Disclaimer:I don't own pokemon or the characters except Dawn. It sure is boring to type this disclaimer every time I make a new chapter.

A few days ago, as you know, we fell into a secret hideout belonging to Team Rocket. Here is what we learned from the police about the hideout and what happened.

---The man in the red suit who shot Officer Jenny was Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket. Giovanni got a life sentence in jail for shooting an officer, stealing lots of pokemon, and a bunch of other bad stuff.

---The pokemon that were rescued by Tracey and I are staying at a pokemon adoption center, so that they can be reunited with their trainers.

---Jessie and James, two other Rocket Members, quit the team because they didn't want Giovanni to hurt Ash or his friends. I read a newspaper article about the incident, and Jessie said, "We always thought the twerp and his friends were actually pretty cool, and we liked them. When Giovanni told us about the plan to kidnap them, we were against it and the boss fired us." Jessie, James, and Meowth now own and operate the extremely successful Rocket Resturant in Blackthorn.

Ash was released from the hospital yesterday, and I went to the park (a different one this time) to train my pokemon and take my mind off all that has happened. I mean, seeing Ash hurt, Misty almost getting kidnapped, Jenny was shot, Tracey and I were almost shot, well, it's stressful. There's one thing that isn't stressful, though, that's been going in the back of my head for three days.

Tracey held my hand. It was so weird, and I had never felt loved like that before. And I admit to myself, I like Tracey, too. A lot.

Anyway, Sentret evolved into Furret, and Kakuna is a beedrill now. Chinchou is almost a Lanturn, and Wooper gained a few levels, too. My pokemon get strong fast because I am dedicated to them, and instead of spending all the money I get from pokemon battles on myself, I buy Rare Candies and Lucky Eggs, grown by chanseys, for my pokemon, who earned them.

Ash and Misty went on a date today, and Pikachu was taking care of Togepi, who is too small to go out late. Tracey and I went to get dinner for us and the pokemon.

"We'll have two bowls of salad, two baskets of breadsticks, three quarts of the Chef's Special soup, and an order of cookies, a cake, and a pound of pork," said Tracey. We were ordering a lot of food to go.

"Boy," I said, "We'll have a nice Christmas feast while Ash and Misty are on their date. Hey, look at this."

"What?"

It was a poster. It said:

Christmas Eve Dance
for teens 13-18.
dress is nice, not too formal
from 9 PM to 3 AM
free to all pokemon trainers
location: Goldenrod High Gymnasium

"Hey," said Tracey, "You wanna go?"

"Yeah! It looks like fun."

"Well," he said, "Its six-thirty now. We can get back to the pokemon center and have dinner and change by then."

"We can leave a note to Ash and Misty telling them where we've gone."

So we took the food back to the pokemon center, which, thankfully, was only a short distance away. We had a great meal, and I changed into a silky, dark purple dress with short sleeves. It extended down to my knees. It was simple, but pretty, besides being the only dress I had with me. I put my hair up by twisting it on the back of my head and putting it into place with a clip. Some nice lip gloss, and I was almost ready to go. I put on some black sandals with a one inch heel that Misty had insisted I buy. They were really nice.

I met Tracey in the hall. He was wearing nice pants and a shirt, he looked good, but not too dressy.

He told me, "Unlike most other girls, you don't take very long to get ready. That's good."

"Yeah, unlike other girls, I don't obsess myself with my appearance. I try to look pretty, but I don't overdo it. I think that people should like you for who you are, not how much makeup you have on."

"That's definitely true. You look very nice."

"You too."

We walked a short way to the gymnasium. It was decorated beautifully, with big, decorated Christmas trees in each of the four corners of the gym. There were real butterfree fluttering about with bells around their necks. In a far corner, there was a cluster of mistletoe, tied with a red ribbon. There was also a table with fruit punch and cookies.

Tracey and I showed the man outside the door our Pokedexes, so that we could go in free. The DJ was playing good songs, the kind that most people our age listen to, but it wasn't trashy or bad. I slow danced with Tracey a couple of times, and we had a great time. It was almost midnight.

We watched a couple kissing under the mistletoe.

"Have you ever kissed anyone?" I asked.

"Nope. That's probably because I'm not the cutest guy. I could never be as much of a girl magnet as guys like him are."

He pointed at a guy who wasn't extremely good looking, but he had a few girls following him around. Every time he said something, the girls would laugh.

"I've never kissed anyone either. But Tracey, most sane girls don't 'go after' guys who are really good looking, just ones that are nice to other people, and smart. You're just fine the way you are."

I noticed that we'd started walking over to a corner of the gym where it wasn't so crowded.

"Well, you're just beautiful the way you are. Look up."

I looked up. Mistletoe.

I looked at Tracey and he leaned over and kissed me on the lips. It wasn't a French kiss, but it was warm and nice and it was a wonderful feeling. Then we hugged each other. And I looked at the clock. It was 12:05 in the morning. I had gotten my first kiss on Christmas day!

"You don't need to be a girl magnet," I said.

"I guess not. Hmm."

He hugged me again and kissed me on the cheek.

Note: I hope you liked my little romantic moment between Dawn and Tracey, I am not a romantic person but I tried my best. I write only cute stuff, young love, as I said before. Never any lemons. Reviews welcome.
