The Coming Of Darkness Part2: The Rise Of A Hero

            {Rune magic..... it is a special force that enables us to 
manipulate the forces around us and direct them as the summoner wishes. The 
rune magic is a diverse sigil, or symbol, which is drawn in the air while 
saying the incantation. Thre are many types of rune magic such as healing 
and even spells to enable levitation.}
        Ash traced the sigil on the cold marble doors of the Patryn outpost. 
It shimmered blue in the air for a few seconds then it disappeared. The door 
omninously creaked open and Ash walked inside..... The city was a vast 
labyrinth of marble and silver. The Patryn magicks (A Partyn term for a 
magic that is used on buildings to conceal or strentghen them.)  worked well 
and hid the city from Sartan view.
         The Sartan commander ripped of his facemask as he kneeled before 
his ranking officer. "We have recieved word of the Patryns escape from the 
labyrinth...." the officer hissed. "Our troops have been stationed at the 
Nexus to stop the Patryns from crossing onto other worlds.... however the 
Patryns have already pushed our forces back through the Nexus.... so it is 
clear we must defend all our worlds... therefore," he countinued I am under 
the orders of the Supreme Court to take over the operation of this world. 
The whole world is now quarantined ." "All the mensch will be rounded up and 
placed in the citadel.. only Sartans will be allowed on the streets to avoid 
confusion.. and we must capture the rouge Patryn." " Yes sir," the commander 
acknowledged as he put on his facemask and walked out of the room.
         Ash sighed as he finished reading the books in the library. The 
knowledge he had gained was invalauble and would prove useful in the future. 
Meanwhile a contingent of Sartan troops were searching for him..... suddenly 
a soldier screamed in suprise as a huge water dragon swallowed him whole. 
The man died a painful death. The boiling water beneath the icy cold water 
of the snakes skin... melted his skin and he also suffocated to death. The 
other soldiers turned around and began attacking the snake only to pierce 
it's skin and be enveloped in boiling water. The summoning of a dragon is 
the most powerful of the magics a Partyn could use. Ash was at his ultimate 
level and could summon the dragon with ease. However it was tiring if he did 
it too much so the water dragon suddenly vanished.
          Out of the fourty that had been in the jungle.... only three 
remained. They started to run when a cage of water captured them. They 
managed to break free and began shooting bolts of lightning at him. Ash 
smiled as he dodged the beams of destruction being aimed at him. With 
criesof outrage and frustration the soldiers attacked with their spears. Ash 
smiled as he slashed a soldier and split him from top to bottom. He grabbed 
the other two and threw one into the air and got impaled on a spear which 
Ash had stuck on the ground. Ash snarled and threw the remaining Sartan on 
the ground. "Go and tell your masters," he growled "Go and tell them that 
starting from today... the Sartans will suffer a fate worse then the 
Labyrinth at the hands of the Patryns ..." He threm the dead bodies into the 
air and used rune magic to teleport the dead bodies and the Sartan soldier 
in front of the citadel for everyone to see.
           Meanwhile on the Nexus... Misty and the rest of the Patryns were 
busy fighting against the Sartan they were to go to Cerulia where they could 
meet up with Ash. Misty's eyes shimmered blue and a wave of water swept 
across the nexus taking out half of the remaining Sartan army which was 
busily retreating. Misty smiled to herself when suddenly a lightning arrow 
surged throught the air to meet her. She blocked it and managed to direct it 
back towards a Sartan bowman killing him instantly. Blood was a second 
flooring as the battle raged on.
