Chapter 6: The Weepingbell Village Last Time: Kaden to the rescue: “Don’t worry I’ll help” I said I called out Swordcrad and went to help her “Swordcrad Tackle!” Mayu, Jealous: “No good rotten little girl she probably not even lost she probably is just faking this lost little girl act to get Kaden I’m going to show her hehehe” flamethrower but I have a plan to get this Shasha girl away from Kaden he is my friend and no little one is going to take him away hopefully I will tell Kaden how I feel soon so I don’t lose him to someone else “Oh you little” I said under my breath The Truth Revealed: “He loves her” Mayu, Petia, and I were eating dinner at Ms. Weshia’s house. It was a quaint little cottage on the edge of Weepingbell village. It was't very big it had a wooden roof and a little shack off to the side. When we walked in there were only one room and a staircase leading upstairs. Ms.Weshia served us dinner. It was the firstgood meal we had eaten in days it was a delicious meat stew yummy! Oddly Mayu and Shasha sat on opposite sides of me glaring at each other as they ate. I felt sort of like a doll being ripped apart two cats. “Feel free to spend the night you must have been traveling for awhile if you came all the way from the palace,” Mrs. Weshia said. “Oh he can sleep in my room,” Shasha said eagerly looking at me in a strange way. Other girls back in Pterny stared at me the same way and it usually meant trouble. “No, no that’s fine I’ll sleep in a loft or something,” I said stammering Mayu gave Shasha a glare. “Oh what have I gotten myself into,” I said under my breath. “Ok then Kaden, Mayu and Petia you may sleep in the loft in the shack outside,” Mrs. Weshia said after we finished eating the three of us went outside to the little shack it was smaller than the house it had gardening tools and a hay bail that’s where we slept we got comfy on the hay and talked before we fell asleep. “Young Lady! How could you invite a boy up to your room like that I thought I raised you better,” my mom had shouted at me “But Mom I really like this boy he saved me and he’s incredibly handsome I just couldn't’t resist,” I had said. “Go to your room!” Mom had shouted. That morning went normal as it did the night before Mayu and Shasha were at each others throat with me caught in the middle. “Cant you two just stop please,” I said we had a breakfast of Oatmeal and Miltank Milk again it was very good. Shasha had agreed to take us to the village square supposedly there was some sort of festival or celebration. When we arrived at the square the place was full of people all smiling and enjoying themselves. We heard the most delightful music we saw a drum it was huge two people were drumming the most delightful tune I couldn't’t help but clap along and smile. “Do you want to enter the contest,” a man said I looked at him he was short and old he had long thick grey hair in a ponytail and beady black eyes and a wrinkled face he was wearing a yellow and green kimono and sandals. “Village Chief, these are my friends. Guys this is the Chief of the village, Winslow” Shasha said. “What kind of contest,” I said intrigued. I was always up for some healthy competition. “The Contest is three parts. The first part is one person in your team of four plays the drums if your beat is better than your opponents then you win the second part is two of you dance along to the beat of the drum and if your dance is better than your opponents you win the third round is decided by a no weapons Pokemon battle.” Winslow had said I looked at Mayu she smiled I smiled back. “Sure we will it sounds like fun,” Maya and I said. We huddled deciding who would play the drum it ended up being Shasha who played the drum she said she’s done it before and is pretty good unfortunately we believed her she was horrible at it we all looked around like we didn't’t know her. “The winner is… Ido of the blue team,” Winslow had announced. “Well, hehe at least there’s two more rounds,” Shasha had said we all glared at her. Since the rules say that you can’t participate in more than one round me Petia Mayu and I huddled again to see which two of us would dance we decided that it would be Mayu and I our opponents were two local kids by the names of Heero and Kitra “Good luck,” I said extending a friendly hand to our opponent's. “We don’t need it we’re the best dancers in town we have never lost,” Heero had said Kitra had stuck her tongue out at us. “Well prepare to,” I had said I looked at the two with a competitive look “Kaden how are we supposed to win we’ve never danced together,” Mayu had whispered. “Well, uh we just have to try our best,” I had said. The music started and Kitra and Heero were up first they weren't’t lying when the said they were good. I was starting to have second thoughts about dancing but I couldn't’t just back down, I’d never forgive myself. Their dance was over it was our turn. Once the music started me and Mayu had started dancing once our hands clasped it felt like something had taken over my body I couldn't’t explain it. My heart skipped a beat as we just started dancing moving our feet I moved my feet like I had done this with her a hindered times we whirled around smiled I looked in her eyes she looked so happy it made me feel good. When I looked around everyone was silent once the music ended me and Mayu took a bow everyone stood up and was clapping. Everyone excect Heero and Kitra that is they just stood there their mouths wide open. “The judges have decided with a vote of 4 to 1 the team of Kaden and Mayu has won,” Winslow had announced we both jumped up and down and hugged each other Shasha also stared with her mouth opened I didn't’t know it at the time but I was blushing. “Now for the final round will the last two remaining contestants please step forward,” Winslow said Petia and the other person stepped up. “MOM!” Shasha had yelled as we looked standing right opposite of Petia was Ms. Weshia pokeball in hand. “Sorry dear but my reputation as the best trainer in the village is at stake,” Ms. Weshia said we all looked at her in amazement except for Petia she had a grin on her face. “The match is one on one no weapons,” Winslow said. “Go! Ponyta,” Petia said her blue flame Pokemon came galloping out of the pokeball neighing and stamping her feet. “Go! Swellow,” Mrs. Weshia said a Swellow came out it was big enough to hold a person I was surprised but yet what Pokemon here was normal size. “Now don’t go easy on me because I’m the princess,” Petia said with a confident smile. “Don’t worry dear I don’t intend to,” Mrs. Weshia said smiling back. “Battle, Begin!” Winslow had said the battle was intense both Ponyta and Swellow had amazing speed flames and winds were flying all over the place it was hard to tell who was winning. “Bandits! Bandits!” someone cried as they ran from the village gate in a panic as the battle abruptly stopped Petia, Shasha, Mayu, and I ran toward the village gate.
