An Adventure With Pokemon

"I choose you!"

I'm Andy. I'm ten years old. My best friend Dana was my age. The reason we became friends was because our birthdays were on the same day. "Can't we get out of here?" she asked. I turned to us. "We play Pokemon at school, but instead we should play Chickenmon because you're a CHICKEN!"
Dana sighed as I pulled her deep into the old Granger house. "Hurry up before Old woman Granger gets back," I urged her. We ran down to the basement. I gasped!
Everywhere we looked were pokeballs. She must have worked for Team Rocket, I thought. There must have been up to 60 pokemon. "Wow!" I yelled. Then something caught my eye.
Three glass balls. Inside the one on the right was Zapdos. The one on the left was Moltres! In the middle was the most powerful of them all, the legendary Articuno! "She caught, or stole the three legendary pokemon?" I asked in awe. "I think so," Dana said giving me a playful shove. She tugged at my arm. "But can we please get outta here? I can't wait until the people get rid of it." I laughed. "And I can't wait to get rid of you!"
 Dana and I started to argue about of we should release all of the pokemon or not. "Well, first of all, nobody has ever caught the legendary pokemon! This isn't the first time it happened."
I had a flashback of when I was three years old and seeing the three legendary bird pokemon being stolen and destroying the orange islands with rage until some ugly boy named Ash Ketchum saved them. I watched on TV. Pokemon everywhere.
I banged on the glass balls with a brick on the floor. "Forget about it," Dana begged. "Shut the heck up!!!!!!!!!!!!" I yelled I yelled so hard a pokeball fell off of the shelf and opened. Vulpix came out.
I heard Old woman Granger. "Hide," I whispered. We hid in a suit of armor hanging on the wall. Vulpix hit in it too. I stood on the bottom, Dana on my shoulder and Vulpix in the head. "Who has been banging on my precious glass creations?" she asked. She saw the cracks in her glass balls! I thought. I peeked out from the breastplate. She was looking for us. "I smell ya kids!" she snapped. I held my breath. She threw a pokeball.
A Growlithe was sniffing us out. He stopped in front of the suit of armor and sent a stream of fire at us. The armor fell apart. Dana and I forced smiles and waved. "Growlithe, use your flamethrower on them!" Granger yelled.
"This is the end," I said to Dana. We held hands ready for the hyper blow. Suddenly anoth-er stream of fire hit Growlithe's. "Vulpix!" Dana yelled. They were both blowing fire at full blasts. They went up like a fire line. "NOW!" Vulpix's red fire turned into blue fire, the most powerful. All of the fire hit Growlithe. Growlithe skidded back.
 Vulpix did a victory growl. "YOU MEDALING BRATS!" Old woman Granger yelled. She yelled so hard the glass broke. Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres flew over her. They shot their attacks everywhere. Pokeballs fell, books exploded. A pokeball flew into Dana's hand. I grabbed Vulpix and we ran out of the old creaky building. As the building exploded in a big yellow and blue pod of light. A yellow, red and blue light sped out of the fire.
Dana and I ducked as the explosion rushed over us. I head to put one hand on Dana and one hand on my hat to keep them from blowing away. The fire passed. "Thanks," Dana said hugging me tightly.

I had a dream that night. Old woman Granger's ghost coming back and her pokemon destroying Vulpix. I woke up in cold sweat. I saw Vulpix laying there on my dresser sound asleep. "You're okay?" I said relieved putting a finger on her head.

