It was now time to verse Koga, the Fuschia City Gym Leader. Me and
Ash approached the Fuschia City Gym Leader and challenged him to a
Pokemon battle. He proposed we battle in a special way. A handicap
battle, he said that we could pick any one of our Pokemon to have the
first fight with, and whoever wins will be able to use 3 Pokemon and the
loser of the battle could only use 2 Pokemon. However, you cannot use
the same Pokemon in the 3 on 2 battle as the one in the prelude battle. I
gladly accepted this proposal, I knew he had the advantage, but if I was
better than him than I can beat him at his own game, and that was exactly
what I was planning to do.  I decided to pick Blastoise, although Blastoise
was a very strong Pokemon, I had Charizard that could easily beat 2 of
his Pokemon. So I had already decided to use Blastoise in the Prelude
battle and Charizard as one of the 2 or 3 pokemon in the actual battle. I
decided to wait until the actual battle was about to happen, then I could
find any weakness he may posses in the prelude battle. He chose a very
strong level 35 Nidorina in the prelude match.

Battle:

Koga and Nidorina (level 35) 140HP
              Vs
Jamie and Blastoise (level 42) 170HP

Koga: Nidorina use poison sting (Blastoise – 125HP left)

Jamie: Hydro Pump Blastoise (Nidorina – 100HP left)

Koga: Nidorina use Double Kick (Blastoise – 60HP left)

Jamie: Use Bite Blastoise (Nidorina – 40HP left)

Koga: Nidorina use Tackle (Blastoise – 20HP left)

Jamie: Use Skull Bash (Blastoise defense 100 points higher)

Koga: Nidoring use Thrash (Blastoise – 2HP left)

Jamie: Hit it now Blastoise (Nidorina – 1HP left)

Koga: Finish it with Poison Sting (Blastoise – 0HP)

Koga wins the Prelude match and Jamie is handicapped to use only 2
pokemon in battle…

I knew I needed a huge advantage in type of Pokemon for this upcoming
battle. Levels don’t seem to matter…

The Following Pokemon Battle will feature:

Nidoqueen (level 40), Gloom (level 35) and Parasect (level 30)
                                           Vs
Charizard (level 42) and Butterfree (level 36)

First Koga chooses level 35 Gloom (120HP)
And Jamie chooses level 36 Butterfree (125HP)

Koga: Sleep Powder

Jamie: Butterfree, move away

Koga: Gloom use sweet scent

Jamie: Butterfree use sleep powder (3 turns)

Jamie: use Poison Powder (Gloom 115HP left)

Jamie: Psybeam Butterfree (Gloom 95HP left)

               Posion Powder – 90HP left

Koga: Gloom use stun spore

Jamie: throws out Full Heal

               Poison Powder – 85HP left

Koga: give it a taste of its own medicine, Poison Powder

Jamie: Confusion Butterfree, now!  (40HP left)

        Poison Powder – Gloom – 35HP left)
        Poison Powder – Butterfree – 120HP left)

Jamie: finish it with Psybeam (Gloom fainted)

Well done Butterfree…

Gym Leader Koga summons level 30 Parasect (100HP)

Jamie: Use Psybeam again (Parasect – 80HP)

Koga: Use Stun Spore

                     Poison Powder – 115HP left

Jamie: use Confusion Butterfree (Parasect 40HP)

Koga: don’t worry, scratch Parasect (Butterfree 105HP)

                           Poison Powder – 100HP left

Jamie: Psybeam Butterfree (Butterfree parlysed)

Koga: Scratch again!  (Butterfree 75HP left)

                     Poison Powder 70HP left

Jamie: Common, try it again (Parasect 10HP left)

Koga: Your really close, scratch again (Butterfree 50HP left)

                      Poison Powder 45HP

Koga: switches to Nidoqueen (150HP)

Jamie: Sleep powder (Butterfree paralysed)

                    Poison Powder 40HP

Koga: Thrash attack (Butterfree fainted)

Jamie sends out Charizard and Koga switches to Parasect

Jamie: Flamethrower (Parasect fainted)

Koga sends out Nidoqueen

Jamie: use fly (Charizard fly’s really high into the air

Koga: get ready Nidoqueen

Jamie: NOW!!! (Nidoqueen 100HP left)

Koga: Double Kick (Charizard 130HP left)

Jamie: finish it with Fire Blast (Nidoqueen 1HP left)

Koga: Tackle (Nidoqueen not fast enough)

Jamie: Tackle, Charizard (Nidoqueen fainted)

Congradulations Jamie, Koga Said

Yes, Ash yelled.
