Disclaimer: This is really stupid. Why in the hell would I pretend to own 
Pokemon?  I mean why in gods name would I be wasting my time writing 
FanFics?

This first chapter is similar to the starting of the show so it’s nothing special. Ok 
so this story starts out in the very beginning. When Ash first receives Pikachu. I 
am going to be playing around with this story since it is my very first, and as much 
as I hate those bastards team rocket... I will include them in my fic but they will 
play a small part in it, but they won’t be included in this chapter.

A Master’s Journey

“ Honey! Wake up, your gonna be late!” screamed a women to her 10 year old son 
who had slept in. Ash bolted upright and jetted strait downstairs and put on his 
slippers. He ran to the door and just before he walked out the door his mom 
grabbed him by his collar. “You’re not leaving without eating and changing first.” 
Said his mom. “ But mom, I am already late!” wined Ash. Mrs. Ketchum shoved a 
piece of toast in his mouth and told him he could leave. “ I can’t believe I over 
slept, how stupid am I?” Said Ash with a mouth full of food. He hadn’t even 
changed his clothes. He looked like a lunatic running towards Professor Oaks lab. 
He was wearing pajamas with little Charmanders, Squirtles, and Bulbasaurs on 
them.

“ Professor Oak!” screamed Ash almost knocking the poor man over. “ Oh hello 
Ash, you seem to have overslept.” Said the Professor “ Yea I know, I was 
wondering if you still had a Pokemon left for me.” Said Ash praying “ I don’t 
think so Ash, why don’t you check?” said Prof. Oak slightly annoyed that this boy 
comes in an hour and half late still thinking he would get a Pokemon. Ash opens 
the first pokeball “ I choose Charmander as my starter.” Said Ash with a smile. 
Nothing came. -Darn! - he thought. “ Ok, then I choose Squirtle as my starter!” 
Nothing came. -DAMNIT- he screamed at himself for being late. “ Ok, Bulbasaur 
will do then.” Nothing came. “ Sorry Ash it seams that there are no more left.” 
Said Prof. Oak sadly. “ C’mon Professor, you don’t have any more left?” said Ash 
depressed. (I think you know what’s comin) “ Weeeellllll, there is this one 
Pokemon, but I don’t think you can handle it, this one doesn’t seem to obey 
anyone” said Prof. Oak. “ Oh please professor can I please have it? I’ll make best 
friends with it, I promise ” said Ash almost at tears. Professor Oak felt bad for Ash 
so he let him have it. “ Ok Ash, but I want you to be extra careful.” Said Professor 
Oak thinking it will never work. “YES! My first Pokemon!” screamed Ash as he 
snatched it out of his hands and let it out. “Oh boy I can’t wait to see what it is” 
said Ash extremely excited. The red light took the form of a yellow mouse 
Pokemon. The Pikachu looked around with a frown on its face and saw two people 
staring down at it. Ash was so excited he picked up Pikachu and hugged it. The 
Pikachu was very pissed so it let out a powerful thundershock attack. 
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” screamed Ash when electricity went throughout his 
body. “ See what I mean?” said Professor Oak staring at the now charbroiled boy. 
“ It doesn’t want to be touched at all, and it also has trouble staying in its 
pokeball.” Said the Professor. “ Don’t worry Professor this Pokemon will be my 
best friend!”

(Ok so I am going to go strait to where Ash is about to leave on his journey 
because I think we all know what happens after that scene. Absolutely nothing...)

“Bye mom! I’ll call you when I get to Viridian City,” said Ash waving to his 
mom. “Bye son remember to wear clean underwear.” Said Mrs. Ketchum.

Ash had just reached the outskirts of Pallet Town. He looked down to his Pikachu 
smiling. Pikachu looked up and smiled back. Right after Ash looked up he was 
flowing with electricity again. “Dammit Pikachu we’re going to have to try and 
work out a couple of things okay Pikachu?” Said Ash very pissed. “ I want us to 
be friends, I want you to think of me as a companion instead of a master, and most 
importantly I want you to stop thundershocking me!” Pikachu looked up at the boy 
and smiled. He jumped up and sat on the boy’s head and then Ash petted him.

“Hey look it’s a Spearow!” said Ash after hours of walking. “Let’s capture it 
Pikachu.” Pikachu jumped off of his head and started to sparkle with electricity. 
“Pikachu” said the yellow mouse. “Go! Quickattack” Pikachu lunged at Spearow 
at super speed. The Spearow was eating and wasn’t looking for a battle. He was 
hit as he turned around. It was pissed. “SPEAROW!!” screamed the red bird.

Just then a flock of Spearow came flying over to where Ash had attacked the 
Pokemon. “Uh-Oh” said Ash as he gulped. Ash ran away with Pikachu on his 
head.

A couple of minutes later Ash was about the to pass out for running so long and to 
top it off the flock of Spearow wasn’t too far behind him. At this point it was 
poring outside and he could barely see anything. Ash squinted his eyes and saw a 
lake. “ I have an idea Pikachu. Let’s hide in that lake.” Pikachu nodded. Just as 
they were about to jump in the lake Ash spotted a Pokemon. “ Hey what’s that?” 
said Ash. He took out his pokedex: Dratini: the dragon Pokemon. This Pokemon 
was considered extinct until recently when a small colony was found underwater.

“ Wow this is a real catch. I can’t let this opportunity slip Pikachu we have to 
catch it.” Said Ash dumbfound that a Pokemon this rare would be just hanging out 
in the open. “GO! ThunderShock” screamed Ash “ Pikachu!” SPEAROW! Was 
heard in the background “The Spearow are closing in, oh no Pikachu we have to 
make this quick. Use...” Just as Ash said they were closing in, Pikachu went crazy 
with attacks on Dratini. After that Ash was confused about how Pikachu did all 
those attacks without him telling but he threw the pokeball at the Dratini for lack 
of time. It wiggled for a while and then --Ding-- it was caught. “Yea we got 
Dratini!” Ash did his victory pose.

“SPEAROW” They were directly behind them. “ RUN!!” Ash and Pikachu, along 
with the new addition to their team in the pokeball, ran into the lake and started to 
swim forward. Both of them started to get tired and then started to sink. After a 
couple of seconds Ash and Pikachu were pulled up to shore with a sharp hook 
stuck to Ash’s shirt. 

Ash and Pikachu stood up and saw a bike. “ There Pikachu lets take that bike out 
of here.” Said Ash while shaking from the cold and from the pain of that sharp 
hook. Even though Ash was hurting he had to ignore the pain. He jumped on the 
bike and Pikachu jumped on him. Ash rode the bike very fast on the trail. While 
riding Ash heard a squeaky little voice:
“ HEY! THATS MY BIKE YOU THEIF, YOU BETTER BRING IT BACK OR 
I’LL...” but that’s all he heard because he was so far away. While riding the bike 
Ash had to slow down because of all the pain he was having from being stabbed 
by that hook. “SPEAROW!” they were still on their tale. “ Oh no Pikachu we’re 
goners.” Ash hit a bump and flipped the bike, Pikachu and himself. At this point 
the flock of spearow were pecking at Pikachu. “ Hey get away form him!” said 
Ash while throwing rocks at them.
 
They spearow flew towards Ash, “ Pikachu!!!!!!!!”  He had shot a lightning bolt 
towards the spearow. The spearow flew away scared to death. Pikachu lay on the 
floor motionless. “Pikachu... Oh no...”

Well? How’d you like it. I want some reviews people. Gimmi some advice on 
what I should do. Also I need some more ideas. Remember, I have to study for 
regents in highschool so it might take me a while to update.
