her a PB & J, chips, a glass of lemonade and a slice of cheese cake. He also
took out a meal for him self.
"Misty, before we start to eat I want to ask you ummm, something," Ash said
nervously.
"What is it Ash?" Misty asked, with a confused expression on her face.
   "Well can you stand up?"
"Umm, sure." Misty said getting to her feet.
Ash then grabbed a little velvet-covered box out of his pocket and got down
on one knee.
   "Misty will you--"
Ash was cut off, a man in all black clothes with a mask over his face
grabbed Misty.
"Get off my girlfriend," Ash bellowed as he punched the kidnapper in the
face, but it did not stop him from continuing his mission.  The man jumped
up and ran into the near by forest.
"God…" he was about to cuss but decided not to because if his mom heard
about it he would never be leaving home.
Ash jolted after the guy and chased him into the forest, but when he was
about to catch the kidnapper two men jumped out from the bushes and knocked
him out.  He woke up about an hour later he couldn’t see anyone around.  He
started to get up and then his head started throbbing, he felt his forehead,
it was wet, he put his hand in the light and just made out that it was
blood.  Ash ran home to clean up his wound, when he got home he slammed the
door so hard that it made the whole house shake.  When he walked in his mom
didn’t notice the cut, because it was on the other side of his head, and out
of view.
"How was your date?" his mom asked.
   "She’s gone!"
   "Who’s gone?"
"Misty’s gone, a man came and just took her away." Ash panted his eyes
looked glazed.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No, I need to be left alone."
Ash ran up the stairs, and as soon as he was in his room he began to sob.
He just took a wet towel and put it on his forehead.
"Why am I such an idiot?  I should have kept looking, I am such a frickin’
retard."
Ash lay in his bed, he didn’t even bother to change he fell asleep crying.
He woke up and looked in the mirror his whole face looked red and puffy, his
cut looked swollen and infected, he didn’t even bother changing or combing
his hair.  He went downstairs; his mom asked what happened, but he didn’t
answer her so she figured he didn’t want to talk about it.  She changed the
subject by asking him if he wanted something, but all he said was that he
wasn’t hungry.  He went outside and headed straight toward the forest, he
knew what he had to do; he would sacrifice his life just to see her one last
time.
He walked straight for about 10 minutes, but then he had this feeling that
where she was taken was to his left, it was odd, but even when they were
apart he could always sense where she was, so he turned left following his
heart the feeling kept getting stronger and stronger then it just
disappeared.  He was confused but then decided to walk back a little and see
if the feeling came back, it did.  The feeling was coming from and old oak
tree, it was quite large but certainly not large enough to have a secret
base or more than one person inside.  Then it came to him.
"There’s a tunnel inside the tree, but where is the entrance?" Ash wondered
out loud.  Then the entrance just opened, he was confused and startled.  Ash
jumped inside, he didn’t care where it leaded to all he cared about was
getting Misty back.
Part 2
He landed inside a lab with test tubes every where, and blackboard and huge
tubes from floor to ceiling with a jell-o type liquid inside, but other than
that there was ancient pokemon inside those tubes preserved exactly how they
looked thousands of years ago.
Ash ran down a hallway, he saw a door at the end of it, the door was locked
and he couldn’t break it down so he decided to try his to open it with his
mind like he did with the lab entrance, it didn’t work.  He was about to
give up when he started thinking about how he had to find Misty and save her
before anything bad could happen.  The door opened!  He figured out that his
thoughts must have triggered the door’s opening.  THERE WAS MISTY!!!  But
she had changed she was now in a loose with gown with a girdle* on her
waist.  She was on a stone altar just sitting there.
"What are you doing?" Ash questioned Misty.
"Well, they said something about me being able to tell them many secrets,
because I was a princess in ancient times and if I sit here all of the
memories should come back, or some crap like that," Misty simply said to
Ash.
"Misty I’ve missed you so much," Ash said going toward the altar.
"Ash you can’t just pull me off this alter"
"Why not?"
"Because there is some ancient shield around this altar."
"Well if I can’t just take you off the altar I’ll just have to find the guys
who did this and have them turn it off or whatever."
"Ash."
"Yeah."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Ash ran to the other door in the hall and kicked it open.
"How do you turn it off?" Ash growled.
