Rival Trainers Battle Clash! Chapter 3 by Jam SBKidJamX@aol.com Wow, you're still reading? That's a pretty good sign! I hope you're liking the story so far. *Cheezy Announcer Voice* In the last chapter, Jeff challenged Olon(or was it the other way around?) to their first Pokémon battle! Who will win? Well, just click the mouse on the down arrow a few times and find out! Oh, and make sure to send me any feedback you might have! "Farfetch'd, go!" "Sandshrew, go!" Throwing our Pokémon into battle, Olon and I faced off in our very first battle. Well, the first one not on the simulator, anyway. "Sandshrew, Tackle!" Olon yelled. Sandshrew charged at Farfetch'd, but he simply dodged the attack. "Farfetch'd, Wing Attack!" I commanded. Farfetch'd smacked Sandshrew with his wing, sending him flying. "Now, finish it off!" I said, but before I could give my attack, Ryan ran up to me. "Guys! You know you can't battle on school grounds!" he explained. "Yeah..." I muttered. I recalled Farfetch'd. "Well, that's fine. When I get on the trail, I'm going to beat you, Jeff!" Olon boasted, recalling Sandshrew. "We'll see about that!" I yelled. He just laughed and walked off. "Let him go, Jeff. We've got to get to the diploma ceremony." Ryan tugged on my arm. "Yeah, okay." I said. Arriving at the ceremony, we took our seats. I looked around the crowd and spotted many of my friends parents. I also found my mom and sister. I waved to them. Mom waved back, but my sister yelled out to Ryan. "Hi, Ryan!" she called. Ryan sunk in his seat. "What's with your sister liking me so much?" he inquired. "I guess she goes for the unusual type." I replied, with an obvious smirk. Ryan punched me in the arm. The crowd hushed when Dr. Gray stepped onto stage. He went into a long and dragged-out speech about how hard we worked over the year and how much we'd learned and accomplished. Ryan yawned and I had to smack him in the face to keep him awake. When he finished with that, he proceeded to call out the names for the diplomas. Ryan went up way before me, as did Nick and Nathan. When he called my name, a loud cheer rose up from my classmates. I grinned and raised my fist into the air. I then took my seat next to Ryan. "Show-off." he muttered. I just grinned at him. After the whole thing was over, the entire class was asked to take a bow. We all did, and then everyone dispursed, heading over to family and friends. My mom walked over to me. "Jeff, I'm so proud of you. You've come a long way to achieve this, and you worked so hard." she said, tearfully, and gave me a big hug. It was broken by the sound of Ryan screaming. We looked over, and saw my sister hanging off Ryan's leg. Ryan was trying to shake her off. "Get it off, get it off!" he yelled. Mom and I laughed. Then, Nathan headed over to us. "Jeff, hey! Ready to get going?" he asked. "I can't wait!" I exclaimed. We were set to leave the next day. "Well, see ya tomorrow!" he said, walking off with his family. One sleepless night later, I was all packed up and ready to go. I gave my mom a big hug, and promised to call her when I got to the first town. I gave my sister a hug too, even though she didn't really want it. I walked out to the Tri-Path Station, a place where the path branches off into 3 other paths, each taking a different route. Nathan was waiting for me. "Well, this is it." he said. "Yep." I agreed. "Which road should we take?" he asked. He handed me a map. I looked at the 3 towns the different paths lead to: Skyhigh City, Fleetfoot Village, and Threeon Town. Each had a Gym in it. I examined the map for a minute, considering. "Well, how about Skyhigh City? It sounds nice enough." I said. Nathan nodded. We set out for Skyhigh City, not knowing what was in store for us, but knowing plenty of adventures and fun times were ahead. To Be Continued...
