Chapter One

"Get out here, Dawn! Everyone else's been training for at least five
minutes by now!"

"I'm coming, Charlie! Geez!" The Growlithe ran out to her mentor's
section of the field, dragging her brother, Tanaka, along with her. "I
had to wake Tanaka-"

"Tanaka isn't me concern right now, Dawn," said Charlie, shaking his
head, "It's his problem if he doesn't get up on time."

"But," Dawn said, sticking her nose in the air, "I woke up my brother.
Just as a good Growlithe should."

"And you're a real ANGEL, Dawn," Tanaka snapped.

"Quiet, Tanaka. Now, Dawn, bring your brother over to Ashen, and come
straight back here."

"Ok. Come on, Tanaka." Dawn left the Charizard mentor in his section
of the field, and led her brother to his mentor.

Tanaka flicked his sister's ear. "Why did you have to convince Charlie
to to let you bring me over to Ashen? I can be trusted."

Dawn rolled her eyes. "Oh puh-leez! I couldn't trust you from Point A
to Point B. Tell you what-I want to see if I can trust you to be on
time for lunch today...for a change. Get to the cafeteria hall at
12:00 on the dot."

"Robin's coming with me. I don't care what you say. He's got better-"

"I know, Robin is better than you. Now at quarter of twelve, get
Robin, and meet me in the cafeteria at twelve. Am I clear?"

"Yeah, whatever."

"Good. Now, hurry up. Ashen's waiting for you." Without another word,
Dawn turned around and walked back to Charlie's grounds.

Chapter Twooo

Noontime caught Tanaka and Robin by suprise. At 12:15, they found
themselves racing towards the castle for lunch.

"Now, why does Dawn trust you all of a sudden?" asked Robin, adjusting
his hat as he ran.

"She wanted to see if she COULD trust me, you twit. Now less talkin'
more running."

"Gee, you're pleasant today."

"Thank you," Tanaka growled, opening the castle's door.

The two of them reached the cafeteria just in time for the doors to
slam in front of them.

"Good going, Robin."

"Me? What do I have to do with-"

"Ahem."

Tanaka and Robin turned their headsand saw the head
mistress/commissioner of the castle- a powerful, young Pikachu named
Pika-Power.

"Where WERE you two? Robin, I'll let you off, because you're never
late, but stay here...I want to talk with both of you. Speak Tanaka.
Go ahead."

"Well, Dawn told me to meet her in the cafeteria at 12:00, but I lost
track of time and had to run to find Robin, but I was late because
Robin's slow, and-"

"Yeah, and- Wait...What?"

"It doesn't matter. I'll let you both off easy because I don't know
the cause or the reason behind this, and at this rate, I'll never
know. However, you brought this upon yourselves, so you will both miss
lunch. Is that punishment enough?"

Robin and Tanaka nodded simultaneously. "Yes."

"Good. Now both of you- do something useful." On that note, Pika-Power
turned on her heel and walked back up the hall to her office.

..OK...Chapter 3..

Missing Lunchtime barely bothered the boys, but something happened
that afternoon that was bound to change Tanaka's life.

Dawn, and her best friend, an Arbok named Raddison, emerged into the
hall.

"Hey, Tanaka," said Dawn, "I hear you're advancing to Junior Officer
next week. That's good, after being a Page for so long.

"Tanaka stuck his noe in the air. "I am indeed a Page, and I'm very
much aware that I'll be an Officer next Wednesday."

Dawn laughed. "Well, I'VE already BEEN an Officer! Look at my rank
medals! See? You only have the one medal you get by advancing TO a
Page."

"Oh Yeah?"

"Yeah. And CHARLIE is gunna be a Knight next week! He's on his final
stage of training as a Lieutenant."

"Yeah, well, Ashen is a Lieutenant TOO. And, you know what? They're
both competeing to be Master Mentors-Or, as the Fire-Types are called,
Blazists. ANd once you're a Master, you get to work inside the castle
and do office work, or housework, like dishes and stuff."

"Well, Charlie already WORKS with Pika-Power in his own office.
Charlie, Pika-Power, Moonraker and Tanker are the ONLY FOUR remaining
students of...that Trainer who-"

"Yeah, yeah yeah. I know," Tanaka butted in, "AND Drano and Raikha
train under Pika-Power, at the same time!"

"That's a :Chapter One