"Bye Mum!" I yelled. She hugged me with tears rolling up in her eyes. Dana knocked on the door. She had Bellsprout at her side. I rushed outside.
"So, Bellsprout was in the pokeball that fell in your hand?" I asked her. Dana nodded. "I opened it when I got home yesterday. I was so surprised I forgot to call you." Dana and I got on our bikes and rode them through town. "Prof. Davis gave me a poke'dex," Dana said. She handed me one and she handed me five pokeballs. "Thanks," I said.
"I bet Mum would never let me come out here without Vulpix and a friend," I told Dana. She laughed. "My Mum said the same thing about Bellsprout and you," Dana giggled. Then I heard rustling in the bushes. At first I thought it was the leaves blowing against the hard ground.
"You hear that?" I asked. Dana shook her head.
Meanwhile in the bushes... "Jack!" a girl whispered. "We're new members of Team Rocket and now that Granger is locked up in jail because of those to MEDALING twerps we have to get them and we can't do that with you eating Choco-Chew-Bars every 10 minutes!"
A man about 16 glared at her. "Well Jone, I wouldn't talk on the count of you being a vegetairon and that stupid Magnemite of your always coming out of its pokeball," Jack said. Jone stuck her tounge out at him. "When we get to the sign that says route 15 you attack them with your Venonat," Jone ordered.
It started to rain. Dana and I pedaled our bikes faster. "This rain really messes up my hair!" Dana complained. "A little rain won't make your hair completely fall out!" I told her. "Oh no?" she asked.
Route 14 was a little village. A pokemon center, a poke'mart. About a dozen houses and a dance theatre but noting more. The only pokemon there were a little bit of Caterpie. There were no cars, just bikes. "I want strong pokemon, not Caterpie!" I groaned. "I wanna train grass pokemon," Dana said. "But I hate Weedle, Caterpie and Pinsir!"
"How long until we reach route 15?" Dana asked. "About 20 minutes," I replied. Vulpix and Bellsprout were tired out. Bellsprout rode in Dana's basket and Vulpix rode in mine. "Hey, do you think taking these pokemon back from Old woman Granger was stealing?" I asked. Dana shook her head. "They followed us, remember?"
"Route 15!" Jone said. Jack had already started on another Choco-Chew-Bar. "Those two twerps should be here any minute."
We reached route 15. "Here we are," I said. Suddenly two 16 year olds jumped at us. "Get ready for trouble and don't try anything because it's double!"
"To protect the world from devestation. To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love. To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jone!"
"Jack!"
"Team Rocket circling cities all day and night. Give us your pokemon or prepare for a fight!"
"You don't scare us," I said. "Venonat go!" Jack yelled. Bellsprout and Vulpix jumped at Venonat. "Venonat, confusion!" Jack ordered. Jone smiled. Venonat glowed blue. Vulpix and Bellsprout stopped in mid-air. Venonat jumped up and down. Bellsprout and Vulpix fell to the ground with a sickening thud!
"Magnemite, I choose you!" Jone said. She threw a pokeball at us. Magnemite popped out. "Thundershock!"
"I don't think so," Dana said. "Bellsprout!" Bellsprout jumped in front of the thundershock. The elctricity went into the ground. Jone grunted. "Vulpix, pay back the favor with ember now," I ordered. Vulpix shot a stream of fire at Magenmite. It flew into Venonat. "Venonat, get up and give them your quick attack!" Jack ordered. Venonat ran full speed at Bellsprout and Vulpix. Vulpix jumped in front of Bellsprout and took the blow!
Vulpix flew through the air. "VULPIX!" I caught it in my hands. "Thanks Jerry," Dana said. She smiled and turned toward Venonat. "Bellsprout, razor leaf attack!" Bellsprout shot four sharp leaves. Two hit Venonat and two hit Magnemite. They tumbled to the ground. "That was the most powerful razor leaf I ever seen," I complemented to Bellsprout. Vulpix struggled to stand up and shot a line of fire at Venonat.
Venonat ran around and looked like a fireball. "Venonat return!" Jack yelled. Magnemite slammed into Vulpix. Vulpix and Bellsprout rammed Magnemite back. "Finish it off with your vine whip," Dana ordered. "Vulpix, help Bellsprout out with bite attack." Bellsprout whipped Venonat while Vulpix bit it. Magnemite automatically self detsructed. "JUMP!" Dana and I said at the same time. They dodged the explosion.
A red beam shot out of the fire and into Jone's open pokeball. They ran off. "You may have won this round but we'll be back!" they yelled. "Come back again, we'll be glad to beat you!" Dana called after them sticking her tounge out.
"We did it," I muttered. "WE DID IT! We won our first pokemon battle fair and square. YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!"

"There are no serious injuries," Nurse Joy said. "Thank you," I said taking back Vulpix. I hugged Vulpix. "But all I wish as that Team Rocket doesn't come back."
