Note: Okay people, this is part 2!!!!I know you're all jumping with excitement, right? Anyway, for the few who have actually read part 1, hope you enjoy this! Disclaimer: Amazingly, I do not own Pokemon. Oh, and strangely enough, Gamefreak, Nintendo, 4kids, and all the rest of you do. This is just fan fiction! I mean, you think they would actually make a show out of this? Come on! Part 2: The First Day I sat on my bed that night, thoughtful. I had made 7 new friends that day, and they had shown their concern for me better than anyone I had ever known. they had also made a fool of me. *Maybe they ARE more trouble than their worth!*, I thought. Staring at the top of my bunk bed, I recalled the day's events. *They really came through for me today. As true friends, they stood up for me. Not many friends I've had have done that.* My first day with my new companions was not uneventful, to say the least. That morning, I got ready for school like I usually did. The only different part was that instead of just my mom and brother whining at me for taking too much time in the bathroom, I had my mom, brother, Ash, Misty, Brock, James, and Meowth. Jesse took about as much time as all of them put together. And the worst part was that I had to fit all of them into the bathroom at once, and let them use it in the same time I took to brush my teeth and wash my face. If you've never had to do this, let me tell you it is hell. I walked out the door at 8:15, with my newfound friends in tow. Ash and Misty were too fascinated by their interesting surroundings to fight with each other. Thank God for small miracles! As I walked on school grounds, I looked around for someone who could SEE them, or anyone who was solid to them. But, to no avail! They walked right through the crossing guard. My best friend, Laura, sat on top of James. "So Is, what's up?" I had given up telling anyone about them after the incident with my mother. No one would believe me, anyway. "Nothing much. So, did you get that new game yet?" "Oh, you mean Dragon Monsters 3? Nope, they were all out at GAMEPLEX." "What? GAMEPLEX was out? How many people want this God damn thing?!" "Oh, they all want it. It's like, THE most popular game out. I can't wait till its back in stock!" We continued like this for some time. My other friends walked up and said hi; we chatted and gossiped about interclass relationships and crud like that. Same old, same old. RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNG! "Oh, there's the bell! See you in line, Izzy!" "Bye Is!" All my friends ran to get in line. They were used to running ahead of me, I usually took a while to get all my stuff together. I took even longer today. "All right. You guys just follow me. You can sit in the classroom; I don't care where. Just remember, STAY WITH ME. Now, As-" I gave out brisk direct commands. I was about to tell Ash where he was going to sit when... They all ran off. *Ohhhhh crap.* I anxiously glanced around. The middle school students were all lined up. Several were staring at me. I then realized I had been standing there, looking frantically around for invisible-to-everyone-else people. I hurried into line, still glancing around for them. "8th grade, straiten up that line! 6th, stop talking! My 7th grade, I think your 'line' looks like an S. S stands for 7th, how appropriate." Ms. Alcett shouted out comments about the quality of our lines and behavior to us. While everyone else tried to straiten up our "S", I looked frantically to see where they'd gone. "Isabelle! What ARE you doing?" I looked up, prepared to face my three teachers, angry with me for ignoring them. And when I looked up, I did see them. Just as I'd expected. Angry, yelling, generally unpleasant. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut..................... There were anime characters up there as well. Jesse and James were posing, standing on both heavy brick hand railings. They kept flashing peace signs at yawning crowd. "Hey! Team Rocket members are not to be treated like that! I can't believe you little brats!" Jesse said, indignantly. "Isabelle, you have got some culturally poor classmates, here!" James yelled at me. Jesse and James seem to have forgotten that they were invisible to everyone but me. I almost yelled it at them, but a second before I did I realized how stupid that would be. I would look insane, yelling at thin air. So instead, I just shook my head, resignedly. Mean while, Meowth was eyeing the shiny, round medal that Ms. McCarthy was wearing, eagerly. He kept trying to swipe at it, but somehow, every time he tried she would turn her head and move the medal. Misty was incredibly interested in a weird clapping game some girls at the beginning of the 6th grade line were playing. It involved chanting of some stupid cheer in time with the girls clapping. Personally, I've never liked those games, but she seemed really enthusiastic about it. Brock was, of course, staring at the 8th grade girls. He kept drooling, blushing, and stuttering. He seemed very taken with Elaine Vargas, an exceptionally pretty and haughty girl who was the leader of some stupid clique. "H-he-he-Hey, there. What's yo-yo-your na-name?" Pretty pathetic, huh? He even hits on girls who he can't see. *Don't they remember they're invisible? They're acting like idiots!* Ash and Pikachu, the last of the 7, were watching my friend Laura try and trade her rare Japanese and American Pokemon cards. It seemed no one really wanted them. Ash probably thought the cards were really cool: I hadn't fully explained the card game to him. "Isabelle, are you paying attention?" I diverted my attention back to Ms. Alcett, who was livid with anger at my ignorance of her. "Ms. Eire! Will you EVER pay attention!? What is the matter? Do you have some problem with paying attention to your teachers!?!" Ms. Alcett's harsh words stung my pride. I have always been someone easy to hurt, and that day was no exception. Large, salty tears formed in my eyes I stared at the ground. "Honestly, You should be made as an example as to how students SHOULDN'T act. Your behavior is unacceptable! Look at the example you're setting for the younger students!" My friends, Laura, Eliza, Karen, and the whole rest of the class, all gave me sympathetic smiles as I was berated. But none compared to the smiles of Ash, Misty, Brock, James, Jesse, Pikachu and Meowth. When they heard the teacher's yell they looked up from their tasks and watched the display. In unison they walked up the steps to confront her. They were not smiling at HER. "What's the big idea?" "Why are you so mean?" "Leave Isabelle alone!" "That's really low for a teacher to sink, yelling at a student of theirs like that!" They were all yelling, angrily, at Ms. Alcett, demanding that she stop her rude behavior. Obviously, Ms. Alcett simply continued yelling. It seemed to me that they weren't used to being invisible. Ms. Alcett stopped yelling (After a while) and led the students in her class up the stairs. Ms. McCarthy did likewise, and Mr. Gant led us up them. Though I was still shaken up, but I remembered what Ash and his companions had done for me. They had stuck up for me. I stayed outside to put up the flag, and Misty walked up to me with an angry expression on her face. "Isabelle! How could you let a teacher speak to you like that? You were doing nothing!" "I just...when a teacher speaks to me like that, I...freak out. I can't handle it. I just sit there. It's the only time I can't say anything for myself." "Well why not?" "I've never been able to say what I want to a teacher. I'm too afraid I'll get in trouble. I don't want to get suspended." "Listen, the rest of the guys are inside. And they support you 100%, too! You should've seen Ash, he was so mad; I haven't seen him this upset since he lost that last Pokemon match to Richie." I giggled slightly. "Oh, yeah, I remember that! Charizard wouldn't obey, so he lost to Richie. And then he was moping for days. But you got in there and straitened him out!" "You saw that?!" "Yeah, it's one of my favorite episodes!" With that we walked back in the building, hand in hand. *Like true friends...* ********************************************** The rest of that day went pretty normal, except for the time I burst out laughing when Jesse started mocking the teacher's drawling speech in Pre-Algebra class, or the time Brock, completely taken with Laura, walked over to her and sat right on top of her desk. My strange gesturing caused more kids to stare. I was sure people thought me completely insane! *Oh, great. Every one thinks I'm a nutcase. Perfect. I'm a freak that talks to thin air.* As we walked home from school, I chatted with them, like old friends. Misty and I were slightly closer then the others, I had always thought that she and I were similar, and when I talked to her it showed. Though they were all friendly, I despaired of Ash and Jesse EVER getting along. Ash's fights with her were even worse than his with Misty! After Brock shut them up, we discussed ways of getting them back home and worked to brainstorm ideas. Okay, Ash's ONLY idea was to jump into the TV. He totally got the mallet treatment for that. We walked in the house, still chatting cordially. No one was home, as usual, my parents' had always come home at about 7, my brother, the same time. Mom was home early about once every 2 weeks, though. Thankfully, this was not one of those days. After all of them grabbed cookies from the kitchen, I motioned for them to come sit in the TV room with me. "Why?" "Cause, I have to watch Sailor Moon and Poke-" Yet again, intense stares. "-Mon." Okay, it must have seemed strange to them. I watched pokemon every day back then, and to see THEMSELVES so often on a TV screen-well, I think they were weirded out. "Listen, Team Rocket haven't gotten to see themselves yet, let them. I mean, they probably want to see how stupid they look, right?" 3 Murderous glares. "Hey, I was just kidding!" **************************** That afternoon, we watched my bizarre cartoons [That _includes_ Pokemon *Hee hee hee* ^_^], much to the dismay of the older members of the party, namely, Jesse and Brock. Granted, they WERE interested in seeing their cartoon, they showed little interest in Sailor Moon (Except Brock's stuttering when the Sailor Scouts came out in their skimpy costumes (Oh, look at Sailor Mars!)) I was forced to sneak food into my room for their dinner, and though there was little to go around, I think the meal, shared by my friends, showed they COULD live in harmony. Yeah. That's what it showed. "Give that back, you stupid twerp! That's MY CHICKEN!!" "No way! I saw it first!" Sorta. *It's gonna take a LOT of work for them to get along...* ************************************ So, what'd you all think of PART 2? I know, a lot shorter, but hey, I didn't want to keep anyone waiting TOO long. I case you're wondering, this has taken a long time because I've been working on another fic, which will be posted pretty soon. Anyway, send feedback to Ieyre@aol.com. ~ Oh, and all your flames. ^_^ ~