"Turn what off, what are you talking about?" A scientist said confused.  He
was tall and thin, he had no distinct features he had brown hair, pale gray
eyes, and glasses that looked like they were from the 50’s.  He had a cup of
coffee in his hand.
"The ancient shield around my girlfriend, you moron," Ash steamed.
"Oh that, well you can’t turn it off."
"What!"
"Well as soon as she remembers where to find the ultimate pokemon the light
will become so powerful that…POOF, and she’s gone."
"No." Ash muttered.
"I beg your pardon."
"NO!" Ash bellowed, "YOU’RE A LIAR!  YOU’RE NOT GOING TO HAVE HER DIE AFTER
SHE GAVE YOU SOMETHING!"
" I’m sorry," He said remaining calm "There is nothing I can do about it."
Ash was about to walk out the door when the professor said, "Oh yes one more
thing," Ash just turned around, but still having a face full of anger,
"There is no way to get to her if you try to get through the shield you’ll
die.  I’m sorry but this event is unavoidable."
Ash stomped out of the room and went back to the room Misty was in.
"Soooo," Misty said with a look of hope on her face.
"So, there is no way for you to get out of there, and if we don’t get you
out of there you will, you will die." The look of hope on Misty’s face
quickly disappeared.  Ash began to cry, he wasn’t afraid to in front of
Misty, because he always had a good reason to, but he just stopped and
looked up at her, "Maybe there is a way," Ash said.
"What is it?"
"Well I could jump in there real quick, cover you from the shield, and you
could get out."
"But what will happen to you?"
"I will probably die."
"NO ASH, YOU CAN’T!"
"Misty either you’re going to die or I’m going to die, there is no avoiding
it."
Misty wanted to cry but she couldn’t, she knew he was right but she didn’t
want to accept it.
"Are you ready?" Ash asked to make sure she was paying attention.
"Yes."
Ash ran through the shield it felt like 1,000 knives were going through his
body but he grabbed Misty and put her under his body to protect her from the
ancient shield.  Even through all of the pain all Ash could think about was
how much he loved Misty.  Misty was only thinking about how much she loved
Ash.  It worked!  Misty went unharmed, but Ash was burnt.  He lay on the
ground, and moaned.  Even though Misty was fine she also seemed to feel his
pain.  Then Ash stopped moaning and just laid still.
Part 3
Misty crawled over to him gave his lifeless body a hug.  She began to cry,
she couldn’t help it.  Her tears fell on his messy black hair and then a
light came from the altar and a beautiful woman appeared.
"Well, there is one thing that can get through this shield, and it is love.
Even though Ash has died he can come back, I can do that for you because I
can see that your love for him is pure and true."  As she said that Ash sat
up and his burns began to disappear.
"What happened Misty?" Ash questioned her.
"You died," she answered.
"I will leave you two alone now that, the prophecy is fulfilled." Then she
disappeared into thin air.
"Well, Misty I think we should get out of here."
"Good idea."
Ash and Misty ran out of the room, but huge men blocked there way, Ash had
figured out how his powers worked, he closed his brown eyes, he began to
think about how his love for Misty gave him his strength and power, he also
thought about Misty and what would happed to her if they didn’t get out, he
reopened his eyes they had become a bright red, and full of anger.
"Ash what’s happening?" Misty asked.
"Misty, I don’t know what’s happening, but we must trust it."
After he stated that he stuck out his hand towards the two men, and a huge
flash of light came from it, when they could see clearly again, they saw the
two men on the ground unconscious, they decided to get out of there before
the men woke up, so they climbed up the slide and ran all the way to town.
By the time they got there, their faces were smudged with dirt, and their
clothes were torn.
"Their security sucks," Ash panted.
"Yeah, I know," Misty, agreed.
They both giggled a little before Ash spoke.
"Well I never got to ask you what I wanted too."
"Go for it."
Ash got down on one knee and pulled out the velvet-covered box once more.
"Misty will you marry me?" Ash asked with a hopeful glow in his eye.
"Yes, of course."
Ash slipped the ring on her finger, got up and kissed her.  The world seemed
to turn into one gigantic swirl and all that was clear was she.  They
continued to kiss for about 3 minutes, but to them it seemed to last much
longer.
When they finally stopped Misty looked at Ash and asked, "Will you always
love me?"
"Always and forever."

Girdle* = it is like a belt that they wore in ancient times, the more
elaborate it was the richer you were.

Daisy Dukes* = they are the same thing as short shorts.
