Death’s Weakness- Friendship

Under The Moon, Where The Stone Awaits

By Golden Pikachu

Part 4

Hi everyone! Again, it’s been awhile since I last put up my stories, and I’m sorry about that. (Actually, and REALLY long time…) Well, with this being part four, we’re at the half waypoint aren’t we? (Yes, there will be eight parts to this story.) Heh… finally! But actually, since this part is long, it will have to be divided up into a part 4a and a part 4b…. ::sniff:: But oh well. Well, it ends up I decided to put up some of my artwork…. I never really knew I had a talent for drawing pokemon on the computer. I’ve always done it on paper. Yes indeed, those first two pictures I drew on the computer were the very first pokemon pictures I drew on the computer. Hopefully I will be able to put up my hand drawn pictures. (For I’m better at hand drawing pokemon than computer drawing pokemon.) OK, enough with the artwork talking. This is the Library Side! Lets get on with the story!

Chikorita slowly opened her eyes. Surrounding her was what appeared to be purple clouds. Or something. A figure emerged in front of her. At first she couldn’t tell what it was, but then she could make out a blurry image of a Pikachu…. with white feathery wings. Chikorita rubbed her eyes. The Pikachu was still there. Wait a sec…. That wasn’t just any Pikachu, that was the Pikachu that Chikorita once knew! The Pikachu that was….was dead. Whoa, OK. If Pikachu is dead, and she’s standing right in front of me…does that mean I’m dead too?!?! Chikorita thought. Images of jumping off the giant tree raced through Chikorita’s mind like Ponytas.

“Your welcome,” said Pikachu, as if Chikorita said ‘Thank you.’

“Your welcome? For what?” Asked Chikorita. Pikachu just grinned, than flew away off into the distance. “Wait! Pikachu! Come back!” Shouted Chikorita. But soon Chikorita’s world went black.

Actually, it wasn’t her world, and hopefully it wouldn’t become her world any time soon.

As Chikorita slowly opened her eyes, all her friends, crying, came into view. As Chikorita sat up she groaned. Every muscle her body ached. Everyone stared at Chikorita, wide eyed and speechless.

“Chikorita, your alive!!” Said Totodile, jumping on top of Chikorita.

Ouuuuuuuuuuuch!!!” Chikorita cried. “Totodile, get off me!”

“Oh, sorry,” said Totodile.

As Chikorita looked around, she suddenly remembered the Leaf Stone. “The Leaf Stone!” Chikorita cried. “What happened to it?!”

“Don’t worry, it’s right here,” said Squirtle.

“You cushioned its fall.” Charmander added. Chikorita rolled her eyes.

“I don’t think I plan on being a cushion again,” said Chikorita.

“Celibi, what’s the next stone we have to get, and where is it?” Squirtle asked.

“Your next stone is the Moon Stone, and it’s in Mt. Moon.” Celibi answered.

“Mt. Moon….” Whispered Squirtle.

“Cool!” Said Cydiquil. “Let’s go!” As so they went.

****************************

Pikachu’s friends looked up at the large opening into Mt. Moon, it’s top towering above them. Squirtle sat down.

“Uh….. Squirtle? You may want to get up, since we’re going in right now,” said Charmander. Squirtle shook his head.

“I can’t go in there,” Squirtle said. His friends stared at him.

“What’s the matter? Afraid of the dark?” Rattata teased. Everyone glared at Rattata.

“No. That’s not it. You see, before I met any of you, and I was on a little journey with Pikachu, which turned out to be a big journey, we went into Mt. Moon. It was nighttime, and there was a full moon with no clouds in sight. Inside, evil Clefairy and Clefable attacked us. We nearly got killed!” Squirtle looked up at the sky. It was nighttime. A full moon shined on them and no clouds were in sight.

“Don’t worry,” said Charmander. “We’re here to protect you.”

“I’m still not going in,” Squirtle said. Squirtle’s friends dragged him in.

