"Just Wing it"

I had to face Erika in the semifinals? My best friend? "We have to face our best friend," I said to Pikachu as I poured myself some cerial. "You have to do some excercising." I handed Pikachu a small bowl of diet Poke`snacks.
"We have an hour and a half," I said. "I want you to practice your agility." Pikachu finished eating and then we practiced.
My sister's Kadabra threw Psybeam's at Pikachu and Pikachu practiced dodging them. He almost got hit in the head, but Pikachu jumped above it just in time. "Pika Pii," Pikachu said to Kadabra. Kadabra nodded and then shot an orange beam of light at my laptop. It said TIME TO GO! on it.
"Oh, wow," I muttered. "Kadabra, teleport."

Kadabra wished us good luck and then teleported back to the hospital to check on Marie. "Hey, DK," Erika said, smiling at me.
I gave her a high five. "You ready?" she asked.
    "You bet, buddy," I said.
"We won the coin toss, so we go first. Staryu and I are ready."
"The following contest a the number one semifinal match-up. In one corner there is Erika and Staryu. In the other , it will be DK and Pikachu," Gary said. "Let's waste no time. Let the match begin!"
The bell rang and then all of a sudden the lights flashed on. There were only about 16 kids in the gymnasium, but they were loud. Half of them were chanting "Pikachu, Pikachu, Pikachu" and the other half, "Staryu, Staryu, Staryu".
"Talk about pressure," I said to Pikachu. "Can you do it?"
Pikachu rolled his eyes and gave me a thumbs-up.
"Okay, Pikachu, let's do it," I said. Pikachu jumped off of my shoulder.
"Staryu, I choose you!" Erika said throwing her Lure Ball into the air. A star-shapes light appeared and then turned into Staryu. Erika didn't waste any time. "Staryu, Bubblebeam!"
"Pikachu, Agility and Quick Attack." Pikachu glowed white and ran right THROUGH the bubbles and slammed hard into Staryu, knocking it to the ground.
"Staryu, Swift Attack, quick." Staryu's energy pod glowed white and dozens of white stars hit Pikachu.
"Pikachu, show Staryu your own Swift." Pikachu shot dozens of little white stars out of his cheeks and hit Staryu.
    "Staryu, Twister, now!"
Staryu lowed white and spun at Pikachu, but Pikachu jumped on top of the spinning Staryu, and used Spark. Staryu fell to the ground. "Recover!" Erika cried.
Staryu glowed white and bounced back to his feet. Oh no. Staryu could revitalize itself. Pikachu had to do something before Staryu used Recover.
"Thunderbolt!" I ordered. Pikachu shot a huge blast of electricity at Staryu. He kept going until the energy pod broke and Staryu fainted.
The refree stood over Staryu and raised his arm. "Staryu is unable to battle. "Here is your winner, DK!" Pikachu jumped into my arms. I smiled.
"Good match," Erika said. She held out her hand. I shook it.
"I hope you win," Erika said.
"Thanks," I said. "Do you want to come with me when I go to with me on my journey? I mean, if you want to train water Pokemon, you have to look everywhere."
Erika smiled and nodded. We sat in the bleachers as Karl and his Krabby took on Wendy and Totodile.
After a grueling 25 minutes of batteling, Totodile beat Krabby with Rage and advanced to the finals.
"Okay!" Gary said. "It's the moment we've all been waiting for." I ran down to the gym floor and Pikachu jumped off of my head. "Okay. Now go heal your Pokemon on the healing machine, and we'll begin the match."
After our Pokemon were healed, Wendy started quickly. She wanted the match to be over as quickly as possible. "Totodile, Water Gun!" Totodile shot a stream of water at Pikachu. Pikachu fell to the ground, but rolled over and got back to his feet.
    "Pikachu, Swift!"
Pikachu shot about twenty stars out of his cheeks. Totodile tried to run away, but the stars followed him and hit hin in the back. "Oh no," Wendy muttered. "I forgot the Swift never misses unless you use Dig. Totodile, Bite!"
Totodile used Bite and almost bit Pikachu's tail, but Poikachu jumped on Totodile's head and then jumping back up used Thundershock. Totodile jumped out of the way and used Scratch. Pikachu fell to the ground, holding his hurt face.
"Totodile, let's end this quickly with a Bubblebeam!"
Totodile shot lots of rock hard bubbles out of his mouth. "Pikachu, pop those bubbles, with a Thundershock." Pikachu used Thundershock and popped all of the bubbles. Then it started to be an all-out fight. Totodile and Pikachu started scratching at each other.
"Totodile, stop it, use a Headbutt!"
Totodile tried to bash its head into Pikachu, but Pikachu vanished and appeared again beside Totodile. It had used Double Team and Agility at the same time! Now there were two Pikachus. "Thunderbolt," I said. The copy of Pikachu vanished and Pikachu used a huge Thunderbolt, knocking Totodile to the ground. Totodile started to get up, but fainted.
    "NO!" Wendy cried. "Totodile, return!"
"Here is your winner, DK!" Gary announced. "Wendy, wait!"
There was a loud roar of applause. The refree handed me a Pokedex and a check for 50 grand. "Congradulations." He smiled and walked away.

"I can't believe you're leaving," Mom said. She hugged me. "Kadabra will teleport you home to pack your things. Go say bye to your sister and your new niece and nephew."
I walked into my sister's hospital room. She smiled and kissed me on the cheek. I picked up my new little relatives and kissed them both. "See you guys later." Kadabra shot a white beam of light at me and Pikachu. We reappeared in the air in no time. We fell about three feet and onto my bed. I packed six Pokeballs into one of my backpack pockets. In the other I packed food. There were seven pockets in my pack. In the food pocket I packed about for cans of soup, a bag of marshmallows, bottles waters and sodas, three sandwiches wrapped in foil, a frozen pizza, bags of chips, and candy bars.
"This is it," I said to Pikachu. "Our journey begins, right now. We'll meet Erika at the park, and start our quest, to be the best!" Pikachu and I slapped high fives, and began our journey.
