My first time doing one of these, so cut me some slack on the criticism.
I hope you like the first chapter.

Part 1: Remembrance

	"Why, Ash? Why did you do it? I knew you cared about Misty, but... I 
didn't think you'd...you'd...die while trying to save her...I just don't 
understand...you were my best friend in the world..." I thought quietly to 
myself while lying in bed on a cold fall night. "Why did you...why did you 
go...without ME?"

*Flashback, three nights ago*

	I was awoken by a noise coming from Misty's tent, about eight feet away 
from me. Without thinking, I burst out of my tent and ran to Misty's. "You all 
right Mist?" I asked worriedly, "Mist? Are you there? alright, if you're not 
gonna answer, I'm comin' in!" Still silence. I unzipped the front of her tent, 
only to find it empty, with a large hole in the back. Looking around, I noticed 
a small envelope on the floor. On the front it read: Ash Ketchum. I ran at once 
to Ash's tent, opening it without saying anything or giving any warning. I was 
barely two steps into the tent when I heard a rustling sound. Shouldn't have 
done that! I shouted on the inside, prior to reciving a little bit of 
Thunderbolt from Pikachu. 
THUD!
I hit the ground hard, narrowly missing Ash's head. "ASH!" I shouted, "WAKE UP! 
THERE'S AN EMERGENCY!" Rolling over, Ash groaned, "Just five more minutes 
mom..."  Author's note: Cut me some slack on the dialogue here. First one I've 
ever written.  "ASH!" I shouted again, "MISTY'S BEEN KID-NAPPED!" At this,in one 
motion, he sprung from his slumber, grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and 
exclaimed, "WHAT!?!?" I explained everything I knew to him and gave him the 
envelope.


Sorry the first chapter is SOOOOOO short(Talk about a cliff hanger,huh.^o^) I 
wrote this one at about...ooh say....12:35 PM Eastern. Well, I'll get to work on 
the next one ASAP.