Inside it was pitch black. They had to use Charmander’s flame on his tale for light. They heard a high-pitched chatter from somewhere. They stopped. There was Golbat! The Golbats picked up Pikachu’s friends and flew around the cave, going through what seemed like hundreds of tunnels. Finally, they reached a large room in the cave, with no ceiling. In the middle of the room was a small sparkling stone…. the moon stone. The Golbat dropped them on the floor and flew away.

“That was easy…. too easy..” Pichu said. As if they had heard Pichu, millions of Clefairy and Clefable walked into the room. They looked very angry.

“Ah…. So somebody disturbs us on a clear full moon…. again.” A Clefable said.

“…and isn’t it funny that one of them has already disturbed us before….three years ago. But actually, if I remember, we did defeat him, but not his little yellow friend.. ” A Clefairy said, looking at Squirtle.

“…but looks like his friend isn’t here…” The Clefable said.

“No, Pikachu isn’t here, but he’s still got all of us! And not to mention he’s gotten stronger these three years too!” Charmander said, stepping up.

“Well you know what? We’ve gotten stronger the past few three years too… and we have more Clefairy and Clefable too!” The Clefairy said.

“That doesn’t matter! Now give us the Moon Stone!” Said Chikorita.

“All of you just don’t get it do you? You went in here and disturbed us right when we were about to worship thee great Moon Stone, and yet you still insist on us giving you the Moon Stone. All of you shall have to be punished…” Clefable said.

All of the Clefairy and Clefable grinned and started using their Metronome attack. (Which for those who don’t play the pokemon gameboy games, randomly does any attack.)  Electricity, water, fire, rocks, and lots, lots, more were hurled at Pikachu’s friends, and twisted into one huge rainbow colored beam of light. Pikachu’s friends couldn’t do anything and got hit by the beam of light and got knocked out.

*******************

Pichu slowly opened her eyes. Gack! Below her was a giant winding river, quickly moving. Mountains surrounded her. A rope tied her hands/paws together. The rope was the only thing holding her up… over a cliff. She looked to her left. All of her friends were in the same status, except still knocked out. All of the Clefairy and Clefable must of done this!

“WAKE UP!!” Pichu shouted. Only Rattata and Eevee opened their eyes. They both gasped. “Are you guys OK?” Pichu asked.

“No, and neither are you or the others!” Rattata said.

“I wonder why they didn’t wake up when I shouted…” Pichu wondered. Above them they could hear footsteps. They looked up. All of the Clefairy and Clefable stood above them, glaring down at them.

“Well, what do you know. The little Pichu, Rattata, and Eevee woke up.” Clefairy laughed.

“What are you going to do to us? And why aren’t the others waking up?” Pichu cried.

“Well, you see, when we first met your friend Squirtle and his friend Pikachu, we were able to knock out Squirtle but not Pikachu. While Pikachu was busy dodging our attacks one of us and got some blood supply from Squirtle.. using this blood, we figured out how to make something that would put a water pokemon into a deep sleep. Using this we also figured out how to do the same for grass, fire, flying, and other types. But we never figured out how make something for Normal or Electric types. That’s why only you three woke up. But that doesn’t matter, because you’re going to die even if you aren’t asleep when we do it.” Clefable answered. “So, Pichu, what do you think about being the first to fall?” Pichu looked down. It was at least a 100 foot drop.

“I’ll take that as a yes.” A Clefable snipped of part of the rope holding up Pichu, and Pichu began falling, with her hands/paws still tied together. Air rushed passed her, whistling as it went by, almost as if it were saying “Ha ha!!”

