An Adventure to Remember Part 6: by Dimitri Dixon
"Telekenisis"

"I haven't nicknames you guys yet, have I?" I asked turning to my Pokemon as we sat in the Pokemon Center in Hardton Village. "I've been giving it a lot of thought." I turned to Pikachu. "Pikachu, how would you like the nickname, Sparky?"
Pikachu shook his head. "How about, Pika?" Pikachu gave it a thumbs down. "How about Crash?"
Pikachu thought about it for a second. "Pikaaa, Pika!" It jumped up and hugged me. Crash was Pikachu.
"Houndour, how about, Flame?" Houndour nodded in agreement. I looked up at my Noctowl who had been quiet since I caught it. "Wazzup, Noctowl?" I asked. I looked up at the flag pole that he was perched on.
"Noctowl, Noctowl," it said shaking its head.
"Come on, buddy. You can tell me anything. I know something is wrong."
Noctowl perched itself on top of my head and began to speak to me in thought. "It was about this time a year ago when I was seperated from my flock. Actually it was exactly a year ago today. I found them again in a week, and they all used their Psybeams on me at the same time. I was attacked by a group of wild Growlithe the next day. I was so bruised and battered, I barely got away. With an injured wing, an injured tail, and an injured pride, I was lucky to get away. So I hunted for myself and stole food from sleeping trainers, and then you caught me a week ago. You've been really nice. By the way, I would like for my nickname to be Nocty. That was my name in my old flock of Hoothoot and Noctowl."
Noctowl flew off of my head. "Nocty, Flame, and Crash," I repeated.

Crash lied on my chest as we stayed at a hotel next to the Pokemon Center in the village. Nocty was in a basket with blankets around him, and Flame, who preferred the dark, lied in the empty closet with Swirly, Erika's Poliwag. Star stayed in its Pokeball.
I was only half asleep when I heard a crash. Erika jumped up on the bunk below me. I jumped right off of the top bunk, forgetting that Crash was on my chest. He fell safely on top of a pillow. He darted out of the door after me.
John and Jill along with Grimer and Zubat were in the living room part of the hotel room. Our table was broken in half and the big screened TV was cracked. "John, I told you not to make so much noise!" Jill snapped. "Now the twerps are awake."
"Well, let's waste no time in that case. Zubat, Wing Attack." Zubat's wings glowed white and it flew at Erika's head,
"AAAHH!" Erika screamed. She dodged out of the way and Zubat went right through the TV.
"Grimer, Smog Attack!" Jill cried. Her little gray Pokemon shot a black substance from its mouth and it almost hit me in the chest, but I moved out of the way. It hit the wall and started to melt through this.
"Crash, use your Thundershock!" I cried. My little Pikachu bolted out of the room and used a huge Thundershock on Grimer. Grimer fell to the ground in a purple puddle, but reformed itself.
"Swirly, use Swift attack," Erika said to her Poliwag. Swirly shot little golden stars out of its swirled stomach and it hit Jill right in the face. "Ohhh!" Jill held her face as blood dripped from it. I almost felt sorry for her.
"Zubat, get up and use Bite." John's Zubat bit onto Swirly and flew into the air. All of a sudden Flame appeared out of nowhere and tackled Zubat, knocking Poliwag out of his mouth.
"That's Houndour's Faint Attack," John muttered as he backed to the wall, in fear. Swirly, Crash, and Flame stared down Team Rocket and their Pokemon.
"Flame, Ember, Crash, Thunderbolt!" I commanded.
"Swirly, use your most powerful, Bubblebeam!" The three attacks slammed into Team rocket. They flew through the big window and vanished into the sky.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" they cried as they flew through the night sky, but not the way they wanted to fly.

"Okay, so in order to get to the next gym, we have to go through Hardton Village, and then Hardton Forest," I said as we walked through the little town. "And we can get to the next city by Halloween if we only stop three times."
"Well, let's get--" Erika started. She stopped dead when she saw two water Pokemon washed up on shore. Corsola and Squirtle. They looked like they had been traveling together.
"Crash, are they wild?" I asked. Crash looked up at me and nodded. The Pokemon were in bad shape.
"We have to get them to a Pokemon Center," I said. I took a Pokeball out of my pocket and threw it at Squirtle. I picked up the Pokeball and ran towards the Pokemon Center about three blocks back. Erika caught the Corsola and we ran to the center. Ran the whole way. "Weren't you two just here 10 minutes, ago?" Nurse Joy asked.
"We found two Pokemon, and they're hurt really badly," I said. "We need them to be healed. It looks like they're bruised and burned. Please help us!"

The two Pokemon were rushed into the E.R. "Squirtle's breathing rate is extremely labored," Nurse Joy said. "It needs critical treatment. Corsola is fading. We need the electric pushers!"
A male doctor ran into the room. He was wheeling in a silver cart. He put Corsola into it and plugged a cord in the cart in. Corsola vibrated and whimpered. Squirtle had a mask over his face, since it could no longer breathe on its own. "Will they be okay?" Erika asked the male doctor.
"They'll be fine," he said. "Well, I'm sure that Corsola will, but Squirtle might have to stay here overnight."
I was about to thank him and go check when the next bus left to the edge of Hardton Forest, when a trainer walked into the center. He had on a black sleeveless shirt and green baggy pants. He had gotten a bunch of people to sign his pants.
He handed three Pokeballs to Burse Joy and she put them on a tray and placed them in a healing machine.
"Hey," he said. He sat down and watched the baseball game that was on TV. The Seakings were beating the Electabuzz 5 to 1.
"Hey," I said back. "I'm DK. I see you like baseball."
"Yep," he said. "I'm Tyler. But all my friends call me Tye. Who do you want to win?"
"The Seakings," I said. I sat down on the couch beside him. Tye seemed like a nice kid. He took off his hat revealing a red headband and braids. He looked a lot like Brock-- except he had exceptable eyes.
"Hey, do you have a father named Brock?" I asked.
"Yeah, I do," Tye said. "Why do you ask? Is he in some kind of trouble?"
"No. But that means that we're cousins! Brock is my uncle!"
Tye and I slapped high fives. "Hey, your Squirtle is fully healed," Nurse Joy said. She handed me my Pokeball. "It happened all of a sudden. Almost like... magic, or some sort of telekenisis."
    "Hey," Erika said. "Who's he?"
"This is my cousin, Tye." Nurse Joy handed his Pokeballs back. "Well, your Pokemon are fully healed. Here you go."
Tye had a Gastly, a Spearow, and a Totodile. The three of us walked to the bus stop. Another adventure would await us.
