Ash- Hey Misty? Wake up; I need to talk to you.
Misty- Huh? Ash? What are you doing up? It's almost 12:30!
Ash- Yeah, yeah, I know. Listen, can I talk to you.
Misty- Can't this wait until morning I'm…

Misty was tired, but she knew when Ash had something serious on his mind, and 
this looked like that time. She nodded.

Ash- We've traveled together so many years. Years before we met up with 
Brock. So we're really close, won't you say so?
Misty- Yes. 'Where have I heard this before?'
Ash- …I don't know. We're good friends Mist, no we're best friends.
Misty- Of course we are Ash; don't you want to be best friends?
Ash- Well yes of course, but another part of me tells me we can't be.
Misty- What do you mean?! 'Oh my gosh! Ash doesn't want to be my friend 
anymore! So much for me telling him that I love him!'
Ash- Well, Misty…I kinda…want to be…you know…more than that.
Misty- What?
Ash- More than friends, more than best friends!
Misty- Really?
Ash- Yeah, Misty I…

Before Ash could tell her that he loved her, Misty pulled Ash towards her and 
kissed him gently. Ash couldn't believe that she had done that. His eyes 
remained opened, and then he shut them tightly. They stayed in each others 
arms for a couple minutes, that seemed so much longer for them. Misty broke the 
kiss, when she had to breath. They sat quietly on Ash's bed not knowing what to 
say next. 

Misty- So what were you going to say?
Ash- Huh?
Misty- You know, before I kissed you.
Ash- Oh, that. I forgot.

Ash turned to Misty and her eyes seemed to shimmer in the slight light that was 
coming through his window. He smiled. She never looked this beautiful.

Ash- Misty, I…I love you.
Misty- Oh Ash!

She hugged him tightly as if she was never going to let go. Ash returned her hug 
and put his arms around her. Misty looked into Ash eyes.

Misty- I've felt the same exact way about you Ash, but I've never been able to tell 
you. The truth is, I love you too!
Ash- Thanks Mist, that really means a lot to me.
This time Ash kissed her. He pulled her into a firm embrace. She fell back on the 
bed causing Ash to fall with her. They broke the kiss and smiled at each other.

Misty- You're the best thing that's ever happened to me Ash, just remember that.
Ash- So are you.

She gave him a quick peck on the lips and said goodnight. Ash went back to lay 
on the floor and almost fell asleep, but Misty woke him.

Misty- You know Ash, there's room for another up here.
Ash- Uhhh…
Misty- Don't worry, nothing's going to happen. Don't you trust me?
Ash- Of course I do it's just that…
Misty- What? If you don't want to that's fine, I won't mind.
Ash- No! I want to it's just that…
Misty- What is it?!
Ash- Nothing, it's nothing forget it.
Misty- Ooookay, whatever you wanna do.

Misty turned around, her back towards Ash, pretending she was falling to sleep. 
But instead she was hoping that he'd change his mind. She wasn't going to do 
anything, she just wanted to be in his arms. Ash sat up in his "bed" and looked at 
her. He took up his blanket and threw it aside and brought his pillow and placed it 
next to Misty's head. He lay down slowly and got under the covers. His eyes 
grew wide as his legs touched her delicate skin. 'She's sooo soft!' Misty turned 
around and looke at him.

Misty- I knew you couldn't resist!
Ash- Hehe…
Misty- I love you Ash.
Ash- I love you to Misty.

She turned around again and drifted off to sleep. But Ash couldn't sleep. He 
looked at Misty and without thinking he put his arms around her. Soon enough he 
realized what he was doing. 'Oh my God! What am I doing'  But Misty moved 
closer to him and he felt her warmth against his body. He liked it. He regained his 
courage and tightened his arm around her. Soon they both were asleep. But little 
did they know an awake Pikachu and Togepi got a picture of this romantic 
moment and were ready to show the rest of the family soon!
