The begining of the end Part 1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Pikachu, GO" Ash said. His best friend and Pokemon jumped into the arena. This was his most important battle. Today would be the day when the greatst Pokemon Master would be decided. This battle, between Ash and Gary. "Still the same loser. Eevee, go" he said. Out of the Pokeball came out the rare Eevee.
"Eevee, quick attack." Eevee rammed Pikachu massively. But Pikachu stood up again. "Pikachu, Agility." "Eevee, Agility." Both Pokemon were running feircly, but Pikachu withstood most. When Eevee stopped, tired, Pikachu took the advantage. "Pikachu, Thunder," Ash yelled. There was just silence. Eevee fainted. "Ash is the Pokemon Master, he won, he won...," the announcer said. Ash hugged Pikachu. He had won, and his pokemon had done it for him. As he went back to his hotel room, he had news reporters crawling all over him. When he arrived there, he had found Misty sitting on the bed, crying. "Misty, what's wrong," Ash asked. Misty replied, "Now that you are a Pokemon master, you probably never want to see me again. We have been through a lot together. I never had the chance to tell you how I really feel. I love you Ash." Ash was in shock. But he snapped out of it. "Misty, I love you too." They stood up and kissed for a minute. They knew they would be together for a long time.

Palette town. Things were peaceful in the Ketchem residence. Gary was still trying to beat Ash, but he was too strong. Ash and Misty loved each other dearly, and had a steady relationship. But Gary Oak had a plan. He knew one little action could tear Ash Ketchem's career apart.

"Ha, all I have to do is even get close to Misty, and snag a kiss with Ash watching. He will be devastated. The loser won't do anything, knowing him." Gary thought.

That day, Ash was on vacation with Misty in Vermillion City. Pikachu and Ash's other Pokemon were with Professor Oak. They rented a quiet house on the beach. Ash thought the time was perfect. "Misty, I have something to ask you." Ash said quietly.

"Yes Ash?"

"Misty, we have been together for two years. I love you very much."

"I love you too, Ash. What did you want?"

"Misty Kasumi Waterflower, will you marry me?"

Misty was in plain shock. Ash pulled out a ring. It was a Starmie ring, with a 24 karrat diamond on the Starmie's middle. "Of course Ash, I will," She said. They kissed with passion. Gary looked through the window. "Perfect. This makes it all the more better," he said to himself.

The next day, Misty was shopping with Ash. They were out to buy things (at least for Misty). Gary trailed them. "Ash, I'm going to look at dresses, Ok," she asked. Ash nodded and waited outside. Just then, Gary entered the store. He spotted Misty by the dresses. Gary silently into that section. Misty didn't see him."I think you would look sexy in this dress," he said. Misty turned around to come lip to lip with Gary. He dipped into it, and all Misty could do was stand there. "What's taking so long," he thought. He walked to the stores dresses section, to find Misty kissing Gary. He just stood there, as Gary said "Hey Ash, Misty was great last night." All Ash could do was stare. "Ash, I didn't do anything, I..." Misty said, but that was all Ash heard. He ran out of the mall, to the beach house. Misty followed him, but slowly. By the time she reached the house, she was too late. She saw a note laying on the table, the ring on top of it. It said:

Dear Misty,
By the time you read this letter, I will be at the cliff at the ruins of Bill's Lighthouse. I loved you, but all this happened. In heaven and hell, I will always love you.

Love,
Ash Ketchem

She put down the note and started running towards the lighthouse cliffs. She arrived too late. Ash had just jumped from the cliff, Misty yelling his name. He hit the ocean, and floated back up. Misty climbed down very quickly and dragged Ash to shore. He was still alive, but not for long. "Ash, I did not have anything to do with Gary. He caught me by surprise, and when I saw him, he immedialtely kissed me. He was too strong, I couldn't push him away," She said, crying. It was dark. Ash, in between breths, said, "Misty, I'm sorry. I misunderstood. I could not take it. Please forgive me."

"No Ash, don't die, please."

"Take care of Pikachu, and my other Pokemon. Tell Professor Oak everything. I love..."

He then died. Misty just held him and cried. When officer Jenny arrived, she hugged Misty and called an ambulence. She then took Misty to the Ketchem residence. She took Gary into the police station as a potential witness. He said that Ash saw Misty kissing and hugging another man. When he got home, he was surprised to get a phone call from Palette Town's Officer Jenny. She came and took him into custody. Misty had told Jenny and Professor Oak her story. Professor Oak was also ashamed. He revoked Gary's trainers liscense and Pokemon. Gary was then put to work for the Fushia Zoo, cleaning out the Waste Disposal Units.

At the funeral, there was nonstop crying. Misty and Karen Ketchem, Ash's mom, stayed close to each other. Brock came from the Orange islands. Tracey met with Brock in Pewter City. The Elite 4, and the 8 gym leaders headed by Lt. Surge came to the funeral. Professor Oak and Ivy also attended. The Nurse Joys and Jennys came also. Jessie, James, and Meowth, who had quit Team Rocket 1 year before, came. Duplica and her Ditto came with heavy hearts. The last people to attend were Richie, A.J., Samuri, and Bill, who now works with Professor Oak. Somehow, Pidgeot, Butterfree, and Primape came to the funeral. Butterfree, one of Ash's best Pokemon, preformed the Butterfree death ritual by spreading Sleep Powder over him and doing the death dance. Each Gym Leader came and set their badges, one by one, on his coffin. Pikachu was the only one who didn't cry, and consoled Misty. On his Statue, it said "May the children of Heaven bless this boy, and exept him with arms wide open." Ash will always be remembered, but this is not the end of the adventure...
