Where am I? I thought to myself, not that I would know. Straining my memory, I tried to focus. I don’t remember anything! Great that’s just what I need right now, amnesia. O.K., focus. What do I remember?

Just then my thought conversation with myself was cut off when I heard voices, only then realize I wasn’t alone. I tried to open my eyes but when I did my eyes hurt like crazy and I quickly gave up.

“Hey Boss, do you really think it’ll work?” asked a voice. I shall use my authorly powers to name him Steve.

“Of course, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life. It has been tested and proved that the crystal absorbs power. This will stop the Unknown from overloading like last time the Unknowns’ power was used,” replied a second voice, clearly the leader of the two. My authorly powers name him Joe.

Unknown? What were they talking about? What crystal? I wondered, frantically attempting to make sense of what was going on.

“But what about the legends?” asked Steve, sounding scared this time, “They say there’s some sort of creature inside.”

Creature? I was getting more questions than answers.

“Oh, drop it already. Legends should remain legends,” declared Joe.

“But what about the legendaries?” Steve piped in.

“Fine, even if there is a creature in the crystal,” started Joe.

“…T” Steve nearly interrupted.

“Which there isn’t,” Joe said sternly, “If it didn’t wake up for a century, why would it wake up now?”

“I guess…,” Steve agreed reluctantly.

Questions swarmed through my head like buzzing Beedrils. What creature? Asleep for 100 years? Where was I in all of this? If I could move my arms I would’ve slapped myself. I was that ‘creature’!

I concentrated hard. Yes, I was definitely human, that’s a good start. I was 13 last I checked so I should be about 113. Wow, I feel old now. I am a girl with long brown hair. Name, name, name… Great. Just great. I can’t remember my name. Well, seeing as everyone who might have known me 100 years ago was probably dead, I’ll have to be original. I know! I’ll call myself Crystal. Yeah, very original…

Now, it might seem strange that I’m taking this ‘asleep for a century’ thing lightly, but seeing as I couldn’t remember anyone to miss them, so it wasn’t that bad.

Just then the car (we were in a car?) came to a screeching halt.

“We’re here,” announced Joe.

“Finally!” Steve half sighed.

I felt the crystal I was trapped in move. I really wish I had some idea of where I am, I thought with a sigh. I felt my crystal being set down.

“B-b-boss, we-we got the-the cr-cr-crystal th-th-that you w-w-wanted,” said Joe with an obvious stutter, then he quickly added, “sir.”

“Good, I will take it from here,” said an unfamiliar voice, “You may go now.”

Steve and Joe then scurried out, and by the sound of the footsteps they were happy to leave. Then the man clapped his hands twice.

“Take this crystal to the UKN room, now,” he ordered calm but firm. His words sent a shiver down my spine. Now I knew why those other two were so scared!

Without another word I was moving again. The few minutes seemed like hours. Finally, after what seemed like forever, we had arrived.

“You may leave,” said the man. How he got there first I’ll never know. “What an interesting crystal…” he mumbled to himself, “By controlling the Unknown, ultimate power will be mine! I, Giavoni, will rule the world!” He then erupted into a sea of maniacal laughter.

Giavoni, Giavoni, where had I heard that name before? Oh no, I’m in Team Rocket’s hideout!

A.N: I have no idea how Giavoni is still young (35, maybe?) when Crystal knew him before. 3rd Generation? I wonder…

It had been about a week. I have no ideas on what they were doing, ignoring me like that. I know it may not seem right, but I felt for some reason hurt. It’s not that I wanted Team Rocket to have world domination, let me tell you, but I still felt unimportant when they ignored me for so long. I don’t know how I survived without nourishment of any kind.

Finally, someone entered, and I felt good that they still knew I existed (or that my crystal did, anyway).

“Sir, the dome is ready. I am fetching the crystal,” said a young female voice. I think she was talking on a headset, because I knew no one else followed her into the room. How? Don’t know.

Once again, I was being moved. There was a knot in my stomach. It’s time. They’re ready to use my crystal. I have to stop them, but if I’m stuck in this crystal, how can I? What should I do?

Unlike the first, this move felt like it took only seconds. I had no idea how I was going to stop Giovanni.

Before I knew it, I was in a room filled with Unkown. I could tell by the sound they were making. It seamed there was a meaning to it, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. How can I stop him, I couldn’t even open my eyes! Well, it was a place to start.

I strained to open my eyes. It hurt like (a word I can’t mention in this fanfic). Then there was a blinding light. All I knew was I could move again. I ran.

Where I was running to, I don’t know, but I didn’t dare stop. I continued running, I could hear voices calling after me.

“Stop!”

“Come back here!!”

I ran. Out of the hideout. I didn’t stop. I had no idea where to, but I ran.
