Nope. Don't own nothin'. Now to start the fic...oh yeah, no barbecuing! Bianca was feeling even better than before Ash and Latias came. Still, the hospital wouldn't let her out yet, because they needed to make sure she was okay. Until now, she never thought of the crash before. As she sat on one of the benches in the courtyard, she finally willed herself to remember. There was something about that guy... The motorboat was speeding down the waterway; she could feel the rumble of its engine. As the motorboat came flying around the bend, she could see the guy for a split second. What was that look? Pure evil. "Muahaha! You'll never stop the infamous Geru!" Then, IT happened... Bianca shivered at that thought, to think she remembered it so well. "Bianca?" She jumped at her name. It was nurse Joy. "Oh, did I scare you? I'm sorry. Time to change that bandage for the last time." Oh great, she thought. I hate bandage removal. The only hard part was the last few inches. "Ready?" "Yes ma-am. I'm coming." She responded. "Salamence, use hyper beam!" Dragon trainer shouted. Without hesitation, Salamence wiped out all three pokémon: Mightyena, Sceptile, and Agron. "Jeez, what a wipe out!" Trainer one said. "Mightyena was the best I had!" Girl Trainer two said through tears. "Hmm, not bad. Agron, return!" Macho Trainer three said. Ash walked over to him and asked him his name, aware that Latias had run off somewhere. Dragon trainer was still gloating, and it took Ash a good five minutes to finally get his attention. "Do I know you?" He inquired. "Maybe. What's your name?" "Jake." He replied with pride. His steely eyes were glaring right at Ash. "What do you want? An autograph?" Hehehe...Ash thought. "Hello, Jake!" "A...A...Ash?" Jake stuttered. "Hi Jake. I knew I knew you from somewhere. To bad I had to whoop you so badly on Orange Islands that you cried. Tsk tsk tsk. The bravado of Jake has finally worn off." "You'll pay for this! I have no time for your games. I have to stop Geru!" He shouted as he threw a small gray ball at the ground. He disappeared in smoke. "Coward," May cruelly observed. "He shouldn't run away like that. And anyway, who is Geru?" "I have no idea." Ash said. It was really getting late. The sun was almost set. "Where did Latias run off to?" "I don't know. Probably home, I guess." It was Latias's duty to make sure the city was safe. So when she saw two drunken men fighting over a wad of cash, she had to act. It was nothing big, but someone could get hurt. She flew invisibly over to them and appeared. Some of the townspeople looked up in surprise. She separated the two men, and using her special powers, she sobered the men. "Ja ja ja lai!" She scolded. The two men scowled at her, and one cursed. She then threw him into the water. "#@*&%$!" He shouted. She then lit him up with an immobilize. He floated from the water onto the cement, and he would lie there until it wore off. "Uhh, sorry..." The second man slinked away. Satisfied, she then returned to find Ash gone, and a hint of smoke, barely visible, dissipating. She shrugged and headed back to her home. It was late, anyway. She used sight share with the glowing blue orb, and started talking to her brother. "I feel a very strange presence, Latias." Her brother warned. "Be on the lookout." "How do you know that, brother?" "Since I'm in spirit form, I have unearthly powers. I can detect stuff far beyond the perception of the living." "I place my trust in you. What do you think of this new girl, May?" "She is one of Ash's many friends. I feel she is a very good person, and Ash likes her. I hope you sleep well." Latias disconnected, and settled down in her tree. What a day it had been! She was so overjoyed that she couldn't get to sleep. She thought about Ash Ketchum until she fell to sleep. The next morning, Bianca was walking through the city of Altomare, hoping to be discovered by Ash or Latias. She knew her red and white friend would be disguised as her, so looking for her was like looking for a mirror. She never found Latias or Ash, so she decided to go to the secret garden. She found Latias swinging in the swing, eating an apple. "Hey there." Latias jumped, and then nearly tackled Bianca form hugging. "It's great to see you, too. How 'bout we play a little tag?" "Lai lai lai ja prrr!" Latias responded. They played for a good two hours or more, they were just happy to be together. Latias sensed something, and went over to the fountain. She used sight share, and Bianca joined in. "I can feel my power decreasing, sister. Can you be on the lookout for strange occurrences? I feel the water flow of Altomare is in grave danger." Latios said. "Certainly, brother. I can investigate. Are you in any danger? Should I guard the Soul Dew?" Latias said, as look of concern crossed her face. Bianca understood Latios, but didn't know what Latias was saying. Sort of a one sided conversation for her, like a phone call. "No, but do look after it. It is not the Soul Dew they want. It's the water." "What could they possibly want with Altomare's water supply?" Bianca inquired. "I do not know, but these waters are special. They are the purest of the pure even though they come from the sea. It has a certain...quality to it. I just cannot put it into words. I guess you could say they are...mystical. Yes, that is the word. Mystical..." Latios trailed off. "Bye, brother." Latias trilled. "Bye, Latios. Nice talking with you. It's great to chat with old friends." "To the both of you, I bid farewell. Thank you for your upcoming support." The golden aurora vanished, and they were once again looking at the fountain, back in reality. "Hmm..." Bianca hummed