Ep. 24

After viewing the ominous name of the title we remember and flash back to a little story we may have forgotten. Once upon a time, Ash, along with Pikachu and Team Rocket, got a chance to explore a group of underground caverns where pokemon that NEC wanted you to believe were "extinct" roamed around and were.... well.... not extinct. But anyway, during this escapade, Ash's little mind happens to stumble upon a freaky looking egg. Being the small minded creature that he was, he screwed everything he usually lectures to little kids about leaving the ecosystem alone to grab this egg which soon would become the evil Togepi.

Over the next few years, we would see Togepi latch itself into Misty's ball of energy. This freaky eggy thingy brainwashed Misty into spending almost all its time caring for Togepi brushing it up so that it would one day, become the ruler of the pokemon world. Now of course, this has not sat well with many of the Pokemopolis faithful. Thus the dodgemasters among with others wondered about and wished for the day that Togepi would be eradicated.

Well wonder no more.... because that day has come. And Misty, Pokemopolis, Togepi's subordinates that it was brainwashing, as well as the entire world would be liberated from this egg that has become a pokemon cancer.... This freaky egg thingy...... this Togepi!!!!

With that in mind, we catch up NOT with our threesome as they continue to approach Saffron City, but rather we are viewing the skyline of Saffron City where the city is totally bustling. We go through a still frame of one of its streets where it looks like everyone is shopping. But somewhere in this background, we see a group of police officers (including the extra corrupt Jenny who let a Grimer con-artist scam her into helping his business for awhile) standing around this one honest looking chap while one of the cops is applying a nightstick to him. Only on pokemon can a children's cartoon get away with police brutality....

We then go into this one house in the city area where we see a dish being washed carefully. It's not SuperBrock but it is a tall, somewhat endearing woman with long-black hair. It's not just any chick, it's the Saffron City gym leader, Sabrina. Apparently, she is washing up after psychically ingesting her dinner. She telepathically places the dishwashing soap back in the cupboard appearing quite happy unlike when we first met her as the evil bitch being controlled by that little doll.

"That was a great meal.... thank you for helping me clean up, Espeon", remarks Sabrina to her cat like pokemon as her Kadabra also brings some more dinnerware for her to set up. She thanks Kadabra saying that it will help her set the table for dinner tomorrow. Damn...... she gets chores done real early.... don't she? With that out of the way she figures that she'd better tidy up her gym in case anybody wants to come there and challenge her. And as we expect (though not so early), she gets visitors.

But we only notice the silhouettes of these two individuals come in surrounded by darkness and spooky noises to make little kids fear them. "Are you Sabrina, the gym leader?", asks the one spooky person who sounds like a evil, seductive woman. "Uh.... yeah... why?", Sabrina replies. "We got bad news for you... we're taking it over!!", says the other individual.... a man with a scratchy voice.

"Wha??? No way!!! Kadabra.... stop them!!!!", demands Sabrina as Kadabra charges forth to stop these two spooky evildoers. But the two of them activate this spherical device they have which starts to spin around. Somehow, the energy from this device neutralizes the psychic powers that Sabrina and her pokemon have. "What's going on?", asks Sabrina in horror. The man approaches with his scratchy voice putting his hands on her saying, "I'm afraid we're going to have to put you away for a little while." Sabrina lets out a horrific scream like she's about to be raped as we get a close-up of her horrified face.

<cue intro>

Now we get to catch up with our threesome as they approach Saffron City and their gym leader who was unknowingly subdued by two individuals and their weird device. Misty is looking much more brightly than usual at Crystal today as this feeling that she is getting must be growing stronger with each passing day. But the question remains for Misty... what is this feeling? This damn feeling??? She doesn't know!!!

"So Crystal.... how do think you will fare in your upcoming gym battle against the Saffron City Gym leader???", asks Justin sounding like a fake news reporter. Crystal is not the thick-headed, adamant Ash Ketchum so she says humbly, "I can't guarantee anything but we're going to try as hard as we can to win. Isn't that right, guys??", she asks as we notice her carrying her knapsack of "goodies". "Sa-shrew!!!" and "Pika-pikachu!", respond the two critters traveling with her. "Well you'd better start trying real soon.... cuz there's Saffron City!", proclaims Misty. And lo and behold, Saffron City is beaming brightly right ahead of them.

"It's seems even bigger than the last time we were here", notes Crystal looking at the skyline shining in the twilight. Crystal asks if they think the gym will be open now but Justin replies that he doesn't think so and convenient that leads him to suggest that they should rest up for the night. The girls agree with him as they all get all their sleeping supplies ready to pack up for the night.

Back at the gym, our fearless superhuman threesome known as codename: Team Rocket, is carefully observing the Saffron City Gym and they notice that the lights are out in the main area of the gym. "Everything looks ready!", notes Jessie. James adds, "Time to invade the gym.... all right Mecha-Alakazam... time to move in!!" And a human sized mecha-Alakazam comes out of the thick brush with who else but the mad feline scientist Meowth inside of it. "Wit da psychic powas of dis baby, dem gym people will have no chance and will be subdued! Den we wait for dose twerps ta come and challenge da gym leada and den we take Sandshrew and Pikachu wit our mecha-Alakazam!!"

