It was a 'happy sunny day today. Takeshi, Kasumi, Pikachu, and Togetic took a share in this happy mood, but if there was a type weather that described Satoshi Ketchum's mood, was rain clouds. Yep, a single rain cloud made it's home directly over his head…

"Sigh…I know I should be happy, but the news I just heard was very devastating. I've just won the Johto League Championship. Hurray for me…But there's a new quest to go on. To be officially crowned the title of the greatest master, which is my life's dream, I must go out to capture Ho-oh and Lugia. Simple enough huh? Well, here's the scary part, no one and I mean no one comes back alive from the Whirl Islands or Tin Tower attempting to face the birds hidden inside. Even if not, there's a ninety- percent chance you'll die anyway. If you fail, or refuse to, you can never compete I the league again, and you lose your title forever. Even if you could, the shame and humiliation would probably get you first."

Pikachu: "What's wrong? You've been darker than a Houndoom ever could be."

"Gee, I don't know Pikachu, should I tell them?"

Pikachu: "About what? Oh, you don't mean...?" Just the thought of it sent chills down her spine. (Pikachu's a girl in this story. Yeah, yeah I know that in the anime, Pikachu's a boy, but it'll all add up soon. I promise.) "Please don't remind me Pikapi…but are you going to tell them, or you going to let them grieve over you because they don't know where you are?" That did it, he had to tell them.

"Err, hem…Kasumi and Takeshi..." How was he going to break it to them? He took Bayleef's Venusaur's and Croconaw's pokeballs and handed them to them. Kasumi Croconaw and Takeshi Venusaur and Bayleef. "I…I have to leave you two for a long time, and you don't need to worry, I have Pikachu, Quilava and Noctowl with me. So goodbye…" Although 'goodbye' isn't an insult initially, they certainly took it as a insult.

"How could you!"

"I though you were better than that, to abandon your pokemon!"

"Ok Takeshi, think a for a second, if I was abandoning them, why would I leave just Croconaw and Bayleef?" He couldn't answer that. However, Kasumi could.

"You're just trying to get out of returning my bike…"

"Oh Kasumi, that's so weak. Don't worry, I should be back in a couple years."

"Years!? Find if you want to throw your life away that’s fine with me, but do one thing, be careful."

"You don't need to tell me! Let's go Pikachu!" Satoshi runs at top speed not noticing the little pebble in the road, that would trip him sending him into a large rock face first. "Waahh!" He could barely get out "Weird how the little one's get you down, huh…"

Pikachu: "Sigh…this is why I'm coming with you Pikapi…"

It's been two months now and no sign of civilization or the Tin Tower. Of course, every cloud has it's silver lining…

"Finally a town!"

Pikachu: "Yeah, but what's town with no people in it?"

"Well, according to this sign, this is the town that leads directly to Tin Tower at the edge of Ecratck City."

Pikachu: "Um Pikapi, do you get that feeling that someone is watching us…?" Just then several growls could be heard in all directions and then piercing red eyes could be seen.

Houndoom Leader: "What do you think you're doing on our territory boy…?" It hissed which was very unbecoming of dogs.

Pikachu: "We're trying to get to Tin Tower."

Houndoom Leader: "Too bad you won't be making it there. Attack!" About twenty Houndoom leapt towards Pikachu and Satoshi. Pikachu decided to use her best attack first.

Pikachu: "Just wait, I'm gonna' lay the smack down on all yall'!" Zap Cannon left every Houndoom besides the leader, fried to a crisp writhing in pain on the ground. "Chu…"

"Don't worry, Pikachu. Quilava can take on the leader." Quilava popped out ready to fight. She was trying to master evolving to Typhlosion, so she could be as strong as Satoshi's Charizard.

Houndoom Leader: "Let's go!" At first the two were even. Then Houndoom broke away and used Flamethrower. Quilava hadn't learned that yet so she used Flame Wheel, and the two attacks colliding, caused a explosion. Houndoom took that opportunity to make a sneak attack on Quilava using Double Edge.

Quilava: "Quil!!!"

"You can do it don't give up!" Just then Quilava glowed a bright white and grew to about six feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, a bit taller than your average 5'7" Typhlosion weighing 175 pounds. She was much more powerful than a normal one. Houndoom who had lost its cocky attitude, cowered in fear now.

Houndoom Leader: "Hey can't you take a joke? Hey, come on please, I'll help you out."

"How?"

Houndoom Leader: "If you're going to Tin Tower, I image you're going to the Whirl Islands too,to capture Lugia, am I right? One thing that all the trainers who died there forgot one thing. Dark pokemon. Lugia doesn't stand a chance against me. Unless it uses Hydro Pump, then there's a problem."

