The Curse Pokemon- Part 1

 

            “BRIIIIING!!!!!” my alarm clock went off.  It was 8:00 in the 
morning and I was already up. I needed to get up because today is the day when I 
get my pokemon and start off on my quest. I got up and had breakfast with my 
annoying 9-year old brother.  Breakfast isn’t normal when my brother Timmy is 
around. 

            “Hey Katie, don’t you get a pokemon today?  I want a pokemon and I’m 
going to get one when I turn 10 just like you.” He said with a mouthful of bacon 
and hash browns.  “EWWWW Timmy close your mouth!  Don’t make me hit you.” My 
mother was at the stove preparing my breakfast. “Now now Katie, don’t get angry 
at your brother but Timmy your sister’s right you should close your mouth when 
you chew.  Katie, I want you to have a balanced breakfast before you head out to 
the lab.  It’s a long bike ride you know.” My mom sounded worried when I am far 
away for a long time.  “Yes I know Mom I’ve went there before. Don’t worry I’ll 
be fine; I’ll come back before I leave.  Al I need to do is go to mauville from 
here and then take west and take the biking bridge across to Oldale Town and 
head down and I’ll be in Littleroot.”  I said irritably.  “Now if you excuse me 
I got to go or I won’t get that Mudkip I want!”

            I hopped onto my bike and peddled as fast as I can because I was 
already ten minutes late.  “Bye Mom!  I’ll call when I get there!”  I yelled as 
I still peddaled along the valley in Lavaridge. 

            2  hours later

            “Hey Katie your finally here!”  My best friend, Laurie was there and 
sounded bored when she said my name.  The three pokemon were out of their balls, 
playing in the open field in the back of the lab.  “I’m glad I’m here too.  Now 
let’s choose our pokemon and leave on our journey.  

            “Welcome Katie and Laurie.  Do you want to choose your pokemon now 
and leave on your journey or do you want me to explain these pokemon 
characteristics and

Then choose more knowledgeably? I thought. I want a Mudkip, but Treeko and 
Torchic look good too.  “I’ll go with the second choice professor.” I replied.  
“Very well then.  Let’s start with Mudkip. Mudkip like to play a lot and like to 
explore.  It seems to like trainers that are active and will keep up with him.  
Treeko like to climb trees and pick berries.  It will be loyal to any trainer.  
Torchic is very enthusiastic and is happy all the time. She will refuse to be 
alone.  Now you can choose now.”  I sat down and looked at the Mudkip.  Mudkip 
noticed me right away and so did Torchic.

            “Torchic!!!!!!!!!!! Tor Tor Torchic!!!!!!!!”  She hugged me and 
hugged and hugged and hugged.  OOOOOOkay Torchic is not for me.  “I choose 
Mudkip professor.”

Laurie picked up the Treeko and said “I like Treeko. He’s the best for me.”  

            We were given a pokedex and five pokeballs.  Then we hopped on our 
bikes and headed for petalburg City.  

 

            I hope you like this part of the story.  I came up with other ideas 
but currently I have a little case of writers block so I can’t write much until
