The Outcast Part 5 General Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon. I'm sure you all know that by now. Part 5...ACTION "I still can't believe he didn't do the switch terrain thing on me," Mike mumbled to himself, for the hundredth time. Isaac was getting annoyed. "Maybe...it's...because...your...Raticate...CAN'T...SWIM!!" Isaac said, a little fed up. The three had resumed walking in Ilex Forest. Nancy had left her car in the Pokemon Center, where Nurse Joy was to take care of it. "Maybe, but still. How would he know your Seviper could swim? Huh? How about that?" "Shut up man, just shut up." Isaac was really fed up with Mike's whining. "Hey look over there! It's a Pineco!" Nancy said to try and loosen things up. This caught Isaac's attention. "Whoa, those things look neat! I wanna catch one!" "But ISAAAAAC!!" Mike said in his singsong voice. "Weren't we going to be picky in our Pokemon that we select? I thought you wanted a STRONG Pokemon, you know...ones with strong stats?" "Look at your Raticate," Isaac said. "I'm catching this Pineco if it's the last thing I do. Go! Fang!" "SSSeviper!" "Fang! Use wrap attack, now!" This was the usual show-opener with Seviper nowadays, a wrap attack followed by a lick or a bite ((whichever one Fang felt like doing)) and then finishing it off with a Poison Tail. "You know the rest, come on!" Isaac said. Fang did the usual format. But, just as Fang was about to inject some poison with his bite attack, Pineco exploded. BOOM "WAAUGH! FANG!! NOOOOOO!!" However, Fang was wrapped around Pineco, so there was no escaping it. Seviper still looked as if it could leave a mark or two before biting the dust. Isaac had trained Fang to do last stands. However, self-destruct made Pineco faint, so Fang didn't have anything to pull his last-stand stunt. "Pokeball! Go!" The red and white ball opened, and the Pineco fell in. The ball wiggled around for a couple seconds, and then the Pineco stopped struggling. "YES!! I caught a PINECO!!!" Isaac said, doing his victory dance. "I caught it! Yes I did! And NOBODY helped me! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!" BOOM BOOM BOOM Three consecutives explosions hit around the trainers. "WHOA! WHAT ON EARTH?!?" "Sir! We found Nancy, hiding amongst two other trainers!" "Team Rocket!!" Nancy said, boiling with anger. "What do you guys want? You already destroyed my HQ!" "We want the info you obviously have, regarding your backup bases and other members of course." Three Rockets appeared out of the smoke; the same three that attacked Cherrygrove City. "Not without a fight you won't! Tauros! Charmeleon! Graveller!" "Raticate, Blade, GO!" "Fang! GO!" Isaac planned to let Pineco rest for a bit, and use him for backup in case they needed it. "Heh. Go! Pidgeot! Fearow! Raticate! Beedrill! Weezing! Electabuzz! Poliwrath! Machamp! Charizard! Victreebell!" "Oh shoot, we're outnumbered." Mike commented. "No duh. Fang! Wrap around as many as you can get!" Fang tried its best, but managed to only get Pidgeot and Fearow. "Blade! Swift into the group of Rocket Pokemon! Raticate! Hyper Fang the other Raticate!" "Tauros! Take Down everything you can get your hands on! Charmeleon! Flamethrower! Graveller! Tackle!" Nancy shouted. It seemed Isaac and his friends had the advantage, but only for a few seconds. The Rocket's Pokemon started fighting back and before they knew it, three more Rockets appeared, releasing their Pokemon all at the same time. "We're the reinforcements Giovanni sent! Go! Primeape! Wigglytuff! Scyther! Magmar! Jolteon! Dugtrio! Sudowoodo!" "OOOO ****. We're all gonna die," Mike said. "Come on guys! Spread out and look alive! Use attacks that damage on a large scale!" "What Mike said!" Isaac and Nancy said in unison. It happened too fast for anyone to catch on. Soon, all of the Pokemon that were with Nancy, Mike and Isaac were fainted. Seviper clamped his fangs into the Wigglytuff before going down. Wigglytuff fainted at the great amount of poison, the only Rocket casualty. "EVERYONE! RETURN!" they all said in unison. "RUN!" They turned heel and ran. The six Rockets recalled their Pokemon and pursued them. "Oh crud, they're gonna catch up to us. Nancy, do you think your Graveller can explode? Pineco will too...that should keep them." Isaac said. "It's the only choice we got! Graveller! Explosion!" "Pineco! Self-destruct!" Two loud explosions could be heard for miles in any direction. The six Rockets collapsed to the ground, knocked out at the sudden blast of wind, debris and energy. "OOG...Mommy, I think I'll just stay home today, and make cookies with you" One of the Rockets said. They were all in a daze. "Hmm...this is the middle of the forest, and these guys seem to be knocked out. I say we have a little fun, and find where the main HQ of Team Rocket," Nancy said, with an evil smile in her eyes. "How will we do that?" Isaac asked. "Oh, just watch and learn. First, we'll dress up as one of these Rockets, pretending to have a cold. Each Rocket is issued a videophone so reaching HQ won't be hard, it should be on their memory list. We'll talk to Giovanni, but we'll attach a tracking device I happen to have in my pocket, and find where we're calling. Then, we go there. Once we find the Rocket HQ, there's no real rush...so you can finish your journey and then go destroy the HQ. The last blow to their lines in the Cherrygrove/surrounding area raid will keep them irrelevant for at least five years. Plenty of time for you to gain a title, wouldn't you agree?" Nancy looked over at Isaac and Mike. "Well, that was a lot to absorb. May we have a post speech analysis along with that 900 word essay?" Isaac said sarcastically. Everyone started to laugh. "Oh well, I guess it's time to mess around with Team Rocket." **** The rain was pounding the windows at Rocket HQ. Giovanni sat on his desk, waiting for his raiders to report on Nancy. The last message he got was when they said they found their target somewhere within Ilex Forest. The line went out afterwards, and he hadn't gotten a call back for nearly two hours. 'Where are those bumbling fools? If they didn't catch Nancy, they better expect a cut in pay!' Giovanni thought to himself. His hands clasped together, and his knuckles turned white from the anxiety. Persian lay sleeping on his feet. His office was much like Nancy's, except larger and with a spot for his Persian to play in. Finally, his videophone rang. His whole wall acted as a screen for the video part of the phone. "Giovanni speaking, how may I help you?" The screen blinked open. He only saw two of the Rockets. Something was wrong, he sent out six Rockets after them. "Sir," one of them spoke up. His voice was off. Too husky, too high pitched; Giovanni felt there was something was definitely wrong about this. However, they took away most of his suspicion when another said something. "Excuse our voices sir. The trainers Nancy was with used stun spore on us. We escaped from the paralysis, but some of the allergens entered our sinuses. Also, four of our men have been...well put it this way. They are official Rocket casualties." Giovanni's face hardened even more at that last comment. He knew something was wrong with this whole conversation, but he couldn't put his finger on it. "Is something wrong, sir?" Mike, in disguise, inquired. "No, nothing at all. Go on. Did you catch Nancy?" "Yes, she's right here." The two had fake tied Nancy up. The scheme was going on as planned. Nancy was a pretty good actor. She looked scared yet angered at the same time. Then, just like they had planned, Graveller popped out of its pokeball. It was just out of the range of the screen. "Good. Excellent. Expect a raise in pay, both of you." "Thank you. Oh...I forgot to mention. It may have not been clear when I said casualties. They are suffering from minor concussions. Excuse the inconvenience...WHOA!!" "GRAV!!" Graveller gave the most fake roar on earth. Giovanni didn't know enough about Graveller to know about the sound of their roar, but he felt something just wasn't right. However, all doubts ended when it exploded, right in front of Giovanni's eyes. What he didn't know was that Graveller gave a very weak explosion, but it was right in front of the phone, giving an illusion of a great blast. Isaac turned off the videophone right after the explosion. Graveller didn't even faint. "Perfect, I have the exact location. I'll just need a videophone which I have right here. You two run off into the forest and train your new Pokemon. I'll need to send these to my associates up in Goldenrod. Then they'll gather trainers from around Johto and Kanto. When we have enough, we'll dispose of Team Rocket HQ. But anyways, go on and train in the woods. I can't let you see whom I'm talking to, they're risking their lives working for me. Ok? Now run along guys." "K." Several hours later... "Nancy! Guess what? My Fang grew a lot; it knows a whole bunch of attacks! Pineco got much stronger too, and I won lots of trainer battles! I have 300 dollars now!" Isaac said, as he was stumbling out of the bushes. From Nancy's other side, Mike came through, happy as well. "I met a bunch of amateur trainers, and beat them all. They were rich and staked high, and my Raticate and Blade got a whole bunch of experience too! I have 500 dollars now!" "Whoa, you guys are making some serious cash here. I didn't realize there were so many trainers in this part of the woods." Nancy thought out loud. "So...where to next?" Isaac asked. "Hm...since this forest covers Azalea on three sides, we'll go and head west to the next gym." "OK!" Several days later... "Go! Fang!" Isaac's situation was grim. Mike went first again, and barely won. Bugsy, the gym leader in Azalea town, took out Pineco without even trying with his Beedrill. Pineco barely had enough strength to use Self-Destruct, which tied the match. Bugsy had sent out Scyther, which looked pumped and ready to go. "Whoa, what is that thing? An overgrown Arbok?" Bugsy asked. "Ehh...it's a Seviper. Don't be sorry that you thought it was an Arbok; I get that a lot. It's from the Houenn region." "Interesting. But it still won't beat my Scyther. This is my starter. Absolutely amazing stats." "Whatever. Fang! Poison Tail!" Bugsy looked surprised. Since he was in Johto his whole life, he's never heard of such an attack. "Poison Tail? What on earth is that? Whoa! Scyther! Look out!" But it was too late. Seviper hit Scyther's left arm, injecting deadly doses of poison. Soon, the arm swelled and Scyther looked like a pile of crap. It was badly poisoned. "I suggest you return Scyther and bring him to a Pokemon Center, the poison Seviper uses reverses the blood circulation. It'll soon kill Scyther, I told Fang never to hold back on gym battles. Scyther might lose that arm if you don't act fast enough." Isaac gave the grim details of what Sevipers could do. "Well, it's hard to believe that. However, it had been done before. I don't want to take a chance. Scyther! Return! Here's the dang Hive Badge." Bugsy threw a badge, resembling a bunch of honeycombs. Though it looked like something Isaac would have for breakfast, he was happy nonetheless. "All RIGHT! A HIVE BADGE!! SWEEEEEET" Isaac did his victory dance. **** The next three weeks were like a dream come true for Isaac and Mike. Their Pokemon were doing extremely well. Isaac even caught a Fearow and Mike a Parasect while in the Ilex Forest. They plowed through the trainers that were in there, and drove right through Whitney's normal Pokemon, utterly crushing her Miltank. "Wow, that gym was really easy. Fearow did good," Isaac remarked while they were walking through a trail towards Ecruteak city. Isaac had finally gotten the hang of the heavy pack, and Mike as well. "Ok guys, this next gym will be extra tough. I'm sure you've heard of ghost Pokemon?" Nancy looked at Isaac and Mike. They both nodded in reply. "Well, Morty will be using ghosts. Those are hard to hit, especially that Gengar. Your normal types just won't cut the cheese in this one." "Hm...well Fang should do the trick. Same with Pineco, I'm sure it knows a few attacks here and there that'll help me out." "And Parasect can use Stun Spore on him, freezing Gengar up for the kill." BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Everyone's head snapped at the sudden noise. It was coming from Nancy pocket. She took out a pager, and read the screen. Her eyes dilated in shock, and she muttered curses to herself. "Crap, this is a code 66. That means Team Rocket is an immediate threat. I need to bring as many trainers as I can within half an hour, and bring them to Goldenrod by tomorrow. Oh crap. Crap. That's not good." Nancy then cursed to herself again. "Why is Team Rocket a sudden threat? I don't get it! Do you?" "Whoa! Slow down Nancy! Now what's going on with Team Rocket?" Isaac asked. "Well I don't know for sure, I don't have that info yet. However, all I know is that they pose as a threat right now. I think maybe they switched their Headquarters and are planning another strike somewhere soon. But like I said, I can't be sure. However, all I know is that all the gym leaders will come, and every Anti-Crime member and League Official need to bring trainers, fast." Nancy gave a more detailed answer this time. "Oh. Well, you got two trainers on the ready," Mike said. He gave a goofy salute, which seemed to loosen things up, but only a second. "Look, I appreciate it and all, but I just can't risk it. If you guys croak on me, I'll never forgive myself. I suggest you sit this one out." Nancy said. "No way. If YOU croaked on us, and we're here waiting for Morty to return, we'll NEVER forgive ourselves. We're coming. That's that." Isaac gave a stern response. It seemed to convince Nancy. "Ok. But you need to remember this is real. The Rockets will literally chop you up like onions and carve you like wood. They'll have your head for breakfast if you fail." Nancy reminded them. "Don't worry. Now, let's round up some trainers." **** Even under the sudden threat and the call to duty, Nancy seemed to be calm and collected. ((That is, after that moment of cursing and spazzing)) It seemed like the trainers were all rounded up or something; the three combed the city, and there was not a single trainer present. Team Rocket would be crushed if all the towns were emptied like this. At the end of the day, Nancy, Isaac and Mike went to the airport empty-handed. The last jet heading for Goldenrod was just about to take off, and the three made it just on time. The next day, at Goldenrod, the streets were choked with trainers from all over the place. Some trainers came all the way from Vermillion City. Nancy led Isaac and Mike to the Radio Tower, signing in informing the League that she had arrived safely. At the desk, there was a very good-looking girl. She had blonde hair, perfect lips and dreamy blue eyes. She also had curves in the right places, brought out by her outfit, which were a tank top and a miniskirt. "Ooooh momma, I'm loving this. Wow, what a nice looking secretary." Isaac commented. He got a brilliant idea, involving Mike's thick head. Isaac elbowed Mike lightly, getting his attention. "Hey Mike, whistle at her. She'll love it." Mike whistled so loud, all the people lounging about in the lobby faced up. He blushed, and the secretary did too. But the secretary wasn't embarrassed in fact she was MAD. "Why you dirty scoundrel! I'll have your head!" She proceeded to throw a paperweight at him, but stopped herself. "Well Veronica, if you wear clothing like that guys will obviously notice you." Nancy sneered. The boys were startled at her rudeness towards her. "You whore," Nancy muttered. Veronica, the hot and sexy secretary, heard her. "Are those your trainers? That's it? Hmm...if you weren't so busy widening your legs for all the bikers out there for such a great price...Actually I'm surprised you got that many so quick. Who are they, Rent-A-Trainers?" Veronica countered. "What kind of secretary is this?" Mike asked a bouncer that was passing by. "It's the best we got." He shrugged. Then he walked outside. "Who are you calling Rent-A-Trainer? Hmm? You wanna mess with me? Huh? Dang...you ARE a slut!" Isaac said. Mike was startled at Isaac's total outburst, since he didn't get the Rent-A-Trainer thing yet. "I can sue you for that last comment!" Veronica yelled. The whole crowd stared at her again. "You know, I'd send out my Pokemon to attack you, but I'm too afraid you'll try to screw them. Come on guys, let's go. We have better things to do than to hang around this annoying ((yet sexy)) loser." Isaac said. He beckoned them outside. Veronica was fuming at the last comment, but the three were gone before she could think of another comeback. For the next few hours, Isaac and Mike took the opportunity to train and show off their Pokemon. "Now this folks, this is a Seviper. I call him Fang since it'd obviously fit. Just look at those fangs! They're HUGE! Now this is a poison type, it learns attacks we'll never see our Johto Pokemon use." Isaac said to an on looking crowd. They Oo-ed and Aah-ed, and Isaac was soaking it all up. "Hey Isaac! Mike!" Nancy said, interrupting Isaac's showcase. "I found the problem." The crowd dispersed, and Isaac looked disappointed. But, he still wanted to know what was going on. "Team Rocket's got one killer of a plan. They're gonna bury the earth in magma!" Nancy said. "Before that, they'll strike every major city they can find on the map. They've switched headquarters, Giovanni was onto us after all, and we've got to stop them before they can do any damage." A loud intercom interrupted Nancy before she could say anything. "Attention, all trainers, League Officials, Anti-Crime members and Gym Leaders please report to the south entrance of Goldenrod city." "Show time." To Be Continued... I was gonna write more, but it was getting to be too long. Reviews go to gotrice6321@hotmail.com. See ya guys.