"Ok then, let's go…Um, by the way, you wouldn't happen to know where Tin Tower is by any chance would you?" Everyone fell over anime style at that one.

Pikachu: "Pikapi, you never change do you?"

It took about a half a day to get to Tin Tower, but it was nighttime by then.

Pikachu: "Why do I get the feeling something bad is going to happen?"

Houndoom Leader: "I don't know, maybe because you're paranoid…And it get's worse…

Pikachu: "Worse…?"

Houndoom Leader: Yeah, all the ghosts come out at night." Houndoom turned around and turn back towards Pikachu wearing a mask. "Mwhahahahahaha!"

Pikachu: "Pika!!!!" She ran behind Satoshi's leg. "Pikapi, Houndoom's starting stuff again!"

"I know, know, Houndoom likes to be a instigator."

Houndoom Leader: "Well, I can't help it if she's a scared if the dark."

A few minutes later…

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

"PPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAA!"

"TYPHLOSION!"

"NNNNOOOCCCTTTOOOWWWLLL!"

Houndoom Leader: "Hahahahahaha! I got you all good! She said in triumph as the others were catching their breath after running several stories up the stairs. Thanks to Houndoom scaring the hell out everyone, the group made it to the final floor of Tin Tower in five minutes instead of thirty.

Pikachu: "What the hell do you think you're doing!!!!"

Typhlosion: "Scaring the hell out of us all!!!!!!"

Noctowl: "I'm gonna teach you how to act, by first landing a couple fists in you're face!!!!!" The two very, very pissed off females, ran forward to give Houndoom some death-dealing blows, but only to be stopped by Satoshi. "What are you doing?!"

"Pikachu, Noctowl, and Typhlosion what you say is all true, but…"

Pikachu, Noctowl, and Typhlosion: "But, what?!!!!!!"

"We won't have gotten to the final floor without Houndoom scaring us. So I'm neutral on that point you two. And, we need to be in perfect harmony when we fight Ho-oh so get it together alright ladies?!!" They all turned their backs on each other and hmphed. "Why did I have to get stuck with one the three things I hate? I hate womanizers, cross dressers, and females with attitude, and why the hell am I stuck with them all?!! Gee, I must have done something really rotten as a kid to deserve this…" He walked through the door leading to Ho-oh which made a really loud creaking sound.

Ho-oh: " Whaaaa? Who's there?"

"Um the name's Satoshi, and came here to capture you."

Ho-oh: Let's not waste anymore time then! Let us do battle!" Ho-oh swooped forward in attempt to knock him off the tower.

"That's a dirty trick!"

Ho-oh: "There's no rules of shivery here!!!!!" Swooping down again. Just then Pikachu, Houndoom, Typhlosion, and Noctowl burst through the door.

Pikachu: "Hey! Leave Pikapi alone!"

Houndoom: "Yeah! Only we get to do that!"

"Oh how comforting…" Typhlosion hit Ho-oh with a Flame Wheel, no effect.

Pikachu: "You moron! Ho-oh's a fire type and flying type! Let me show you how it's done." Pikachu used Zap Cannon, once again nearly bringing Ho-oh to the point of unconsciousness.

Ho-oh: "I will not lose!" It screamed while releasing it's most powerful and secret attack in its rage, Sacred Fire. Which not only threw the others back several feet, but incinerated the whole tower. "Now to finish you off!" It swooped down to knock Satoshi off the tower while he was still dazed from its last attack. It succeeded. Ho-oh knocked him unconscious too. He continued falling until two creatures swooped down and grabbed him. Pikachu, Noctowl, Houndoom, and Typhlosion got out in one piece. "Now I'll finish you all!" It said in a maniacal voice.

"Pidgeot, Sky Attack!" A tan and white colored blur struck Ho-oh's chest. "Charizard finish it with Fire Blast!" Ho-oh couldn't take it anymore and just fainted. A heavy ball was thrown and Ho-oh was captured.

Typhlosion: "Satoshi you're alive!"

"Of course I am. And look Charizard and Pidgeot came back. Look's like Lugia doesn't stand a chance anymore. With Pikachu, Noctowl, Typhlosion, Pidgeot, Houndoom, and Charizard, at my side, it doesn't stand a chance!"

Charizard: "Yo' Pikachu, has something changed about Satoshi?"

Pikachu: "Nope that's your normal, typical Satoshi for ya', and I wouldn't change one thing about him."

"On to the Whirl Islands!"