"Let's begin the invasion!", says Jessie as Wobbuffet pops out ready to invade along with them. But Jessie tells it, "Just because you have that military salute doesn't mean you're a fearsome invader!" "Wooooooooooobbbuuuhhhffet!!!",

shouts the patiently obedient blue thingy as it's sucked back into its pokeball. We see them bust the doors of the gym and come in straightforward to invade the gym.

"Ha hah..... prepare for trouble, Meowth's robotic"
"And make it double before he goes psychotic"
"To protect our plan from false deception"
"To unite all pokemon with extra sensory perception"
"To denounce the evils of malfunctioning circuits"
"To capture all pokemon and give trainers fits"
"Jessie"
"James"
"It's Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight"
"Meowth, that's right!!"
"Wooooooooobbbuuuhh Wooooooobbbuuuhhhffet!!!" exclaims Wobbuffet popping out.

"Well... the loser brigade has followed us to Saffron City. I guess your motto is really slacking these days.", proclaims the woman who laughs before adding, "Sorry Jessie.... but we got here first to execute our scheme." "Now we'll have to get you out of the way, too!", says the scratchy-voiced man. "What are ya talkin' about?? Who are ya?", asks Meowth.

"You've heard the rest, now you'll hear the best" says the woman as cheesy evil music begins to play.
"So prepare for trouble and make it double", adds the man
"To infect the world with devastation"
"To blight all peoples in every nation"
"To denounce the goodness of truth and love"
"To extend our wrath to the stars above"
"Cassidy" (Stepping out of the shadows)
"and Butch" (Doing likewise)
"Team Rocket circling Earth all day and all night"
"Surrender to us now or you'll surely lose the fight"
"Raticate!!!!"

"It's Botch!!!!", shouts James very loudly as Botch, I mean, Butch replies, "Watch your mouth!!" "And Cassidy, too!!", angrily proclaims Jessie as she and Cassidy continue their ex-relationship war. "Why is it that you constantly arrive when we hatch a scheme?", asks Cassidy. "Maybe it's because you want to steal our brilliant ideas...", laughs Jessie. Cassidy answers, "That's funny, because according to the boss, you schemes have been anything but brilliant." Jessie freezes in panic as Cassidy continues, "In fact, they've all been failures.... just like you!" Jessie falls over as Wobbuffet pats it on its back in encouragement. Jessie pops back up and yells, "The only thing that's always been a failure is your hairstyle." Cassidy freezes for a moment in panic as Jessie has embarrassed her right back.

Meanwhile, Butch is belittling James about one of their last encounters. He tells TR, "Well it's about time we wiped you out of our plans... especially you, birdboy!", sounding very homophobic. And then.... for a brief moment, another flash of brilliance comes from out of James. A moment when asserts his proud and "flaming" self. James boldly proclaims, "Who are you to tell me to be eradicated. I can never be eradicated..." "Huh?", states Jessie and Cassidy together. "For I am Moltres... and Moltres will soar above all eradicators!!" "Oh great, not this again", mutters Cassidy. James concludes, "Now Botch, you can either surrender now or Moltres will swallow your team whole!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

But Jessie, Butch, and Cassidy don't feel like seeing the lovely character that James already was change again. As great as the flaming Moltres James is, I don't think Jessie could take any more of it. So Jessie yells at the flaming one, "James, I thought we already established that you weren't a Moltres!" With Cassidy actually looking on in agreement, James slumps down becoming the regular James again and says depressedly, "Oh yeah.... sorry!" "Woooooobbbuuhhhffet!!", shouts Wobbuffet around James trying to cheer him up again.

Now to the action, Jessie tells Meowth, "We have to get rid of these two.... Meowth, fire up the mecha-Alakazam!" "Firin' up da mecha-Alakazam!!", replies an obedient Meowth as psychic waves are emitted from the robot. Cassidy laughs as she proclaims sinisterly that they'll take care of their scrap of metal and orders Butch to fire up dark energy machine. Butch pulls a lever on this black sperical machine as we notice dark light waves emitted from it. The dark energy neutralizes the mecha-Alakazam as it begins to levitate Jessie, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet.

"Daaaaaahhh! What's happenin' ta us??", wonders Meowth. Cassidy answers him, "Heh heh... our dark energy machine is using all its energy to subdue all of you as well as any psychic energy going around." "Hmmm.... they have us there", utters James as Jessie looks at him unfavorably. "Woooobbbuuhhh Woooobbbuuhhffet!!", shouts Wobbuffet as its panicking as it can't control its motions. Butch then has the device slam TR into one of the gym's walls. "Quiet!!", shouts Butch who pauses to chuckle and then he continues, "Well as usual.... you three are pushovers. And now that you three and the gym leader is out of the way, we can wait for that teenage punk with the red-hair to come here with that girl competing in the Kanto League. When she comes here to challenge for a badge, that bratty redhead will show up with her. Then, we can take that rare egg pokemon that she carries everywhere and then it'll be fighting for us.

