In the last episode Timmy and Joy make it to Pewter City where Joy’s mom asked Timmy over for dinner… “Well I need to go and train my pokemon for a while, so I guess I’ll see you at dinner.” Timmy said to Joy and her mother. “Ok then. Dinner’s at six. Don’t be late.” Joy’s mom said. “Bye Timmy.” Joy said. Timmy walked out the door, picked up his staff and walked towards a nearby pond. When Timmy got there he set about looking for a water pokemon. “Let’s see what do we have here?” Timmy asked himself on seeing a movement in the water. “Hey it looks like a Poliwag! Great I’ll capture it.” Timmy said. “Go Machop! Machop go out and give that Poliwag a Karate Chop to it’s head and then fish it out of the water.” Timmy commanded his pokemon upon releasing it. The poliwag that Timmy saw was sleeping in the shallows in the pond when it heard a sloshing noise. “Poli? Wag!” Poliwag saw the Machop flying through the air with its hand extended. Poliwag tried to dodge the attack but it was to late, Machop got in a direct hit, and the poliwag was out like a light. “Yeah! You got it Machop!” Timmy cheered. “Now I’ll get.” Timmy said. And without further ado he pulled out a pokeball and flung it at the Poliwag. The ball jiggled once and then was still. “I caught it! Yes!” Timmy celebrated. “Good job Machop! That was great!” Timmy then let out his Poliwag and Mankey. “Poliwag and Mankey, come out.” Timmy said. And of course Poliwag did (like they had much choice). “Wag! Poliwag!” The poliwag said to Timmy. “Mankey!” the Mankey said. “Ok it’s time for us to train. We’ve got a lot to do so it’s fine if we go at a slower pace, but I’d really appreciate it if you gave it your all.” Timmy told his new pokemon. “Ok. Swim twenty laps in the pond, then run ten laps around the pond. Then I want you to try and see if you could work on your Bubble’s strength. Ok Poliwag?” Timmy said. “Poli.” Poliwag said. And without another word it jumped into the pond and started swimming. “Now I want you two to give me a hundred pushups, then a hundred sit ups, and after that Machop can teach you some forms and drills.” Timmy said to Mankey. And so Machop also started to train with Mankey. While they were doing this, Timmy picked up his new bo and worked on improving his strikes and blocks. Two hours later, when they were all finished training; Timmy took out four bottles of water and four small packets of food for them to eat to sustain them while they trained (don’t worry, it isn’t stuff like caffeine pills, it’s just some food). “Here guys, eat this and you should be feeling fine in about twenty minutes. Then we can start training again.” Timmy said as he handed them each a packet and a water bottle. Twenty minutes later Timmy stood up to check on his pokemon. “Let’s see. Poliwag, you’re at level…15. Machop you’re at level… 21. And Mankey you’re at level…18. Good. But it could still use some improvement. Poliwag I want you at level 16 before dinner and Machop I want you at level 22 before dinner also. And Mankey I want you at level 19 by then. We’ll keep doing things the same way as before. Machop when you finish your pushups and sit ups, you can go through the forms and drill that you know by yourself. Poliwag I’m gonna swim and run with you. Let’s go!” Timmy commanded. They all got up and went back to work. By the time they finished, to Timmy’s surprise they had all gained two levels! And Poliwag had even learned a new attack! So they all set of back to Joy’s house to eat.
