Rocket Girl

I think I’m going to make this my main serious fic…two at once drains you of your inspiration, especially if your trained in humor. ^_^

Amber looked up into the face of Jessie.

"What do you mean do I wanna bet?" She said, cuddling Renga to her.

"Don’t play dumb! You know what I mean. Hand her over!" She held out her hand, then motioned to Meowth and James who held guns readily behind her.

Amber didn’t know if they were net guns, tranquilizers or real guns, but the two males were wearing such apologetic looks she didn’t want to find out.

"No…no…Daddy will know!" A coherent sentence was formed though Amber was still clutching Renga with shock.

"Well we ain’t giving it to Daddy so just hand it over…" Jessie said, making a signal that made James and Meowth aim the guns, "Or else…"

"No…no!" Amber dashed around them, heading back up the hill, hoping to catch up to Ash and company. She didn’t bother to ask herself why they would help her, or bother to look back when the guns sounded to answer her earlier question.

"Oh Renga…Renga why can’t we just be together?" She exclaimed, as suddenly rain fell from the sky. Great. Just great.…

Renga made a small noise and buried itself into her arms; Amber thought it sounded like sobbing.

"Give it here you twerp!!!" Jessie was shrieking at the top of her lungs as they raced through the rain.

Where to hide? Where to hide?

Amber is crying, "Please daddy! Rengy didn’t mean it!!"

He shakes his head, "Renga’s dangerous…it must be put away…"

She clutches to his arm, "No! No! It was an accident!"

He shakes her off and recalls Renga into its Pokeball, "Come now…"

Amber is sobbing, "No…No…"

He shakes his head, and turns the key into the lock attached to the ball.

"I’m sorry darling…"

Renga buried her head deeper into her owner’s arms. Sobs racked her body as she tried to understand what was going on.

She was released from the darkness of her Pokeball after so many years alone, to come face to face to her Amber. They had cuddled and cried in happiness together as the other boy shouted…then they had started running.

Run. Run. Run.

After so many years, instead of playing, Amber wanted to run?

It was confusing…very confusing…it made her sad.

She cried and the sky cried.

Renga shook these thoughts out of her head. She had to be more understandable to herself.

Wait- she didn’t even get that thought. Her head felt like it was going to explode.

BOOM!
A loud crash from above signaled thunder and a flash signaled lightning....

Think back to herself…people were chasing them. Yes. That’s why Amber wanted to run. To not be chased…

Confusing…sad and confusing…

She sobbed one more time then called out softly.

Then the world tumbled.

Amber sits on the swing set. She is singing. The words don’t seem to be real, but the tune is melancholy…

Creepy-ish, like in a horror movie.

She calls out and Giovanni shivers. What is with his daughter?

"Amber!" He calls out to her, "Come here love!"

Amber trots to him, reluctantly stopping her song.

"Daddy- Renga’s gone now." She turns from him and walks off.

He shivers again.

Where to run? Where to hide? Amber thought to herself. The rain was falling quicker and now there was thunder and lightning.

Daddy? It was a question in her mind, and she answered it.

"Yes! Lets go to father’s headquarters! They’ll never follow us there!"

Renga was purring softly now and the lightning and thunder had stopped.

Amber looked down and ran, glancing up to read street signs and building names. In no time she was in front of Daddy’s office.

"There! There she is!" Jessie’s shout came down the street, and Amber turned to see her turning the corner and rushing to her.

She stepped inside the building and waved as Jessie stopped in front of the glass door, hand poised to push it open.

Amber pointed up.

Jessie followed the finger and read the words to herself, then the screech that could be heard citywide, "DAMN!!!"

She turned around, pointed down the street, and she, James, and Meowth head back down.

Amber laughed and turned to talk to the secretary, "Hey, I wanna talk to my Dad again."

She nodded and pointed down the hallway, then glanced out the window, "Hey, the rain stopped."

Amber turned too. Indeed it had stopped. It was still cloudy, but dry. Renga was now cuddling into her arms, yet Amber could still feel the pain.

Hmm…

She shook the weird feeling off and walked down the corridor.

Eh- this has maybe one more chapter in it before the sequel can come in. -_- There goes my theory that short chapters = more chapters.