TR picks itself up off the wall looking beaten up. "Dey said dey were gonna steal Togepi...", says Meowth. "Remember when we stole Togepi, Meowth?", reminds Jessie as they go through a flashback scene where they brought Togepi to Giovanni but Giovanni didn't want to deal with Togepi leeching off of it and taking over Team Rocket. So Giovanni yelled harshly at them. Back out of the flashback, Jessie whispers, "The boss doesn't want Togepi. When Butch and Cassidy bring him Togepi, they may demote them and promote us." "We could all definitely use a promotion... especially me", says James. Meowth dodgingly adds, "All I want is some feline companionship", not particularly mentioning which sex of Meowth he'd prefer.

So TR rises up to B & C and quickly wishes them good luck in fulfilling their scheme to take Togepi. "The boss will really reward you for Togepi", heckles Jessie secretly. "Won't you three freaky ingrates shut your traps??", states Cassidy, "Butch, put them away." Butch obeys Cassidy and uses the dark energy device to send Team Rocket flying out of the gym but they don't blast off yet. Hey... I can't blast our beloved TR off yet..... it's too soon.

Once Team Rocket is vanished, Cassidy laughs pompously and then proclaims that it's time to hatch their plan and capture Togepi. Butch turns up the dark energy device to full power stating that they should have Togepi before they know it.

Off in the woods, the threesome, Pikachu, Sandshrew, and Togepi are all sitting around the campfire as Crystal is thinking about her next gym badge. Misty then tells her a little bit about Sabrina from the last time Ash encountered her. With another one of those strange smiles on Misty's face, she begins to tell Crystal about how Sabrina was being controlled by this little doll. She then told Crystal and Justin about how they were teleported inside her toybox and how Ash had to find a ghost to save her. "She may not carry around a doll anymore but her psychic pokemon are still very powerful", finishes Misty.

Just then, a mysterious black ray of light comes around the camp. No can pick up this energy except for the dark Togepi who beckons, "Togi?", and then stands up as if to think that it's found an abundant source of hypnotic, evil energy nearby and then Togepi happily walks off away from its former dark energy source, Misty. Togepi then happily pursues the source of this energy so it can become more powerful and become the world ruler more quickly.

Unaware that Togepi has disappeared, The threesome talk about the usual upcoming gym match. "Yeah... and if you don't prepare for this match the right way she may treat you like a doll. And you like a doll again", mentions Justin. "That's not funny!", growls Misty who then recants, "....... but at least we don't have to worry about becoming real toys this time.... I hope." Justin asks Crystal how she is going to plan her attack on Sabrina and adds that psychic pokemon are weak against ghost and bug types.

"Hmmm... ", ponders Crystal looking like trying to get back into an acid trip she's just had, "I don't really have any pokemon that are strong against psychic pokemon right now. I don't have any ghost pokemon available to me that I know. And bug types...... hey.... maybe I could ask Professor Oak to send me Heracross." Justin proclaims that it is worth a shot but Misty tells her very caringly if she thinks she can handle Heracross since she's never trained the horny bug before.

"Oh.... well I..." starts Crystal who was seemingly outpointed by Misty but is saved from embarrassment by Pikachu and Sandshrew shouting about something. "Guys?", wonders Crystal looking at the duo as Justin figures out that something is wrong. Misty gasps and realizes that Togepi is missing as the evil egg-thingy's motion sensors within Misty have finally been activated. Everyone looks frantically for the evil egg thingy who is looking for the source of the powerful dark energy waves.

Crystal then decides that they'll have to rely on Noctowl to find Togepi. Noctowl comes out with the white powder flying out of its pokeball as it shouts out its call. The owl pokemon was in a world of drug abuse in the mean forests near Goldenrod City until Ash came and rescued Noctowl. Thus, it was able to clean up mightily while it was in Ash's care, away from the mean woods and the drug abuse that was prevalent inside them. But now that Noctowl is with Crystal, it seems to have regressed back into the drug world some more and looks more jittery than usual.

Crystal then tells Noctowl that they need its help to find Togepi and with a twitch of the head, the owl pokemon begins sensing hypnotic waves as only it can. It then picks up the emanation of the evil egg thingy and begins to fly towards the city with Crystal, Sandshrew, Pikachu, and eventually the rest in tow. They follow Noctowl until they arrive in the city and eventually find Togepi walking around just outside the Saffron Gym. Justin notes that the search has landed them at the pokemon gym as Crystal quips that at least that's out of their way.

"Togepi.... come back here!!", shouts Misty as if it has any influence on the future world leader. Togepi then heads into the gym seeking all the dark power it can get its evil little paws on. When the twerps do enter into the gym, Misty calls for Togepi and to her shock, Togepi is trapped inside a bubble of that dark energy device where it appears to be in total ecstasy as it absorbs those dark rays of energy.

"Togepi!!", yells Misty as B & C come out of the shadows. "You've turned the tables on us before", states Cassidy. "Now we're going to turn the tables on you! And Togepi is going to be ours.", finishes Butch. "You two again!!!", screams Misty. Crystal demands, "Who are you two?", as Justin then swiftly and loudly proclaims, "I know them, they're Butch and Cassidy. They're from Team Rocket." "Who do you think you are trying to take Togepi?", storms Crystal as Pikachu storms, "Pikachu!!!!"

