Chapter 9 Team Delta VS. Team Rocket Part 1 of 2

"Okay here is $20," Karl said handing the captain of the boat money for
the fairy across the water.
"Thanks," the captain said smiling weird at Karl.  He has been doing that
every since they got on the boat that went to Jared Island.
Karl's Pokéball fell off his belt.
"Karl your Pokéball," Tonya quickly yelled.
"Pi," said Pichu as he caught it before it fell in the water.
"Darn belt," Karl said taking the Pokéball from Pichu.
"Put it in your pocket until we get to the town then you can buy a new 
belt,"
Tonya suggested.
"Yeah," Karl said slipping the Pokéball in his pocket.
Now that Team Delta is trying to take down one of the Rocket bases in
Jared Island, Don and Cindy from Team Delta and Harvey and Haley from Team
Rocket have been reassigned to help with their team.  So there were no teams 
to
bother Karl but he didn't know that.  He also didn't know that all Rocket 
members
were put on alert about Karl and the captain of the ship was a rocket in 
disguise
he had recognize Karl but wanted to wait for the perfect time before 
capturing
Karl and now that Karl was occupied daydreaming about the next town and his
battle. He pulled out a Pokéball and threw it at Karl.
"Hey stupid," he yelled at Karl.
Karl turned around and dodged the Pokéball.  It landed on the floor in front
of him and an Alakazam exploded from the Pokéball.
"Alakazam," it said.
"What?" Karl said confused.
"Alakazam use Flash," he yelled.
The psychic Pokémon glowed as bright as the sun blinding Karl and
Tonya.
"Pichu stop that Pokémon with a Thundershock," Karl quickly yelled.
"Pichuuu," yelled the Pokémon as it let out a Thundershock attack but
because it couldn't see it missed.
"Ha I can't believe we have been having a hard time killing a kid like you,"
the Rocket said.  "Alakazam use Psychic to hold them in their place.
"Ala," said the Pokémon as it used its Psychic powers to hold Karl, Tonya
and Pichu.
"Now put them to sleep," the Rocket said.
"No," Karl yelled.
"Night night," the Rocket said as Karl, Tonya and Pichu fell asleep.
When Karl woke up…

"So you decided to wake up," Kristina said looking at Karl who was tied up
to a chair.
"What is going on?" Karl yelled looking around not see Tonya or Pichu
anywhere.
"Your friends and your Pokémon are in a different rooms," she said
answering Karl's next question.
"What do you want with me?" Karl yelled.
"You humiliated Team Rocket and me and now you will pay," she said.
"What are you talking about all I did was help that professor," Karl said.
"Where is he?" Drew said walking into the room.  "So the rat has finally 
fell
into one of our traps," he said.
"What do you want with me?" Karl yelled at the both of them.
"To get you out of the way," Kristina said.
Karl started to put his hand in his pocket.
Please be there; he thought.  Yes; he said as he put his hands around the
Pokéball.
"You have ruin our plans for the last time," Drew said pulling out a gun.
"No wait," Karl said.
Kristina put her hand on the gun.
"I have also ruined Team Delta's plans," Karl said getting his index finger
over the release button.
"So once we destroy Team Delta's plan to over take this base and island
we will have a whole island at our mercy," Drew said cocking the gun.
Now; Karl thought in his mind as he threw the Pokéball over his head it hit
the gun right as it fired.  The bullet went into the ground and Charmander 
popped
out of his Pokéball and shot an ember ball at the ground making a lot of 
smoke.
Then the fire lizard turned around and burned the ropes with his 
Flamethrower.
"Thanks," Karl said darting out the door.
Drew grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire.
Kristina then pulled the alarm.
BRRRRRRRRIIIINNNNNNG BRRRRRRRRINNNNNNGGGGG
"We have to find Tonya and the others," Karl yelled to Charmander.
Karl tried a door.  Locked.  Tried another door.  Locked.  Tried another
door open.  He jumped inside the room and closed the door behind him right 
as a
couple of Rockets came running by.
