Disclaimer:I do not own pokemon.

Note:Hi everybody. I am starting a new story about Ash pretty soon since I am ending this fic. I may write a sequel, if I get reviews. I got grounded from the computer for a few days, so I haven't posted for a while. Reviews are welcome.

Last night, Tracey and I got home about 2, and we slept in until 12 or so this morning, which I do not usually do. Tracey, Ash, Misty, and I exchanged presents. Tracey gave me a gorgeous ring and a necklace, which I love. Ash gave me a pokedex internet card, so that I can send e-mails and go on the internet on my pokedex! Misty gave me a great book (not pokemon-related). It was a pretty good day.

This morning we arrived in Ekruteak, and I already have my badge. Ash lost against the gym leader here, so we are leaving to go to Olivine, where Ash can train against the water pokemon, and we can stay in Olivine for the New Years celebrations there.

"Hey! I got an e-mail from Richie!" exclaimed Ash.

Misty came over and gave him a kiss on the lips. "I didn't know that you still keep in touch with Richie," she said.

"Sure, we e-mail each other all the time. Todd and Duplica, too."

"What did he say?"

"He'll be in Olivine for the New Year celebration. We can see him then."

"That's great."

Then the phone began to ring in our pokemon center room. Ash answered.

"Hey, Mom."

"Hi, sweety, guess what?"

"What?"

"Prof. Oak and I are getting married!"

"Yipee!"

Ash dropped the phone and began jumping around the room. He regained whatever sanity that he could and went back to the phone.

"That's great, Mom. When's the wedding?"

"April, honey."

"Wow!"

We arrived in Olivine today. It's great. Misty and I went ice skating while Ash and Tracey trained.

The big celebraton that would take place that night would include fireworks, and a light show over the water. As current pokemon Master, my friends and I had the top of the Olivine lighthouse reserved for us to watch the show. While we waited, we had a good dinner.

"Did you know," said Misty, "That Tracey used to have long hair and he wore a headband?"

"How weird," I said. "You must have looked strange."

I tried to imagine Tracey with long hair and a headband. It was hard. Tracey's hair now was short and much like Ash's hair. I laughed.

At about eleven, we arrived at the lighthouse. It was great, Ash, Misty, Tracey, and I talked and had fun until 11:50, when the fireworks show began. Tracey and I stood at the edge, watching the lights in the sky as we talked.

"Dawn,"Tracey said, turning to me, "I have to tell you something."

I was puzzled, what wouls he want to tell me so badly?

"I've been wanting to tell you this for ever, but I was afraid that it would break our friendship apart."

'Does he not like me anymore?' I thought to myself.

Boy, was I in for a surprise.

Tracey looked at me straight in the eyes. I looked back. He was so handsome. His eyes just made me want to kiss him. I could see Ash and Misty staring at us from their chairs. I didn't care.

"Nothing could ever break our friendship apart," I answered.

"Dawn," Tracey said, "I love you."

"I love you too."

I could hear a huge burst of fireworks explode in the distance, and their light glittered on the water. A constant, chilly breeze blew gently on us. There I stood, in my jeans and jacket and T-shirt. And Tracey stood there in his jeans and shirt. And we looked into each other's eyes. Tracey's lips met mine, and Ash and Misty took picture after picture of us with their cameras.

As we kissed, the fireworks went off over our heads, the wind blew, and we held each other closely, and just kissed like that, while 2003 turned to 2004. Paradise.

Note: I know the ending was kinda corny and stuff, but it's the best I can do. Sorry if you don't like it. PLEASE SEND YOUR REVIEWS TO ME. Should I write a sequel? I think this story might be best if it just ended here. I dunno. I've never kissed anyone so I don't know how it feels but I tried to write the best I could. Bye everyone! My new story will be coming soon!
