The Pain, the Agony, the Braces! By: Dragon Rider SLAM!!! The back door of the Pokemon Center slammed shut, as Aurora, rather red in the face, stormed in. Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, and even Togepi gave her strange looks. “What?” She asked irritably. Her voice sounded strangely muffled, and she didn’t separate her teeth. “Uh, Aurora, why aren’t you opening your mouth…” Ash began slowly, knowing very well what could happen when Aurora was in this mood (having the scars to prove it ^_^). “WHY!?” she thundered, her teeth still not separating. “I’ll tell you why. THESE are why.” As she spoke, she opened her mouth slightly, indicating the rubber bands now attached to her braces. Brock, the only one of the group to formerly have braces, winced in remembrance. They were the worst part of thee entire experience. (A/N: Can you imagine Brock with braces? It’s quite silly. Hehehe…) “Ow…” Brock said quietly, gaining strange looks from his ‘travel buddies,’ as he liked to call them. “What? I used to have braces you know.” He ended, looking from Ash to Misty, wondering why their faces were puffing out like that. He got his answer within seconds. The two burst out in laughter, from the hilarious mental picture of a braced Brock. “You…hehehe…had…hehehe…BRACES! Hahahahaha!” Ash laughed barely able to choke out that much. “Back to the problem at hand.” Aurora shouted, though she was smiling too. “Right! What do we need to do?” Misty said, still letting off chuckles when she looked at Brock. “Get these things off of me!” Aurora exclaimed. “What else?” “How?” Ash asked. “HOW SHOULD I KNOW?” Aurora (er…) roared. “I DIDN’T TAKE ORTHADONTARY IN COLLEGE!” “You didn’t go to college, your only 13.” Ash pointed out. “That’s beside the point. What do we do?” She said, calming down now. They all turned to Brock, gaining a few giggles in return. Pikachu and Togepi went out to the kitchen, in search of something to eat. (How they managed to open the doors will forever stay a mystery. Dun, dun, dun and stuff.) “I don’t know either, don’t look at me.” He said, still irritated from their last outburst. “Wait, I have a plan…” Aurora began, doing her impersonation of Sir Bedavier from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. (NI!) (INSERT CHEESEY SPY MUSIC HERE) The orthodontist’s office. A place of pain, torment, and multi-colored rubber bands. All seems quiet. Or, at least until “OW! Ash, that’s my foot!” comes from the air ducts. The duct cover slid away, and Aurora, hanging upside-down, stuck her head out. Her titan hair hanging above her forehead, not obstructing her vision. She popped back into her duct and motioned that the coast was clear. They popped out, one by one, falling in a heap on the floor. Unfortunately, Pikachu ended up at the bottom. “PIKACHUUUU” cried the furry yellow rodent, giving everyone one of his famous thunderbolts. The scene was a funny one, with the four humans sprawled out on the floor, extra-crispy, and Togepi (who was out of the way of the electric blast) chirping happily in his own little high-pitched way. (^_^) Aurora recovered first, being somewhat resistant to electricity from her countless spars with Rikin. Ash and Misty next, followed by a groaning Brock. “Over here!” Aurora cried, indicating the computer. “What are you doing?” Misty asked, looking over her shoulder at the screen as the computer uploaded. Ash, who was behind Misty and also looking, said “It needs a password.” “Thank you Captain Obvious.” Aurora muttered, and typed in a code. ‘Password: Accepted’ came up on the screen, and Aurora proceeded to look through the records for hers. (And also, secretly, looking for Brock’s.) “What was the password anyway?” Brock asked, looking over other heads to peak onto the screen. Pikachu, seeing the opportunity, jumped on Brock’s head. From there he could see better than on Ash’s shoulder. (Cause Brocks taller, duh!) “It was Monty Python. Duh!” She said, giving him a strange look, of which he returned. “How did you know that?” Misty asked. “Because, Monty Python is the answer to all problems. Plus, my orthodontist is British.” She added, seeing the looks they sent in her direction. “Works for me!” Ash said. “Me too.” Brock stated. (Where is that from…? Oh YEAH! The Simpsons! Do do do do do dodo do dodododo!) “And look at this.” Aurora yelled, her eyes lighting up. In the BRACES REMOVED file, there was twelve-year-old Brock, smiling up at the camera and waving. Also, next to it was a picture of 14-year-old Brock, braces off, and smiling again, though his gums looked red and irritated. Fits of giggles rang out, and Brock blushed brightly. As the laughter diminished, Aurora’s plans popped up on screen, along with instructions on how to remove the awful bits of