thoughtfully. "What could the mystical Altomare water do besides give us a drink and bath?" "Lai lai lai." Latias offered. "I wish I knew what you could say. I need some counseling, here. Maybe I'll talk it over with Grandpa..." Two weeks later... Ash felt uneasy. The water level of Altomare was dropping about an eighth of and inch a day. People were edgy. The water seemed...plain. It was about eleven o'clock, and Ash was restless. He went out to the balcony of their second story room, gazing at the stars. It was an amazingly clear night, and the moon was full, casting an eerie glow on everything. Breaking the silence of the night was footsteps, fast but sure, as if the feet knew where to take the person. Ash looked down, and a shadowed figure was running along the street. That's odd...Ash thought. He saw the figure stop at a brick wall along a building, look in every direction twice, and slide out a staircase leading into a black abyss. The figure descended. Ash knew he had to follow this person, so he leapt down to the ground, with some protest from his legs. He pulled out the staircase, as the hooded figure had, and carefully picked his way among the staircase. He quietly told Pikachu to light the way, and he came upon a dank basement two flights down. There, in the middle, was the unmistakable black hair and black trench coat with cape he had seen in the pictures and what Bianca had described. "Geru...Ash muttered, quickly covering his mouth. Geru looked up. "Huh? Who said that? Who's there, show yourself!" Geru shouted. That voice...Ash thought. Could it be...? He took a very close look at Geru's hair. Just below the hairline was the slightest hint of auburn...Ash raced all the way up the stairs, not even caring if Gary chased him. He saw the red R emblazoned on the T-shirt underneath. Team Rocket. Ash eluded him long enough for him to give up, and in the morning, he called Professor Oak on the Vid-link phone. "Oh, hey Ash! How's Altomare?" Oak inquired. But on further notice, he realized Ash didn't look happy. "What's wrong?" "Professor Oak, It's about Gary..." Latias was sleeping late one night, when she was awakened by something. She felt in her heart that Ash was in trouble. All of the sudden, her eyes started to glow, and she realized who was communicating through her. Ash...could it be? Did he develop this? He must be desperate. She then saw around her a dirty basement, littered with tools and junk. In the middle of the mess, Ash, May, and Bianca were bound with rope around their wrists. Latias was enraged. Suddenly, she was floating above a second story balcony of the famous hotel. She was slowly taken to a brick wall, where the panel slid open to reveal a basement. She got the message. When she got there, the paneling slid open, just Ash had thought to her. She found them just like Ash had seen them. And in the middle, a gigantic water pumping machine with a Raichu, Plusle, Minun, and Geru guarding it. Bianca was terrified, because this was the same man who crashed into her. She was softly crying, while Ash comforted her. May was shouting outrageous obscenities to Gary, which he seemed to be enjoying. It was at that moment Latias flew in, and shouted loudly. "Ja ja ja lai lai ja prrr lai ja ja!" She furiously called. "Aww, is the little red and white bird angry? Take them down!" He shouted to the electric trio. They started zapping poor Latias hard, and she could barely stand it. Bianca cried even harder, seeing her friend in so much pain (electric is very effective against flying), when suddenly she had and idea. "Latias, remember the move you used against Azumaril?" Bianca asked. Latias looked up barely enough to acknowledge, and relaxed a bit, taking the hits with rising intensity. "What have you got in your puny little head, girl?" Gary asked. "My machine here has already resurrected all dead pokémon in Altomare!" Everyone except Gary gasped. It did WHAT?! "Oh yes, my friends. All the ghosts now belong to me!" Bianca cringed, and yelled "That means Kubutops and Aurodactyl!" "You are very observant. Yes, even they are resurrected." A look of fleeting hope followed as if on queue by Latios rushing in, translucent because he was only a ghost. Outside, shrieks and moans could be heard as townspeople cowered in fear of the ghosts. Latios immediately saw his sister, and tried to help, but she waved him off and winked. Latios was puzzled, but kept his cool and his distance. Just then, a click and whoosh was heard, as Gary immediately was on the floor, paralyzed. Immediately, Latias began to glow yellow, and trilled to Latios, "I know this is the only time I will get to see you, so, I love you." A tear glistened in her eye. Latios hugged her, and moved back. Latias was storing energy through a handy move called bide. It paid back double damage received. She was in pain, but she glided in front of the machine. The electric trio, puzzled to why Latias didn't faint, stopped the offensive. Latias released energy through bide, and they instantly fainted. It didn't stop there. The beam soared through the air, and hit the water-pumping machine. Latios instantly vanished, and the cries for help from above stopped. "Finally, it's over..." Ash said, awestruck. Colors began to swirl in front of her, and she blacked out. Bianca rushed over to Latias, while Ash and May went over to the dart shooter, Professor Oak. "How did you do it? Conjure up the guts to shoot your Grandson?" May asked. "That man" Oak spat, "Is not my Grandson. He is Team Rocket." Gary, now bound and gagged by Bianca and Ash, started to cry. Professor Oak looked away in disgust. So there's part three. How do you like? Please review.
