Disclaimer: No, I do not own Pokemon. If I did, I'd probably update more often, gain control of the world, and be able to dispose of May. *thinks about May in large metal box* Muaha..

Sadly, I also don't own the few lyrics to the wonderful song, 'Once Upon a December', from the 'Anistasia' movie.. *sobs*

Faces.. Dreams of night and day colliding with each other. Or, was it even that? Night and day.. evil and good? Thunder, and dark..

These were the thoughts that ran through the limp creature's head; even though she was currently unconsious. Unable to move herself. A cry echoed in her head. 'Wake up,' it cried. She knew.. that it was Lightning. But her portion of the body they had shared, was her powers. She was unable to move freely by herself.. that was the former human's problem. Darkness completly flooded her mind, the last whisk of thought, a scar..

A bead..

A dog..

~*~

Air rushed from the sky as the Lugia landed, her head arched; looking for her former master, and friend. She felt the added weight of father and daughter slide off her back, trying to find the dog-like creature that she knew, was her old Master. Her jet-black eyes fixed upon the red-head, who was desperatly crying out, "Where are you", tears glistening in emerald eyes. Even Glimmer started crying out, scanning for the valiant Sam, who had protected her.. 'But, will she ever know?' This thought rang through her head repeatadly, even as she took to the skies. Even as she whipped her tail through trees, parting them to get a closer look of the forest floor.

'It can't be over yet.'

Frantically, Misty searched for her savior; parting bushes, branches of tall oak trees. Pretty much anything that could be parted, or lifted. Glimmer's PokeBall was fastened around her neck; she felt connected to it. Somehow.. She didn't know why, though. All she knew, was that she had to find that creature.

It only took a few moments for her to find the wounded mouse-dog; only a few seconds to rush by her side. Knealing before her, she felt her scrunchie slip out of her hair, strands cascading down her back. Only then did she find it safe to freely sob.

But while sobbing, memories came back to her; odd memories, indeed..

~Flash*Back~

Gunshots. Blood. Four young girls, huddled over their mother's body, laid peacefully in a single, aqua-blue coffin. They knew of no father; he had left years before. Each lock of hair that wasn't hanging on their faces were in their eyes, tears spilling down their cheeks. Three triplets, about 4 in age, comforting a small two year old; an odd sight. But with them, was a teenager; fourteen years of age. Each had come to pay respect to the woman in the coffin; although the teen hadn't known her for very long, it tore her apart, seeing her like this. It made her even more sad, seeing the crying foursome.

Emerald eyes watched them, mahogany-colored hair tied up in a single ponyta-tail. Her pale skin was even more pale; though it didn't bring much notice, due to the odd Pikachu upon her head. Neither could bear to see the sight no longer. As they pulled the young ones away, she whispered: "I'll take care of them. Don't worry."

~*~

Another one soon followed after the first. This one, the small baby girl, tucked gently into her bed; hovering over was the same teen from before. Each were a year older now; yet they looked pretty much the same. The teen.. she was, humming. Something.. No words escaped her lips; only the melody of the song. And that same Pikachu.. it was there, too.

The girl.. there was something, familiar about her.. the toddler with the mop of red hair.. Her eyes widened; it was her. The teen.. so familiar.. yet no identity could be placed upon her. The gentle frame, and emerald eyes, and long brown hair.. Who was she?

~*~

The island.. she remembered the island, and her departure from it. There was a forest there; she remembered, almost going into it. There was banging; although there was no real metal to bang on. What then..? Once, she tried entering; but something pulled her back. There was another thing.. another creature in there, though. She remembered gold.. and emerald..

~End*Flashback~

Her head uprighted, Misty gaped; each seemed to fit into each other.. perfectly. Taking another look at the creature, she stopped breathing; the cave.. the girl.. the eyes.. With panic in her voice, she laid her head on the ground, looking at the creature. It couldn't see her.. but, there was no harm in trying.

"On the wind.. 'cross, the sea
Hear this song, and remem~ber.."

She was startled to see the beast open one large emerald eye, brow slightly cocked.

But still, she sang.

"S-Soon, you'll be.. H-Home, with me.."

The beast seemed to struggle to say something.. but what? Watching silently, Misty started crying; why, she didn't know. Yet both managed to choke out the last phrase to the song;

"Once upon, a Dece-em~ber.."

With wide eyes, the girl grabbed onto the creature's neck; crying. Ash and Anya were confused; the Misty they knew was acting quite strange..

"Sam.."

Smiling, the beast nodded.

"Aye; it's me."

A/N: *sob**sob* Vewy sad, indeed.. *cries* Aye, fer next part to go up, I need at least one review.. but, if you take too long, then there'll be consequences.. May da cheese be with ya anyways, though. ^^