"We know exactly who we are!", says Butch who then turns towards Misty, "Now listen you little red-haired brat, you've ruined one too many of our plans. So we're taking your most prized possession for good." "Togepi is ours now and there is nothing you can do about it. Fire up the dark energy device!", demands Cassidy. The machine begins to spin with Togepi in the middle of it as the evil egg thingy soaks up all the dark energy it can.

The machine eventually takes control of the threesome's body along with Pikachu and Sandshrew as well. Cassidy laughs with a sinister tone as she tells them about the device and how it can control them (much like Togepi will be able to control them if it gets too much power). But even though Misty can't stay on the ground, she isn't going to lose her host that easily and screams for Staryu to come out and attack. Crystal asks for Noctowl to help out as well. Butch and Cassidy don't back down from the fight though as they send out Raticate and Primeape to fight.

Misty looks at Togepi who secretly makes Misty wistful that Togepi is trapped in the little bubble inside that machine. "Don't worry.... I'll save you, Togepi!", sniffs Misty, "Staryu.... tackle attack!!" Staryu tackles Raticate who gets out of the way with a pursuit attack. Eventually, Raticate gets on Staryu's tube-footed legs and begins to go after Staryu. Misty tells it to hang on before Noctowl cuts it off with a tackle attack of its own.

Butch orders Primeape to use dynamic punch as Cris-tal hastily orders Noctowl to dodge the fists of Primeape. Noctowl dodges all the fists as it then tackles Primeape. All the pokemon continue to tackle each other and trade blows as the threesome hear some people faintly yelling out in distress. Misty proclaims that someone is in trouble as Crystal (who probably wishes she could light up a blunt about now) believes that it must be the gym leader. She then opens her eyes in shock as she thinks she also hears TR.

"But aren't we....", begins Misty only thinking about the TR she wants to probably execute by now. "No.... I mean the Team Rocket we normally deal with..... Jessie, James, and Meowth", assures Crystal. Justin then comes up with an idea and asks for Misty and Crystal to distract B & C with the pokemon battle while he sneaks off and tries to rescue the prisoners. Crystal okays it as Justin tries to sneak off. But before he does, we see Togepi as it continues to garner some more dark energy which may eventually make it the most powerful hypnotic being in the pokemon world if it takes in too much power.

Up in the mock prison chamber that Butch and Cassidy have set up, Sabrina is being held in a jail shielded by a futuristic looking glass shield. (Team Rocket is in the other jail.) "Help.... somebody help!!", shouts Sabrina waiting for the suave Prince Charming to come and rescue him wherever he may be. Though her rescue call is not as charming as the "Kadabra!!!", coming from her (most-likely German) accented Kadabra. "Heeeeeeeeeelllpp!!", shouts a frustrated Meowth inside the other cell with Jessie and James (no Wobbuffet). "I hate this... it's so cold, dank, and lonely in here", adds the flamboyantly nervous James. And then, well what a convenience, Justin arrvies checking out who's held prisoner.

Hmm..... Is there anyone other than James who could be flamboyantly nervous on the planet?? Not as far as I know.

He shouts, "Hello??", and notices Sabrina and her psychic pokemon passing right by TR as if they were thin air. Justin asks if she is the gym leader and she says that she is and wonders if she knows how to open the cell door. Sabrina responds that there are a couple of red buttons inside one of the circuit breakers on the wall opposite the cells. "Don't worry... I'll find them!", assures Justin who opens a couple of the boxes to try and find the buttons perhaps thinking that maybe he can make a move on the psychic chick if he rescues her. But his hopes are unceremoniously dashed when Cassidy loudly clears her throat upon entrance into the chamber to get Justin's attention.

Now on the surface, maybe she was doing that to try and get rid of him for the Team Rocket cause. But if you're a gal like Cassidy and you see a rather attractive late teen inside your holding cell, what would you do??

So she asks him in slightly sexy, slightly parenting, slightly evil tone, "Heh.... well, well, well, I've got another intruder in here!" Justin gasps at the presence of Cassidy in her dominatrix black TR uniform. But before a potential porno can ensue, we must take our commercial break to maintain some level-headedness.

<cue commercial> Who's that pokemon??

"It's Dodrio!!!" .............................. "Ccaaaaaaawwww!!!"

"And just what do you think you're doing??", says Cassidy with that slightly sexy, slightly parenting, slightly evil tone. But Justin is not your basic conformist or a male ho. Shouting back, Justin says, "What do I think I'm doing??? I THINK I'm going to free the gym leader! And then I THINK I'm going to help her run you two out of this gym." Cassidy steps back with a smirk on her face seemingly turned on by him.

Oh the tension!!

"Unfortunately you're going to remain here with the rest of the ingrates", declares Cassidy and calls out the break-dancing Drowzee (from Pikachu Re-Volts). Justin declares back that he won't be beaten by her and counters with the all-powerful............. oh I'm sorry, he has chosen Hoothoot. Great decision for when your life is potentially on the line but anyway, the battle ensues. Hoothoot goes to tackle Drowzee but is repelled back by a confusion attack.

