Hi. My name is Kayla. And as you know my pen name is Golden Pikachu. This is my first pokemon fanfic story, so don't go so hard on me. This story is about life, death, friendship, and, of course, pokemon battling. ^_^ I hope you enjoy my first story! "Ouch!" Cried Pichu. Pichu had fallen over a rock. Again.Pidgy rolled her eyes.

"Again Pichu, watch where your going! Honestly, can't you do anything right?" Asked Pidgy.

"Easy for you to say that. You fly! You don't have to worry about rocks on the ground!" Argued Pichu.

"OK, cut it out you guys,"said Pikachu. Pikachu and her friends (Squirtle, Charmander, Pidgy, Rattata, Eevee, Pichu, Chicorita, Cyndiquil, and Totodile!) were going on a walk after some hard battles the other day. All was silent after that. Wanting a conversation, Squirtle said,

"Wouldn't it be cool if we could see a Articuno?"

Chikorita shivered. "I don't think so." She could just feel an imaginary Articuno's icy breath on her back.

"Awww it wouldn't be that bad! It would be 'totally tubular'!" Said Charmander laughing.

"Like, 'gnarly' dude!" Said Squirtle, also laughing.

"OK, like, enough with the surfer dude talk," said Rattata.

Right then they came to a clearing. The wind whistled as a cold breeze came through. They heard a long "Screeeeeeeech!" from somewhere in the distance. A big flying figure was flying towards them, looking black in the light. It came closer.......and closer.....and....

And there it was. An Articuno. Bright blue light flooded the area. Everyone gasped. The Articuno shot an ice beam, which turned into what appeared to be a giant glass, made of crystal. Inside it was water with giant ice cubes floating at the top. Articuno's icy eyes laid on Pikachu. It swooped down, and using it's talons, and grabbed Pikachu.

"Pikaaa!" Cried Pikachu. Pikachu was about to use her thundershock attack when Articuno suddenly squeezed Pikachu so tight that she fainted.

"Oh no you don't!" Said Squirtle. Squirtle jumped up and grabbed on to Articuno just before Articuno got too high. Air rushing past him, gasping for breath, Squirtle crawled his way towards Pikachu. He barely hung on, air going down, trying to take him down with it. Charmander and Cindiquil shot a flamethrower, only to find that Articuno easily dodging their attacks.

"I'll try," said Chikorita. She shot out her vines, trying to reach Pikachu and Squirtle. Articuno shot an ice beam at Chikorita's attack, turning Chikorita to ice. While Charmander and Cyndiquil worked on melting the ice away on Chikorita, Pidgy flew up to get Pikachu and Squirtle, only to get knocked out by Articuno's wing attack. Now all they could do was watch.

Articuno dropped Pikachu and Squirtle on separate ice cubes. Squirtle shivered. The water was ice cold. (Not to mention he was on ice.)

"Pikachu! Pikachu! Wake up!" Shouted Squirtle. Pikachu slowly got up. She looked at her surroundings and gasped. She jumped on a different ice cube, trying to get to Squirtle, only to slip and fall on the slippery ice. Articuno screeched again.

The water and ice cubes started spinning, as if someone has put a giant straw in and was stirring it around. It was a whirlpool. Pikachu and Squirtle clung on to their giant ice cubes. (Which, as you know, was very hard to do.) Since the cubes were floating, and they would stay that way, Squirtle shouted, "Whatever you do, don't fall into the water Pikachu!" but Pikachu slipped right then and fell into the water. Bumping into ice cubes as she went deeper and deeper, Pikachu could see nothing and do nothing. The spinning stopped. Because she was deep enough, there was no ice cubes in sight for Pikachu. Pikachu started franticly swimming her way to the surface. Seeing Pikachu wasn't making much progress, Squirtle dived into the water after her.

But when Squirtle got to Pikachu, the spinning started again and they got separated. Lungs hungry for air, Pikachu's legs and arms were moving franticly. She no longer knew which was up or down. From outside the glass, Eevee shouted

"Why are you doing this?!" in tears. Articuno ignored Eevee. The spinning stopped. Now Pikachu and Squirtle were just floating there, eyes closed. Rattata whimpered. Pidgy knocked out, Chikorita frozen, Squirtle and Pikachu nearly dead, Pichu said

"I've had enough of just watching and not doing anything! I'm going to get Celibi!" and ran off. Celibi hosted the battling contest they were in at the stadium. (Which was only for wild Pokemon.) But when Pichu got to the stadium, she found Celibi nowhere in sight. Pichu pounded on a giant yellow glass ball in anger, and it started shattering. "Oops..." Pichu was blinded by bright yellow light. She heard a loud roar. She slowly looked up. There, was a Raiko. Pichu was speechless.

"You have awoken me from my deep slumber. Where is the evil?" Since you could consider this Articuno evil, Pichu pointed to the direction she came from, still speechless. Raiko roared again and then Suicune and Entei appeared. They ran off to where Pikachu was. Pichu fainted.

"Where are Pichu and Celibi? I hope they're OK," said Eevee. Just then the Three Legendary Beasts came. Their eyes laid on Pikachu and Squirtle.

"Why are you doing this?!" Asked Suicune.

"You should know why...." Replied Articuno. ("I asked that same question but noooooo..... Articuno didn't listen to me!" Said Eevee.) Suicune's eyes went wide.

"No way.... It can't be....." Said Suicune. Confused, Pikachu's friends below had no idea what was happening. "We will destroy you for this!" Shouted Suicune. One against three, Articuno was over powered and lost the battle. Suicune dived into the water and got Pikachu and Squirtle out.

"Thank you!" Said Charmander.