Karl turned on the light and he saw all his things.
He quickly put on his Pokégear, backpack and his Pokébelt with 4
Pokéball on it.
"Great they didn't put Pichu in a Pokéball," Karl said disappointed because
he hope they did.
{Knowing Pichu he probably put up a fight} Charmander said.
"Hey maybe he is in here," one of the Rockets said trying to open the
door.
"Charmander quick melt the knob," Karl told Charmander.
Charmander used it Flamethrower to melt the knob.
"YEEEOOOOWWW," the Rocket yelled.
"What?" another Rocket said.
"The knob was burning hot," the Rocket who had tried to open the door
said.
"Stand back," the other Rocket said.  "Go Nidoqueen," the rocket yelled.
Karl picked up his Pokédex.
< Nidoqueen Its hard scales provide strong protection. It uses its hefty
bulk to execute powerful moves. >
"Uh oh time to leave," Karl said looking around and found a window.
{We are on the third floor long way down} Charmander said looking out
the window.
"Poiwhirl go," Karl said throwing the purple Pokéball with the tadpole
Pokémon in it.
{Huh? } The Pokémon said.
"We need you to get us to the ground level," Karl said.
{What? I don't have wings} Poliwhirl said.
"No use Ice Beam to create a ice slide," Karl said.
{Okay} the Pokémon said as it ripped the window off the sill and started to
make a slide of ice.
"Use you Tackle attack," the rocket commanded it Nidoqueen to do the
attack.
It slammed into the door and it crumpled like a piece of paper.
"Huh?" the Rockets said confused.
Then one of them saw the window.
"Hey he went out threw the window," the rocket said running toward the
window he hit a block of ice and fell down.
"Owww," he said.
"Hey there is ice here," another rocket said.
"We better go after him," the hurt rocket said.
They ran out the room.
"That was a close one," Karl said opening a crate in the room.
{Yeah now they think we have escape out the window} Charmander said.
"Now to find Tonya and Pichu," Karl said.
{Wait you need a disguise} Poliwhirl said.
"Yes but what?" Karl said.
Charmander went back into the box and came out with a Rocket suit.
"Ha the perfect disguise," Karl said.  He put on the suit and put his cloths
in his backpack.
"Okay get in your Pokéball Poliwhirl," Karl said.
The Pokémon disappeared into its Pokéball.
"I am going to keep you out to look like I am looking for me," Karl said.
{Yeah} Charmander said a little confused.
"Okay," Karl said walking out of the room.
There were Rockets everywhere but they were too busy to notice a kid
and a Charmander dressed in a Rocket Suit.
"Hey you rookie," a rocket said to Karl.
"Yes," Karl said a little nervous.
"You have a fire Pokémon so go and protect that troublesome electric
Pokémon.
"Okay where?" Karl asked still a little worried.
"Rookies," the rocket said under his breath.  "Room 54," he said pointing
to a corridor.
Karl walked through the corridor trying to blend in.
"52…53…54," Karl said opening the door to see his little mouse in a
rubber cell using all its electricity to no avail.  There was no one else in 
the room.
"Pichu," Karl said.
The baby Pokémon looked around and saw Karl dressed in a rocket suit.
"Pi," it said happily.
Karl went up to the control panel and started pressing buttons a door
opened.
"Pichu," said the Pokémon running into Karl's arms.
"Pichu do you know where Tonya is?" Karl asked.
{I am afraid I don't, I woke up in here} Pichu said.
"Great," Karl said.
{This building is big it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack}
Charmander said.
"What now?" Karl wondered.
{The control panel} Pichu said.  {Maybe it is linked up to other rooms}
"Like a network," Karl said running back to the panel.
He started to type on the computer when a familiar voice came over the
intercom.
"Every Rocket is to report to their station," Kristina voice said.
{Great the two rockets who went on a coffee break should be back soon}
Pichu said.
{Hurry up} Charmander said getting ready for battle.
