CABIN 109
PART 2
BY GOLDENHEART
"She was as delicate as a flower, yet as strong as a stone."

"Come on Misty, cheer up," Ash whisered to her. "Were going to the best ski resort
in the state!" Misty didn't answer. She just stood there, moving up and down, and rubbing her arms briskly.
"And for free!" Brock added cheerfully. "It's not that I don't want to go, Ash," Misty answered, "I'm just -uh- a little cold."
Ash never thought about that. After all, it was only 8:00 in the morning. And not to mention
they were waiting out on the corner for the train. "If your cold. . .Then, uh . . Here, take my coat."Ash slipped off his own jacket and draped
it over Misty's slender shoulders. The cold air bit into his skin. Crap. Now HE was cold. Misty chuckled heartilly.
"Ashy. . . My little gentleman!" She said sarcasticlly, playfully bumping him in the shoulder.
It was Ash's turn to laugh this time. "There's the Misty I know!" Ash was happy to finally see a smile on Misty's face.
"Ok lovebirds, " Brock teased, "The train should be here any minute."
"Why do we have to leave so early anyway?" "Well," Brock answered, "It's gonna take at least five or six hours to get there.
So if were EVER gonna get there, we need to leave now." Misty sighed.
"Tell ya one thing. . ." Ash exclaimed excidedly, "This is gonna be one hell of a trip." He took his duffle bag off his shoulder and sat it on the cement. "I know I could use the break."
"So could I." Brock chimed in.
Misty didn't speak.
'We've been waiting for this stupid train for at least twenty minutes.' Ash thought to himself.
He checked his watch.
' Five mnutes!?' Ash stared at his watch in disbelief.
He sighed loudly.
"There it is!" Brock proclaimed.
Ash watched eagerly as the train slowly came to a stop infront of them.
Ash picked up his bags and slung his bag back over his shoulder. With only his clothes and various other items, the bag was surprisingly heavy.
"Finally!" Misty muttered to herself. The heavy doors slid open, revealing a red-faced, over-weight engineer, with a rather large grin on his face.
"Hop in!'
Brock stepped in first, followed by Ash, and then , Misty, trailing behind.
Taking a look around, Ash was surprised to find all the seats completely vacant.
Not many people take trains this early.
"Thanks," said Brock, handing him the fare. The trio moved down the narrow walkway, to the very back of the train.

"This is gonna be a long ride." Stated Misty, brushing back her hair. She smoothed her plain blue t-shirt, which had became wrinkled.
"What time is it anyway?"
Brock glanced at his wrist watch. "Uh. . . About 8:45. We've been on this train for about thirty-five minutes so far."
"thirty five minutes?!" Misty complained, sighing, "It feels like an hour already!"
She rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"Guys, I have a bit of a headache. I'm gonna get some sleep. Mind keeping the noise down?"
Both Brock and Ash shook their heads.
"Thanks."
Misty grabbed her sleeping-bag and pulled it over herself.
She rested her head back against the seat, and eventually, she drifted off.
Ash, who sat beside her, began to continuessly stare. . .Stare at her amazing body- her beautiful, long, silky hair, like in a trance. She was as delicate as a flower, yet as strong as a stone.
Ash sometimes felt as though he were responsible for Misty. Especially after that funeral a month ago. She wanted to kill herself. . .He wouldn't let it happen. If anything would ever happen to Misty, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself. So he would protect her, come hell or high water.
She was absolutely gorgous. . .
And Ash loved her unconditionally.

"MISTY, ASH, WAKE UP! IT'S SNOWING!"
Ash's peaceful slumber was interuped by Brock's loud screams.
"LOOK! LOOK!"
Misty and Ash gazed out the window, and were amazed at what they saw.
A beautiful snowy landscape, like one on a postcard, was zooming by them, And they watched as the snow-filed trees swayed gently back and forth, and soft snowflakes fell gently to the ground.
"It's beautiful!" Misty exclaimed.
Ash agreed completely.
It was beautiful.
"Even more good news guys," Brock anounced, "It's one thirty. . .We shoud be arriving in about twenty minutes."

"Uh. . .Brock?"
Ash pointed his index finger at the window.
As Brock sat down his magazine, he gasped at what he saw through the glass.
What was once a winter wonderland, had now turned into the worst snowstorm either of them had ever seen.
The gently swaying trees now bent nearly in two, and the snowflakes has now turned to a white-out of snow and hail.
"God, it's a whiteout!" said Misty, a small tone of fear in her voice. "We were supposed to stop by the main lobby first thing we get there. What are we going to do with all this snow?" Brock cleared his throat.
"Uh. . . Dont worry guys, i'm sure it will calm down before we get there." Brock said calmly. But yet, Ash still had a feeling that things werent going to better.
