Well I’m back with the next installment. Hope you enjoy… Key: **=ash’s thoughts ## = flashback PART TWO ********************************** **What the hell am I doing? I swore I would never see her again after what she did. I don’t even want to look at her or I might find myself lost… again. I guess I have no choice, Brock will only help me if I visit her… I need strength… The spiky haired young man powered on his bicycle through the now heavy rain. **What a night…** As ash made his way to the hospital, a feeling of dread entered him. He watched the silent nurses with masks on wander around making no noise at all, it seemed wrong and slightly unsettling. **Shouldn’t hospitals be busy, bustling places?** ‘Uhh, I’m here for… Miss… Miss Waterflower, Misty.’ Ash mumbled to the lady at reception. It had been a long time since he had said her full name, and just speaking it made bad memories come alive and eat at his mind. ‘Oh’, the lady said, sizing Ash up, ‘I was beginning to wonder if she had any friends or relatives at all… Except for Brock… such a lovely man he is too, I suppose he was her boyfriend or something.’ ‘NO!’ Ash shouted, anger rising up inside him. ‘I mean no… they were just friends.’ **What the hell was that! I don’t feel that way about her any more… but why did I get so angry?** ‘Alright dear, calm down.’ The receptionist said a little shocked, ‘She’s in room 2080, here’s the key card. Take as long as you want.’ As Ash stood in the elevator alone, he had time to think about her. More memories came flooding back to him similar to the ones before. ## ‘So who have we got on the list?’ ‘Uhh… Gary, Brock, Jon, Pete, Cassie, your sisters, and god knows who they will bring…’ ‘Hey!’ Ash and misty were going over the final arrangements for the big party next week. Both were excited but stressed at the same time. ‘So I’ve filled out the order forms and sent them off. But wait, do you think we have enough food?! What about alcohol!! And then again what if we can’t fit everyone!! What happens if we—‘ ‘Mist’ Ash said, putting a finger to her lips, ‘Everything will be fine, trust me.’ Misty looked deep into his dark brown eyes and something inside her just knew he was telling the truth. ‘Ash…’ ‘What’s up?’ ‘I never thanked you for organizing this party’, she said looking at the ground. ‘Yeah you have, thousands of times! Don’t worry about it!’ ‘But I really mean it; this means the world to me, thank you.’ ‘I said don’t worry, enjoy it!’ ‘Ash… you’re my best friend, you know that?’ ‘Huh? I mean yeah—cool.’ ‘I just never really told you that before and I really need you to know.’ Misty was going redder by the minute. She gave Ash a small kiss on the cheek and left. Ash was left struck. **What the hell just happened?! MISTY KISSED ME!!** He felt feelings erupt inside him which he had not felt since the previous encounter and almost forgotten about. He spent the rest of the night pondering over what it meant. He didn’t speak to Misty again until the next day. ## Ping! The elevator had reached the 11th floor. Ash couldn’t move. ** What was I thinking; I should never have come here. Sure she was my best friend then, but now… after it happened. ** He found himself approaching room 2080. As he looked at the shiny doorknob, he couldn’t bear to touch it. Right through the thin piece of wood was Misty. **Misty… I gotta do this, just get it over with** Creeeak, the door if the room squeaked open, it obviously wasn’t used that often. As Ash made his way in, he heard the steady, rhythmic beat of the life support machine and a soft breathing. He couldn’t bring himself to look up. ** Here goes nothing. ** He lifted his head slowly. As Ash looked up he felt numb, he couldn’t breath, emotions were choking him from within, his vision was going cloudy and before he knew it, he had collapsed, the last thing he saw was the door creaking open and a silhouette standing in the brightly lit frame. ‘Ash, Ash… ASH’ The young man woke up with a start for what felt like the 10th time that night. He sat up and found himself in the exact same spot where he had fallen on the floor. He looked up to a face which he had not seen in years. ‘Brock?’ he croaked ‘Man, you haven’t changed a bit!’ Ash couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of his beloved friend, but he looked more serious that Ash remembered. The loving, playful face was long gone. ‘Sorry, ‘Man’’ Brock whispered through gritted teeth, ‘but I’m afraid I can’t greet you in the same way, as if nothing happened!’ Ash suddenly remembered the room he was in. ‘Oh’, he moaned, everything was coming back to him now, thr fiery red hair spread across the pillow, the pearly white, pure, beautiful face. The sculpted cheekbones, the noble nose. He remembered how he had been instantly drawn in under her spell and how the wave of emotions had overwhelmed him. ‘M—Misty..’ He managed to croak out. ‘It’s, it’s… you’ ‘She can’t hear you.’ The voice came from behind him, in his shock Ash had almost forgotten Brocks presence. ‘Oh Misty,’ Ash felt a tear begin to trickle its way down his face, ‘What have you become?’ Well that’s the end of part 2. I hope you are enjoying it! Sorry this part was a little shorter. Please rate and comment! Thanks, joker