"The computer says that there is no one by that name here," Karl said
confused.
{Team Delta must have her} Pichu said.
The two rockets returned from their coffee break to find the rubber door to
the rubber room open.
"Hey," the two rockets said but that was all they said because Pichu hit
them with a Thunderwave.
"Lets get out of here," Karl said running out of the room and back to the
other room where his backpack was used a rope he found in the box to climb 
out
the window and ran as fast as he could in the direction of the town.
Where is the world is Tonya…?

"Hmmm huh?  Where am I?" Tonya asked looking around.
"You are in the Pokémon Center in Jared City," Nurse Joy said.
"How come the power is out?" Tonya asked.
Nurse Joy walked up to her with a washcloth and started to clean the big
cut on above Tonya's eyebrow.
"Team Rocket and Team Delta are having a gang war," she said.
"Where is Karl?" Tonya said still disordered.  "Where is Pichu?"
"Who?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Karl a Pokémon trainer and a Pichu?" Tonya asked.
"You were the only one Chansey found," Nurse Joy said.
"Team Rocket," Tonya said trying to sit up but was hurt and laid back
down.
"You need to rest," Nurse Joy said.
"No have to find Karl," Tonya said but she was too tired and fell asleep.
Karl asleep on the job…

{Karl} Pichu said rocking him.
"What," Karl said waking up from his sleep state.
{It is morning} Charmander said.
"Got to keep running must get to the town or city," Karl said getting up
slowly.
{We are already there} Charmander said pointing to the city below.
"Lets go," Karl said running towards the city.  When he got there he saw
the streets deserted.
"Where is everyone?" he wondered.
"Hey you stupid Rocket," a kid about Karl's age said.
"Huh?" Karl said confused.
"You are always stupid aren't you," he said this time pulling out a 
Pokéball.
"What?" Karl said still confused then he noticed he was still wearing the
rocket suit.
"Wait you got it all wrong," Karl quickly said but it was too late the kid
threw down the Pokéball and let out a Charizard.
"RRRRROOOOOOOWWWRR," the giant Pokémon yelled.
"Aiiiiiii," Karl said.
"Ha now lets see you try to steal this Pokémon," the kid yelled.
"Wait," Karl yelled.
"Hey what is all the noise," about 10 people came out of nowhere.
"This guy is a Rocket," the kid with the Charizard said pointing to Karl.
"Lets get him," one person said.
"Yeah you Rockets won't get away with what you did to our beautiful
island," another person said.
"But I am not a Rocket," Karl yelled.
"Yeah right, get him Charizard," the kid yelled.
The fire Pokémon let out a devastating Fire Blast aimed at Karl.  Karl
barely moved out of the way.
"Piiii," yelled the Pokémon as it charged up its electricity.
"No stop," Karl yelled.
"Pi?" it said confused.
"Run," Karl yelled to his Pokémon as they tried to run but they were
surrounded.
"You think you can get away from me a gym leader and a pissed off mob,"
the kid said.
"You are the gym leader?" Karl asked forgetting that he was surrounded.
"What is wrong with you?" the kid gym leader said.  "Charizard."
The Pokémon used Fire Spin and surrounded Karl and his Pokémon.
"Wait," someone said in the crowed when they got through Karl could see
it was Nurse Joy.
"What? We are about to finish off this Rocket," the kid gym leader said
pointing at Karl.
"He isn't a Rocket," Nurse Joy said.
There was a murmur in the mob.
"Right before the Rockets and Delta's started fighting I talked to Nurse Joy
in Kipper Island," Nurse Joy explained.  "She told me about a two Pokémon
trainers one of them had a Pichu," Nurse Joy said.
"Yeah that could be a coincident," the gym leader kid said.
"No Jarrod it is not," Nurse Joy said.
At the Pokémon Center…

Karl had dressed back into his normal cloths and was reunited with Tonya.
"And that is the whole thing up to where Jarrod comes in," Karl said
finishing his story to Tonya.   Nurse Joy walked in with Karl's Pokéballs.