“Noooo!” Shouted Pichu. Pichu felt as if her stomach had left her body. She looked down. The river was coming up. (Actually, it was coming down.) They think that all because I’m an electric pokemon that I can’t swim very well… well, I can! Kinda… My hands might be tied together but I still have my feet! Pichu thought. As Pichu landed in the river with a splash, the current carried her down the river. She kicked with her feet, trying to reach the surface. Suddenly, something stopped her. She looked behind. The piece of rope that was holding her hands/paws together got caught on a rock!  She tried swimming over to the rock and taking off the rope on the rock with her mouth, but the current was too strong. She couldn’t hold her breath for much longer! She was starting to get dizzy…

Meanwhile, Rattata, Eevee, and the others were still hanging. “Hmm…. I think Squirtle will go next… and he wont be able to save himself because he’s asleep! Heh heh… I hope your having sweet dreams Squirtle, because they’re not going to last for long!” Clefable said. Actually, Squirtle was having a very strange dream. He was dreaming that he was seeing the whole thing happen, and that he knew he was dreaming, but just couldn’t wake himself up. The Clefairy snipped the rope holding Squirtle up, and he watched himself fall. If only he could wake himself up!

Right when Pichu was about to lose hope and close her eyes, she saw Squirtle, asleep, drifting by. She grabbed Squirtle with her feet. It’s the only way! Pichu did a thundershock attack, which woke up Squirtle. Pichu got dizzier, and saw her world go black. Squirtle tried grabbing Pichu with his feet before he got to far away, but it was to late. He saw Pichu get farther and farther away, still stuck on that rock…. But wait! The current got stronger and pushed the rope holding Pichu’s hands/paws together! Pichu wasn’t stuck any more! But Pichu zoomed by Squirtle, for she was on a faster part of the current. Squirtle watched her go by. In a fork in the river, Squirtle went left while Pichu went right.

After Totodile and Chikorita fell, it was Eevee’s turn to fall. Since Eevee’s hands/paws weren’t big enough, the rope was tied around her tail.

“Listen here all of you Clefairy and Clefable! We will get that moon stone, whatever it takes!” Shouted Eevee. All of the Clefairy and Clefable snickered. “Rattata!” Eevee whispered so only Rattata could hear. “You work on waking up the others! I’ll be fine!” Before she could say anything more, the rope holding her up was cut, and she fell down to the waters below.

Rattata turned to Cyndiquil, Charmander, and Pidgy. He bit Cyndiquil.

Ouch!!” Shouted Cyndiquil. “Why did you do that??” Cyndiquil looked at his surroundings. He gasped.

“Cyndiquil, can you wake up Charmander and Pidgy?” Asked Rattata. Cyndiquil nodded. Cyndiquil started swinging left and right. “Umph!” Rattata said as Cydquil swung to the left, right into him. He went to the right then, into Charmander. “Not this way!” Shouted Rattata. But it still worked. Charmander woke up and looked down.

“Oh… I’m gonna die! I’m gonna die! If a Charmander’s flame goes out on their tail, they die!” Charmander cried.

“Oh be quiet!” Rattata said. “I’m trying to think of a way to wake up Pidgy!” But it was too late. All the Clefairy and Clefable came over.

“Well, Rattata. Looks like your next,” said Clefable. They cut the rope holding Rattata up, and Rattata started falling to the waters below. Charmander looked franticly at Cyndiquil.

“What are we going to do?!” Charamnder said. The Clefairy and Clefable heard Charmander talking and cut the rope holding Cyndiquil up. They looked at Charmander.

“Well, hope you enjoyed your life while it lasted, because this is where it ends!” Clefable said. Clefable cut the rope holding Charmander up. Just when he started falling, he scratched Pidgy. Pidgy awoke. “Lets get this over with and make the Pidgy fall too!” Clefairy said, as she cut the rope holding Pidgy up. They didn’t know the Pidgy was awake. As Pidgy fell, she spread out her wings and soared through the air, towards Charmander, who was still falling to the waters below. She held Charmander in her talons, and flew down the river. From up above, She could see everyone on land near the river that went to the left in the fork. Well, almost everyone. She gracefully landed near everyone with Charmander.

“Good, everyone’s here.” Eevee said.

“But,” said Pidgy.

Where’s Pichu?