Cassidy then orders Drowzee to use its mega punch attack but Hoothoot dodges it and pecks Drowzee back. Drowzee is then told to try a psychic attack but Justin has Hoothoot evade it by flying away. It then tackles Drowzee at a high speed making it woozy and it stumbles around. Justin capitalizes on the opportunity by aggressively telling the pint-sized owl to use hypnosis. So the studious looking Hoothoot stares deeply into Drowzee making it look even more f*cked up before Drowzee passes out.

"Drowzee.... get back up!", demands Cassidy making her lose a little bit of respect for being able to control everything. But Justin put a move on the match declaring, "I'm afraid this is over.... okay Hoothoot, use dream eater!" Hoothoot has these white sparks begin to emanate from Drowzee as they appear to drawing towards Hoothoot. Drowzee begins to cry out in unconscious pain for a moment before it finally looks spent.

"Ugh.... my Drowzee!", shouts Cassidy in sadness, "You'll be sorry you no good punk!", she says losing interest in him since she can't control him. She exits back towards the main room with Drowzee in her arms (See... Drowzee wasn't a loser after all...) as Justin turns back towards Sabrina and presses the red button that opens the glass cell and frees Sabrina and her pokemon. She comes out looking kind of weak from absorbing all that psychic energy.

"Are you okay?", asks Justin not making any advances towards her perhaps afraid of her telekinetic powers. (Well.. He does have to deal with Togepi.... isn't that enough?) Sabrina replies that she'll be alright and that B & C are controlling everyone with some kind of dark energy device. "That device..", ponders Justin who then remembers that Togepi is in that contraption. "That big circular thing that has Togepi inside!", he gasps.

"What? There's a pokemon inside of that thing??", asks Sabrina. She explains worriedly that if B & C's contraption really emits dark energy to the pokemon inside, then that pokemon is in danger. Togepi's hypnotic control of Justin takes control of him with Justin believing that the freaky egg thingy is in trouble and then he shouts with Sabrina, "Togepi's in trouble?? Then let's hurry! Hoothoot return!"

They leave towards the gym area without freeing Team Rocket who's still looking out inside the cell. When they finally realize that Justin and Sabrina have left them in their cell, they begin to frantically move their limbs around and yell out for help. "Heeeeeeeyy.... what about us?", yells Meowth. "You can't just leave us to rot in here, we didn't even anything evil yet!", declares Jessie. (Ahh good ol' Jess, always thinking like a villain first.) "Yeah", summarizes James sounding like a flake as Wobbuffet stands patiently behind them saluting their efforts to get some help.

After a few moments of complaining by TR, Justin quickly comes back to free TR from their cell telling them rudely, "You're welcome!!", before quickly leaving again. James sniffs in gratitude saying, "That twerp is so nice, we should only try to steal from him once a week." Jessie steps on him with her boot yelling for him to can it and to head for the gym.

We zoom back to see Togepi silently absorbing all of the evil energy it needs to become the all-powerful ruler of the world. While this continues, Butch has Primeape use its thrash attack to basically go ballistic and start whoopin ass. Noctowl and Staryu avoid the first couple of blows but Primeape catches up to them and punches out first Noctowl (to the concern of Crystal) and then Staryu (to the concern of Misty).

As Butch laughs, Togepi continues to telepathically ingest all of the evil energy. Until........... at one moment... it looks up with no one watching and its eyes become an evil shade of red!!! Welcome to hell everybody!!!

Butch then laughs at the girls saying, "Well, ha ha ha, it looks like you lost your fight for Togepi which makes it ours." "That's what you get for messing with Team Rocket you little red haired brat", snarls Cassidy showing a tendency to pick fights with cute girls. But knowing that she has plenty of pokemon in reserve as does Crystal, Misty shouts at her, "Sorry Cassidy, but this fight is far from over."

As Cassidy huh's in bewilderment, Justin and Sabrina rush out of the cell room and Justin yells at the crew down there that the dark energy machine is dangerous and that they have to destroy it. "We're not going to let you destroy our machine if we can help it!", says the scratchy-throated Butch. "But Justin.... what about Togepi? We can't destroy that thing while Togepi is inside!", says Togepi through Misty via telepathic control.

"If we let Togepi stay in that machine, Togepi will become an evil entity", chillingly says Sabrina misinformed about Togepi who was already an evil spirit. "Evil?", says Misty worriedly, "But still... I can't hurt my Togepi by attacking that machine." "Misty's right... we can't just ignore Togepi in there", remarks Crystal who has let her drug abuse let Togepi get to her, too. So if the so-called heroes can't help Togepi from fulfilling its evil destiny, maybe our real

heroes can..... thus, TR races into the gym.