metal. “Let’s go.” Brock grumbled irritably, sending glares at his friends. “Pika!” (Wait!) Pikachu cried, hopping up onto Aurora’s lap. With a few clicks of the keyboard (boy, that furry little cutie is smart!) the printer came on, and out came a picture of…a braced Brock! The rodent carefully folded up the piece of paper, and stuck it in Ash’s bag, smiling happily. Happily, the group left, grapping Togepi from his play with a dental drill (that things gonna get itself hurt one day). Talk of the next day ensued as they went out the unlocked front door, before Ash asked “Why didn’t we just go in through the door?” “Awww,” Aurora said. “Where’s the fun in that?” Aurora closed her eyes, trying to block out the bright light above her. Why did those dang lights have to be so bright! Anywho, she sat there, her mouth opened, as her brother sat above her, reading the instructions. Misty and Brock also sat around, getting a few tools (which they stole from the office as well) organized and ready. Also, to Aurora’s dislike, Tracy sat nearby, sketching Pikachu and Togepi, as they played nearby. ‘Gay wad’ Aurora thought angrily as she glared at the feminine Pokemon watcher. (A/N: I REALY hate the stupid, idiotic, gay, BAKA!) “Alright, let’s get this over with.” Ash’s voice cut in. He stood up, and said to Misty “First thing, we need that thing that looks like pliers with the flat ends.” Misty handed the object. Aurora groaned. These were the people who were going to operate on her. Well, not operate exactly, more of, preceded a various act on her, outside of the usual first-aid. But isn’t that like an operation… never mind. So, anyway, they got to work. It went well, with the top half of the braces done. Ash, Misty, and Brock, worked while Tracy (whom Aurora had plainly refused to allow anywhere near her mouth while the whole ‘act outside of the usual first aid’ went on) handed them the tools as they called them. Then they got to a certain area that was on tighter, and harder to get off. Ash slipped and… hit the gums. That hurt. “Oops…” Ash voiced meekly, backing away from his furious younger sister. “Just get these things off quickly, and I won’t send you too the hospital.” Aurora growled, glaring at him with icy blue eyes. Just so he knew she wasn’t kidding, she made a fist, and put it in front of her. Next, she flared her powers, making her fist glow menacingly. She then dropped it, and re-opened her mouth, still glaring at him and Tracy in turn. Beginning again, Ash was extra careful (for his own sake) and got off the braces without any more ‘accidents.’ Braces off, Aurora bounced around happily, her face a vision of hyperactive joy. Ash, satisfied she wasn’t going to hurt him, sat by Misty. Brock went over to the kitchen to fix some lunch. Suddenly, Aurora stopped bouncing, and looked thoughtful (or at least as thoughtful as Aurora could look when she was gleeful). “You know…” she began slowly. “There’s only one way I could think off that would make this better. No, wait. Two things!” She twirled her way over to Tracy, who sat in the chair, merely looking confused. Her expression of cluelessness changed to one of fear as Aurora punched him in the face, picked him up by his collar, opened the door, and kicked him out (literally). Turning around she said. “That’s way number one.” Then, she grabbed her CD player, and turned on the radio. Greenday’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” came on at full volume. “DANCE PARTY!” Aurora yelled happily, as she began to dance. Ash too stood up, he turned to Misty and asked (with a cheesy French accent no less) “May I have this dance?” As he said this, he held out his hand. Misty took his hand, and he pulled her up. “Why, I would be delighted.” She replied, and the happy five of them (Poke’s included of course!) danced the afternoon away. Don’t you just love happy endings? ********* * Dragon Rider walks on stage, ignoring the boos, and dodging the assorted pencil cases being thrown at her * “Hello all! You must like me more. Last time it was entire mini- vans! So Anywho, (Can you tell that I like that word?) as you can probably tell, I HATE Tracy (and I’m certainly not alone in that area ^_^). I’m not saying I adore Brock either. In fact, I think the producers should kill off Brock and Tracy (Tracy in a horrifically slow and painful way) and leave Ash and Misty alone (hint hint ^_^). Plus, I find that both May and Max are just plain annoying (They can join Tracy in the horrifically slow and painful torture room of doom and despair (and eventual death)). So, until next time (There won’t BE a next time if no one reviews) Adios me er… um… revieros (reviewers?)! Um…Yeah. OH YEAH! I don’t own Pokemon or Greenday. Wish I did though. I’d be RICH!!! $_$ OH!