"Thanks," Karl said taking his silver and white Pokéballs and the one
purple and white Pokéball.
"Now how do we save the town?" Nurse Joy asked looking at Karl.
"Hey he isn't the only one with ideas," Tonya said.
"Yeah but you are hurt you can't help me," Karl pointed out.
"Yeah but I still got a lot of ideas," she said.
"Okay fine lets hear you plan," Karl said.
"We take out Team Delta then Team Rocket will stop the fight," Tonya
said.
"But that wouldn't get rid of the Rockets," Nurse Joy pointed out.
"Boy you three suck," Jarrod said walking in.
"And you have a better idea," Karl said looking at him.
"We destroy the Rocket base," Jarrod said.
"Yeah but how?" Nurse Joy said ignoring the earlier remark.
"With Voltorbs," he said.
"Voltorbs?" Karl said pulling out his Pokédex.
<Voltorb.  It is said to camouflage itself as a Pokéball. It will 
self-destruct
with very little stimulus. >
"Voltorbs could easily Self-Destruct and destroy the buildings," Jarrod
said.
"But where are we going to get a bunch of Voltorbs," Nurse Joy said
thinking out loud.
"Me," Jarrod said pulling out 10 Pokéball out of a pouch.
"Good,' Nurse Joy said.  "You two could work together to stop Team
Rocket VS. Team Delta gang war."
"Karl where is Pichu?" Tonya asked looking around.
"Yeah where is Pichu Nurse Joy?" Karl asked looking at Nurse Joy.
She pointed to one of the Pokéballs on Karl's belt.
Karl took the Pokéball and opened it Pichu came out in a white blur.
"Pi," the Pokémon said.
"Whoa," Tonya said.
"What is the big idea it is just a Pichu," Jarrod said.
"Pichu has never been in a Pokéball," Tonya said.
"You okay Pichu," Karl asked concerned.
{Hey I am a big Pokémon I can handle a little time in a Pokéball.  A
LITTLE TIME} it repeated.
"Ha I never thought I would see the day when you would hang out in a
Pokéball," Tonya said.
"Can we start planning for our attack," Jarrod said impatient.
"Okay," Karl said.
After they had all the plans where planned out…

"Okay so I will keep Team Rocket busy while you plant the Voltorbs," Karl
said repeating the plan.
"No I keep them busy because I am a gym leader my Pokémon are more
experience than yours," Jarrod said.
"Yeah but they are your Voltorbs," Karl pointed out.
"Pichu," yelled the Pokémon as it let out a Thundershock ending the
argument.
"Listen," Tonya said.  "You Karl hold off Team Rocket, you Jarrod they are
your Voltorbs you plant them."
"Fine but if the plan doesn't work you can blame it on yourselves," he said
walking out the door.
"Too bad you can't come," Karl said looking at Tonya who was in a wheel
chair because she was still to weak to walk.
"Yeah but you will be okay on your own," she said.
"Bye," Karl said walking out the door.
After they were about halfway to the base Jarrod asked a question.
"Why are you in this town?"
"I am here to challenge you the gym leader," Karl said showing him his
other two badges.
"Then you are going to be here awhile," Jarrod said.
"What is that suppose to mean?" Karl demanded.
"Pi," said Pichu backing Karl up.
"With the kind of Pokémon that I see you have you will have a hard time
beating me and my fire Pokémon."
"Yeah well when we are done saving this town you will see what kind of
Pokémon I have," Karl said.
They were quiet for a second.
"Baby Pokémon that is all you have," Jarrod whispered to himself but Karl
heard what he said.
"What my Pokémon are just as strong as anyone else's Pokémon," Karl
said pointing a Pichu and then at his Pokéballs.
"Whatever we will see when we battle," Jarrod said.
They reach about 3 	quarters way to the base when they saw a man and a
women dressed in a Team Delta suit they ducked behind a bush before the
Deltas could see them.
"Yeah we attack the base in half and hour," the female Delta said
explaining the plan to the male Delta.
