In a Trainer’s Eyes

Part 8

Well folks, this is the last one! I can’t believe I’m finally finishing my first part series. Thank you to all whom enjoyed this particular fanfiction, and email me at CuteMadi345@ aol.com

**************

The next morning at the stadium after Ash’s and Rachelle’s battle…

" I won?" Ash asks, after his Pikachu just knocked the heck out of Rachelle’s Teddiursa.

" No way!" Rachelle yells. " I can’t believe I lost!"

" I can’t believe I won…" Ash mumbles to himself. Misty and Kasie run out on the field to hug Ash.

" Great job!" Misty says.

" You’re awesome!" Kasie says.

" Hey Kasie, how’d your battle go?" Ash asks.

" I won!" Kasie exclaims. " That means I’ll be battling you now!"

" When’s the battle?" Ash asks.

" Tomorrow at 5:00pm. Can you believe we’re battling for the number 1 spot in the Johto league?" Kasie asks excitedly.

" Yeah." Ash says.

" Hey, I wonder where Rachelle’s running off to?" Misty wonders.

" Huh?" Ash and Kasie say in confusion, but notice Rachelle wasn’t there.

" Exactly. She’s gone. Shouldn’t we find her?" Misty suggests.

" I guess… I’m sure she just went back to the cabin." Kasie says.

" I don’t know, I was going to the bathroom last night and I stepped on this note." Misty says, digging a note out of her pocket. She opens the note and starts to read it.

Dear Ash, Misty, and Pikachu,

I’m sorry I had to leave so soon. Since I lost, I immediately had to leave. I cannot tell you the reason why. I will always remember you through Pokemon, since I’m quitting battling. Thank you for a good time.

Love, Rachelle

" You know, personally I think Rachelle isn’t the losing type." Misty says.

" I see your point." Ash says.

" Should we tell Brock?" Kasie asks.

" I don’t know. He’d be devastated that she left." Misty says. " I think we should wait until we really know what’s going on."

" I don’t know why’d she be a sore loser about this." Kasie says. " She always seemed so sweet and nice."

" I don’t know, I really always thought she was faking it." Ash says.

" Yeah, I got that feeling too." Misty says.

" We should get back to the cabin." Ash says. " Maybe she’s still here."

" Ok." Kasie and Misty say. They run back to the cabin as quickly as they could but find that they missed Rachelle.

" Kasie, is any of her stuff upstairs?" Misty asks.

" Nope. I think she left before we did though." Kasie says, walking through spilled water.

" Hey, through the search for Rachelle, have you guys seen Brock at all?" Ash asks.

" Do you think he went with Rachelle?" Misty suggests.

" Possibly. None of his stuff is in the rooms." Ash says.

" I know this is going to sound totally weird, but do you think Brock could’ve done something to her?" Kasie asks.

" I doubt it." Misty says.

" They could’ve been planning to leave together." Ash says.

" Where though?" Kasie asks.

" I don’t know. We’re gonna have to finish our battle tomorrow first before we can leave." Ash says.

" That means the second after the battle we have to leave." Ash says.

" Ok." Kasie says.

" You know, we shouldn’t worry, I mean, why should we?" Misty asks.

" Yeah, good point. They’re adults or at least almost." Ash says.

" Ok, so why don’t we just chill out until tomorrow?" Kasie suggests.

" Sounds good!" Misty says.

The next day right before their battle…

" Misty! Ash! Come down! You’ve got to hear this!" Kasie yells.

" What?" Ash and Misty say, running down the stairs.

" Listen to the TV!" Kasie says.

" Our latest report found that there were two bodies lying outside the Johto league area. We just got confirmation that one of these bodies was Rachelle Morris, a battler in the Johto league. The other body is still unknown but we do know it was a male." The TV broadcaster said. " Due to these murders, the Johto league is thereby cancelled until next year."

" WHAT!" Ash yells.

" Oh my gosh! They’re dead!" Misty yells.

" But how?" Kasie asks.

" I don’t know, but whoever killed them is gonna pay!" Ash says. " Brock was my best friend!"

" Since the battles are cancelled, we should try to find who killed them." Misty says.

" And how dare they cancel the Johto league!" Ash yells.

" Ok Ash, get a life here! We’ve got more important things to worry about!" Kasie says.

" Ok." Ash whines.

" Good, now get you’re stuff ready. We’re gonna find out who killed our friends." Misty says.

Wow, what an interesting ending. Even I wasn’t expecting that! Lol I’m just kidding you. Stay tuned for the next short three part series finishing this one off, " A True Battle." Thanks for reading this series, hope you liked it, and review! Bai bai folks!