"For da love of God.... what da heck is goin on???", asks a very concerned Meowth. "I don't have a good feeling about Togepi being in that contraption", rightfully proclaims James adding feebly, "I'm scared. "Well we're not going to let that get in the way of destroying your stupid dark energy machine. We want it destroyed!", shouts an irritated Jessie who then throws out Arbok who tells it to use poison sting on the machine. Arbok pelts the machine with stingers as Misty can only gasp as she tries to understand what is going on and to escape Togepi's control. But the machine doesn't budge an inch at the moment and B & C don't want to see TR interfere in their plans. So Butch sends Primeape to try and stop Arbok.

Jessie shouts at Arbok to look out as Wobbuffet also warns it next to her popping up out of nowhere. Jessie looks puzzledly at the patiently pleased pokemon (even now) and tells it to hurrily get in there and counter. Thus, Wobbuffet jumps right in front of Arbok whom Primape is charging at. And after it takes five seconds for Primeape to run five meters, it is thrown back by Wobbuffet's counter. "Primeape... get back up!", commands Butch with his already scratchy voice starting to go out.

But as Wobbuffet is fighting for truth and justice, Togepi has become evil and ready to kick someone's candy ass. It first begins to wag its fingers back and forth to pretend to use metronome when its really using its newfound powers. "We have to do something before that machine is wrecked", notes Sabrina. "Yeah... but what can we do?", asks a puzzled Justin as Togepi's evil tendrils begin to glow up. Then the dark energy machine begins to sizzle and explode to the horror and shock of everybody, especially Misty who thinks Togepi may have been scrambled.

Thus begins the apocalypse..............................................

And from out of the smoke comes the newly all-powerful Togepi that can begin to take its place as the almighty world ruler..... provided that nothing can stop it. "Togepi?", wonders Misty while Butch and Cassidy beam with evil delight. "All right... Togepi has changed! Now it belongs to us!", proclaims Butch. But the evil Togepi quickly turns to them shouting through psychic messages, "Quiet you underlings! Now that you have powered me up, I can take my place as the evil ruler of the world!', as it then blasts Butch and Cassidy with a burst of bright energy.

Togepi then turns towards Misty and the other twerps saying that it thanks Misty and Pikachu for being in Togepi's service making her work for its evil entertainment while it portrayed itself as an innocent baby. "Pikachu!!", shouts Pikachu in outrage as Misty yells at it, "Why you...", but she is restrained by a worried Justin and a worried Crystal. "I don't balieve it!", states a stunned Meowth, "Dat Togepi posed itself as an innocent baby and lived offa Misty's energy and kept its world domination plot hidden by secretly hypnotizin alla us! What a cruel trick on alla us!!"

The evil Togepi with its eyes flashing bright red turns towards our beloved TR and proclaims, "Hah... do you have a problem with that Meowth?" TR buckles and shakes very nervously as Meowth says, "Uh..... huh huh... no... I feel ya pain bein a naturally evil pokemon like me." "Quiet! I have no sympathy for you, you pathetic excuse for a creature!", shouts Togepi psychically. "Daaaaaaaaaah!", exclaims a disappointed Meowth with his jaw hanging down. "I condemn you to leave now!" as it flashes its eyes towards TR with thunder rolling.

TR is trembling before the all powerful Togepi and as a last ditch effort to try and counter Togepi, Jessie orders Arbok and Wobbuffet to fight Togepi. The two pokemon of the lovely Jessie turn to fight Togepi. But the evil egg thingy somehow makes the thunder rumble as it summons a heavy dosage of powerful evil energy. Thus, Arbok and Wobbuffet wisely run in the opposite direction nervously crying out, "Chaaaaaar-bok", and, "WOOOOOOOOOBBUUUUUHH!" respectively.

"Why are running towards us? Uuuuuuuuugggghhhhh.... I'm so scared!", says a very scared James as the two pokemon hide behind TR. Then they look up and see Togepi brimming with all sorts of evil energy ready to destroy our heroes. "Uh oh", sarcastically laughs Jessie. Togepi then proclaims, "Away with you scum in my new castle!", as it then uses its hands to powerfully teleport TR levitating them in the air. "Not dis again!", exclaims Meowth being telepathically controlled. James just continues to whine, "I'm so scared!", as Jessie tries to comfort him so maybe she can unwind with some sex later after experiencing this horror.

Then, in a horrific display of newly achieved power, Togepi exudes an enormous amount of evil energy to the shock of the threesome, Sabrina, Sandshrew, and Pikachu. It then uses this energy and an upward flick of its tendrils to send TR flying through the roof and out of the building. "Uuuuuuuggggghhh... I'm so scared!", says James one more time as Wobbuffet still salutes them despite the terror unfolding.

<sniff> We entreat thee, Wobbuffet! Oh....... and...

"Team Rocket's blasting off agaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiinn!" "Wooooooobbbuuuuuhhhh!"

Togepi then maniacally laughs and turns towards who's left in the building. "Hah.... Doom to those who mess with the almighty Togepi! Now.... to begin my rule as the evil king of the pokemon world! Mwa hah hah hah hah!", it beckons. Misty, who's still in disbelief from the turn of events as is everyone else in the gym, actually apologizes to Togepi for letting it become evil and that she'll do what she can to get it back to normal.

...................................apologizes??? Man, Togepi really took a lot out of her!!!