"I don't think you will get a chance," Jarrod said jumping out of the bushes
and throwing his Pokéball down.
"RRRRROOOOOOOWWWWRRRR," yelled the Charizard as its shot out
a big stream of fire from it mouth.
"Ahhh," the Deltas yelled surprised.
"Charizard Fire Blast," Jarrod commanded.
"ROOORRRRWWWRRR," yelled the fire Pokémon as it shot out a huge
fire at the Deltas.  But one of the Deltas threw a Pokéball and out popped a
Rhydon who the fire wouldn't hurt it being rock type but it was and was 
knocked
out.
"You think that weak thing could stop me," Jarrod said as the female Delta
called back her Rhydon.
That is one strong Pokémon to be able to take out types who have the
advantage; Karl thought.
"Give up," Jarrod yelled at the two Deltas who were out muscled by the
strong fire Pokémon.
Karl came out of the bushes and tied and gagged the Deltas.
"Return Charizard," Jarrod said calling back his Pokémon.
"Lets continue," he said as they continued to the base.
When they got to the base they saw it riddled with Delta agents as they
went at it with Pokémon and with themselves.
"Well I guess we don't need a distraction after all," Karl said when he saw
that the Rockets VS. Deltas were already underway.
They got into the base that was easier than Karl thought because not only
did Jarrod train Fire Pokémon he also trained Psychic Pokémon.  So his
Alakazam teleported them into the room where Karl found Pichu that was they
were going to plan to put all the Voltorbs.
Jarrod released his ten Voltorb and started to place them in position
when…
"Hey what are you doing…" a voice said trailing off.
"Yeah that is our job," another voice said trailing off. Then.
"TEAM DELTA," Karl yelled.
"Yeah the one and only," Donny said.
"What are you doing here," Cindy asked.
"We are here to destroy the Rocket base," Jarrod said still putting the 
final
Voltorb into place.
"Can we help," Donny said.
"You idiot," Cindy said.  "If they destroy the base the boss will be pissed
he wants to use the base himself."
"Hey stop," Donny said throwing out his Marowak.
"Yeah," Cindy said backing him up with Sandslash.
"I will hold them back," Jarrod said.
"No you need to put some Voltorbs in the other room," Karl yelled to him.
"Okay," Jarrod said trying to leave the room but the Pokémon got in his
way.  Jarrod went to pull out a Pokéball.
"What let me handle them," Karl said throwing two Pokéballs.
"Bulbasaur."
"Poliwhirl."
"Water Gun and Razor Leaf," Karl yelled.
The two attacks hit both Marowak and Sandslash knocking them out of the
way.
"Go," Karl yelled to Jarrod who ran out into the next room.
"Follow him," Cindy said.
But Bulbasaur who slammed Sandslash grabbed the two Pokémon by the
legs but Marowak threw a Bonemerang that hit Bulbasaur in the head.
"Poliwhirl deflect it with Water Gun," Karl yelled.
Poliwhirl tried to use Water Gun but was hit by Sandslash with a Slash
attack.
"Go Rhydon," Donny said throwing the Pokéball.
"Hey double team Water Gun and Razor Leaf at Sandslash," Karl yelled.
Sandslashed dodged the Water Gun but got a mouth full of Razor Leafs it
was knocked out.
"Rhydon Horn Drill," Donny yelled.
"Marowak Bone Club," Cindy yelled to her Pokémon.
"Poliwhirl use Water Gun on the Marowak," Karl yelled.  "Bulbasaur Razor
Leaf."
That was it and both Pokémon were fainted Team Delta called them back.
"Pichu finish this with a Thunderbolt," Karl yelled as the Pokémon
electrocuted both Cindy and Donny they "bolted" out the door.
Karl recalled his Pokémon and ran to the room where Jarrod was.  But
when he got there Jarrod was tied up with 3 Ivysaurs surrounding Jarrod with
their Solarbeam attacks charged.
"Took you long enough," Jarrod said.
