We walked by a pretty park, where the trees and plants were covered with a bit of snow. And we noticed two familiar figures, standing by a tree, their faces pressed close together...

It was Ash and Misty! They were full-blown kissing under a tree! I always had thought that kissing was a little gross. I had never had a boyfriend, and I'd never kissed anbody.

I pulled Tracey and Pikachu away, and said "Give them some privacy." Tracey was staring, and Pikachu had an evil little smile on its face and sparks were coming from its red cheeks. "No, Pikachu, don't shock them."

Ash and Misty are really close now. They kiss each other all the time. We were eating at an Italian place and Tracey and I got a big pizza, which we finished off in a heart beat. Ash and Misty got spaghetti, and they each put one end of a spaghetti noodle in their mouths and slurped it in, and kissed in the middle. Ew?! I bet they saw that on Lady And The Tramp.

I'm almost a little jealous, not because they kiss so much, but they really love each other. I wish someone would love me like that, (other than my family). I don't want someone who just has a crush on me (like that would ever happen), I want someone who loves me the was Ash and Misty do (fat chance), someone I love back. I'm really happy for Misty, though. She must be happy, too.

Today we were outside of Goldenrod, training out pokemon in the snow. I caught lots of new pokemon by ice fishing with Misty in the lake. Let's see, I caught Corsola, Chinchou, and Wooper. Misty and I talked. "I think Tracey likes you,' she told me.

"Maybe." My face stayed expressionless. "Why would he like me, though? Maybe 'cause I'm a pokemon master."

"Dawn, you're a nice person, your smart, and talented. That's why."

"Maybe so. How long have you known Ash?"

"Three years now."

"You two must have been really close, even when you weren't a couple."

"Yeah. We used to fight a lot, though. I like it better this way."

Suddenly, she said, "What do you think about Tracey?"

"He's cool," I answered, "and smart."

"I mean, do you have a crush on him?"

"Uh-uh. I like him a lot, but not in a romantic way."

I hoped she wouldn't tell Tracey what I said. I wished that I hadn't lied to Misty, but this was something I wanted to keep to myself a while.

After about an hour, we started getting cold and decided to get lunch. I returned all my pokemon, and Tracey, Misty, Ash, and I walked back to Goldenrod. We walked down a gentle, snow-covered slope, and talked.

"I can't wait to get to Olivine, they have wonderful water pokemon there, and a lighthouse. How romantic!" said Misty.

"We still have to get a badge from Ecruteak."

Ash began to say, "I ca- Ahhhhhhhhh!"

We all slid down an underground tunnel whose entrance had been disguised in snow, and I bumped myself a rock embedded in the cement. I scraped my self on the rough tunnel walls.

We dropped through the ceiling into a dark room. I splashed as I fell on the ground. So did the others. The floor was covered with a few inches of frigid water. More water was trickling in from snow melting outside the tunnel entrance.

"Ow! Is everyone okay?"

"My nose is bleeding. But I'm okay."

"Misty and I are here."

"Pikachu."

"Toge-pree!"

"Hey! There's a tunnel right here! Maybe this is just a drain or something. This might be the way out."

"Don't drains always have metal bars across the entrance so people don't fall in?"

'Yeah, but this can't be a trap or anything, the walls are cement. Nobody would have poured cement on the walls if this was just some trap."

"Right. Let's go in that tunnel."

Ash, Misty, and Togepi went through the tunnel first. Tracey, Pikachu, and I followed. "My feet are freezing," we heard Misty say. She sounded distant.

"Come on, let's catch up to them."

We ran farther into the tunnel, but we could no longer hear the footsteps from Ash and Misty.

"Pika-pika-chu!"

"Oh, Pikachu. You must be cold walking in that water. I'll carry you," I said. Then we ran into a hard stone wall.

"Oww, It must be a dead end. Let's turn back, and feel the walls for any other way out," Tracey suggested.

So we did. We called Ash and Misty, but we got no answer. in a minute, we found ourselves back in the cold, wet room that we had been in before.

"I guess there wasn't any way out of that tunnel."

"Then where are Ash, Misty, and Togepi?" I was worried about them.

"I don't know. Here's my flashlight! It recharges if you shake it, so it never need batteries."

Tracey turned on the flashlight and shined it around the room.

"There's the tunnel we came in." We looked at the ceiling, which was about four feet over Tracey's head.

"Hey! There are two tunnnels! Ash and Misty must have gone into the other one!"

"Maybe we should stay here and wait for them. If they can't find us, they'll know to come back here."

"But what if they're hurt or need our help?"

"You're right. Let's go."

The second tunnel was much longer than the first, and it twisted and curved. We ran our hands along the wet walls, in case there was another tunnel or a door. We found none. About five minutes into the tunnel, we heard a horrible, chilling scream.

"That was Misty!"