Justin disciplines Togepi yelling what kind of evil entity it is that abuses a poor young girl that helped raise it as it used all of her friends for its entertainment. "Quiet!", shouts Togepi as Sabrina, Crystal, and Justin look on in anger, "Now that I can conquer the natural world, the first thing that I, the evil Togepi, will do..." It looks towards Misty as it brings up some more evil zapping energy.

Gulp.... so much for Misty...

But mother nature has one more secret weapon against Togepi that the freaky evil egg thingy did not anticipate. It's called..................... evolution!! That's right, the same force that used its sinister powerful to rob us of the joyous Koffing is now working in a good way.... perhaps to make up for the Koffing incident.

Togepi starts to flash to the nervous wonder of those present. "What's it doing?", mutters a bewildered Misty. "No.... bad timing!! I can't evolve now.... I'll lose all my power. Not now! NOT NOW!!!!!", shouts Togepi desperately, beaten by mother nature. "It's evolving!", remarks Sabrina as Crystal gapes in astonishment shouting, "No way!" Pikachu says, "Piiiiiiiiiiii - kaaaaahh", also astonished by the turn of events.

And thus, the evil that was Togepi shouts a death yell as it becomes a flashing white plasma organism which then becomes...

.......... Togetic!!

Yes, what was once the evil freaky egg thingy which controlled Misty and everyone else at its leisure has evolved and turned into a not evil, often joyous, mostly white, Woodstock (the bird from Peanuts) looking pokemon. And now, while Togetic isn't Koffing or Wobbuffet or a kick ass pokemon like Onix or Mewtwo, it certainly isn't the much loathed Togepi anymore.

"Is the evil energy gone?", wonders Justin as Sabrina answers that she doesn't sense any evil intentions within the body of the newly born Togetic. Crystal decides wisely to check Dexter for any more possible useful information. We hear................

Togetic - the Charm Pokemon - The evolved form of Togepi. Some say that Togetic will appear before kindhearted, caring people and shower them with happiness.

"Togetic?", says Crystal and then Misty. "You sure it won't act evil there, Sabrina?", asks Justin and Sabrina replies that all the dark energy used by Togepi must have been consumed or dissipated in the evolution. And all the reaction that Justin can muster towards this is.... "Whoa!" Misty then runs towards Togetic, sobs and hugs it saying, "I had no idea what that evil spirit inside of you was doing. But don't worry.... I'll never let anything hurt you or make you evil again."

Justin and Crystal look on warmly as Misty hugs her new, non-evil pokemon. "That's so touching", notes Sabrina as Crystal asks how evolution could possibly dispel evil energy like that. Justin replies to her like a sensei that it must be one of those mysteries of the pokemon world. Misty gets up with Togetic on her shoulder walking towards Crystal. Crystal asks if she is alright as she puts her hand on Misty's other shoulder. Misty says that she is fine and that she's glad it's all over.

That's great except it's not all over. Forget about Butch and Cassidy?? If you have, then shame.........

They fire a pair of bazookas they got from some secret closet they found trapping the threesome, Sabrina, and all the pokemon inside. After Crystal shouts, "What's going on?", as Sandshrew and Pikachu clumsily try to sort out the netting that has trapped them. B & C laugh and Butch snickers, "That's right.... it'll be over. Once we get your pokemon!" "We came here so we can steal that nosy redheaded brat's freaky egg pokemon. And it turns out that we've gotten lucky, now we can take a whole new pokemon", states Cassidy.

Misty grrrr's and yells, "Absolutely not you two thieves!!!" "How low can you two go?", asks Justin loudly. Cassidy answers, "Hey.... now I know who you are. You're the kid that couldn't handle being in Team Rocket so you left", proving that news gets around fast in the TR community. Justin tells her that's none of their business as the TR duo laughs and demands they hand over their pokemon.

Sabrina at this moment tells her two pokemon (Espeon and Kadabra), "You two know what to do." They nod as they then concentrate on using all their telekinetic power to try and rip apart the net. After Butch and Cassidy stare at them for awhile, Kadabra and Espeon's telekinetic powers then rip the net apart as everyone is set free. "Ha ha", laughs Crystal who turns towards Cassidy and Butch as does Sandshrew, "Now you're the ones whose plans are going black.... get them Sandshrew!"

But Cassidy answers her in an arguing lesbian sort of way (like she does with everyone), "We're not done yet... Raticate, stop that rodent!" "You're not stopping Sandshrew", yells back Crystal, "Slash attack!" And Sandshrew pounds the hell out of Raticate before Butch sends Primeape into the fray. Sandshrew avoids all of Primeape's very swift punches. Misty turns to Togetic during this goings ons and asks it, "Do you think you can help us out here?" "Toge-trrriic!", responds the pokemon that has a rather scary resemblance to Woodstock from Peanuts. "Great Togepi!!.. Oops... I mean Togetic!", says Misty.

Primeape lands a blow on Sandshrew which knocks it down but not out. When Crystal urges Sandshrew to hang in there, she hears Togetic whom looks like its ready to fight. "Huh... Togetic?", she wonders as Misty commands it to use a rollout attack. The newly evolved bird starts to roll real fast before it rolls right over Primeape. Butch gasps as Cassidy yells for Raticate to use its hyper fang on Togetic but the white birdy thingy rolls right over Raticate as well. Crystal then has Sandshrew wrap up the affair with a sandstorm pelting B & C with wind and sand forcing them to crash into the nearby wall.

After they lay there dazed for a moment with their pokemon, Butch and Cassidy then panic and decide its time to run for it. But Sabrina has Espeon and Kadabra stop them using telekinetic power and Kadabra's distracting accented call of, "Kadabra!" The two pokemon levitate Cassidy, Butch, Raticate, and Primeape off the ground, around the gym for a little fun before slamming them to the ground. All this amazes Crystal who states, "Whoa... that's some power!" Thus, Butch and Cassidy are defeated as Misty stands over them to yell, "That's what you get for trying to mess with me!", as Togetic adds, "Toge-toge-trriic!"

We then flash forward to when the same corrupt Officer Jenny (the one that bought into the Grimer scandal) with other police that are hauling off Butch and Cassidy to jail. Jenny then says, "Thanks to you, Crystal, those two are going directly back to jail. I hope they didn't cause you too much trouble", with her one track corrupt mind.

"Oh don't worry Officer Jenny! They actually helped us more than hurt us in the end", answers Crystal. "Yeah.... they helped to free my spirit from an evil demon", adds a newly invigorated Misty. "An evil demon?", asks the clueless cop. "That little monster right there!", says Justin pointing to Togetic and playing with it. "What?", says Jenny, "Well I'm glad that those two weren't able to use that evil energy machine to turn this cutie into a monster permanently", proving the Ash-like stupidity she has.

"But what I still don't understand is how a pokemon with evil intentions transforms its personality just by evolving", says Justin. Sabrina answers him that perhaps when a pokemon evolves, so does its mental frame of mind. "I'm sure everyone will be able to evolve from this", PUN-ishes Crystal who then thanks Sabrina for helping them out and then comments about how good her pokemon are. "Don't mention it! I was just protecting my gym", notes Sabrina, "You're Crystal, aren't you?" "Yeah... and the original reason I came here was to...", Crystal says but is cut off by Sabrina. "I know.... you're here for the Kanto League marsh badge", she notes..... you know, with her being a psychic and everything.

"Yeah... we can have the match right now if you're ready", says Crystal though its about 3 in the morning. She then starts to get drowsy and then groans in tiredness. Sabrina smirks and answers, "It's a little late tonight after something like this happening. Let's all take a rest for tonight and we'll have our gym badge tomorrow." Crystal says its okay and Misty says all she wants to do all night is play with her new pokemon Togetic.

Uh oh.... the fact that Misty has a weakness for cute pokemon is a disadvantage here. She could be too infatuated with Togetic.

But then Sabrina tosses her a pokemon and tells her that if she can train it just like a regular pokemon, she will be a much stronger person and pokemon trainer. In other words, she'll be the Misty that everyone likes. Thus, in one of the greatest moments for Togepi haters, Misty compromises with Sabrina and turns towards Togetic and call it into the pokeball sucking the once demonic monster back into the pokeball. Thus now.... what was once the evil Togepi has now become just a regular in the entry of the shows pokemon (and Togetic proved it was pretty good, too!)

And thus, Togepi is gone, Crystal has met the gym leader Sabrina, and they defeated Butch and Cassidy's plans to steal Togepi and make it evil. Man.... Butch and Cassidy really got a lot more than they bargained for with this scheme and I'm sure you'd all agree. So with Togepi's judgment come and gone, Crystal will now have to challenge Sabrina and her incredibly powerful psychic pokemon to a battle for a golden marsh badge. Will she defeat Sabrina??? .......................... or will she get high trying??

Before we end, we check on our beloved Team Rocket one last time as they are sitting around on a hilltop just outside the city preparing to serve the almighty Togepi as the new ruler of the world. They of course weren't around for nature to eradicate the evil that was Togepi. "If were going to have to serve that little egg thing for the rest of eternity, we better be able to steal some nice presents to give to it", notes Jessie. "I know.... we could steal some rare pokemon that can service our new leader", suggests James. "Say... that's not a bad idea", answers Jessie, "What about you.... got any ideas, Meowth?"

"I gots dese chocolate bars", mentions Meowth who holds out a bunch of Hershey's and Nestle Crunch bars. "Meowth!! That won't satisfy our ruler.... Togepi needs fancy chocolates like the ones you get at malls!!", snaps Jessie. "Well I don't feel like givin dat no good omelet anything of value!", yells back Meowth. Jessie and James gasp as Jessie covers Meowth's mouth shouting, "Careful!" "You don't want the almighty Togepi to hear us, do you?", campily adds James.

But Togepi won't be able to hear them fortunately for TR for reasons already mentioned enough times that its not worth repeating. But as we zoom away from TR into the night, there is a piercing sound that everyone does hear. It's the sound of a wuvable blue pokemon calling out into the night.............. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBUUUUUHHHHFFET!"
