Tell your friends, tell your family(any family member that's interested in Pokémon), and tell complete strangers! Well, maybe not that last one. ^_^; Anyways, thanks for reading, and any comments would be greatly appreciated! On with the story! It was the next day, and I woke up bright and early. On a day like this, Gigaton City had never looked so beautiful. I got dressed, went downstairs, ate breakfast, and wished my mother a good day. When I arrived at Dr. Gray's class, the students were already bustling with activity. Nathan walked up to me. "Hey Jeff!" "Nathan! You ready to go on our journey?" "You know it! When is Dr. Gray going to get here?" "I dunno, but let's hope it's soon!" I met up with the rest of the group, and even Olon was nice to me. When Dr. Gray walked in, the class fell silent. "Good morning. Now, today will be short because all we have left to do is dispense the Pokédexes and Pokémon. Remember, your Pokédex is proof that you have completed the Pokémon Training course, so keep it with you at all times." With that, he told the class to line up in alphabetical order. Nathan, Nick, and Ryan were way ahead of me, so they'd get first pick. I wondered if they'd get the Pokémon they wanted. Judging from the looks on their faces, they did. I received my Pokédex and was instructed to insert it into a slot on the PC. Upon doing so, I was greeted with a list of available Pokémon to choose as my starter. Many names on the list piqued my interest: Mankey, Caterpie, Meowth. But the Pokémon that caught my eye was #83, Farfetch'd. I pressed the "Accept" button and a glow appeared in the transportation chamber next to me. The glow formed into a PokéBall. I reached in and pulled out the shiny new PokéBall. I grinned and headed out to the blacktop area. I ran up to my friends, holding the PokéBall. "Well, what did you guys get?" I asked them. "I'll go first!" Ryan grinned. He opened a PokéBall and a Psyduck emerged. "Psy-yi-yi!" it said, holding its head. We all laughed. "Nice one, Ryan! Check out mine!" Nick said, and from his PokéBall a Hitmonlee appeared. It kicked the air a few times, showing off. "Ooh, neat!" "Show us yours, Nathan." "Sure." Opening his PokéBall, a Squirtle formed. "Squirtle!" it said. "C'mon Jeff, don't be shy." "Okay!" I anxiously opened my PokéBall and I was met with a loud cry. "Farfetch!" it yelled out, twirling its leek like it was a baton. "Well, I'm sure MY Pokémon could beat your lazy Farfetch'd any day of the week!" Olon! "If you think you're so good, then why don't we try a battle?" I challenged. "Fine then!" he yelled, and threw his PokéBall to the ground. He'd gotten a Sandshrew. "Go, Farfetch'd!" Farfetch'd stepped forward. The battle was about to commence..... To Be Continued...
