Jessie's Little Plan It was almost lunchtime and James was still asleep. Jessie had been up since sunrise and started to worry because James never slept in this late and he refused to get up several times when she tried to wake him. Jessie finally decided to try and wake up James again. She went over to him and asked him "What's wrong James?" James pulled the covers over his head "What's the point in trying to win if we know we're always going to lose?" Jessie looked at him "Things will be different today because I have a plan." James was curious. "What kind of plan that hasn't already failed?" Jessie grinned evilly "What if we kidnapped the twerp? His yellow rat seems to always try and save him so when pikachu shows up, we nab him." James wondered when Jessie had time to think of such a good plan. Jessie took out her mallet and whacked him over the head for asking that. Ash, Misty, and Brock were taking a day off from training at the beach. They had all their pokemon out of their balls and were having a great time until they heard two familiar evil laughs. Jessie James and Meowth showed up in a submarine shaped like a magikarp and started to recite their motto: "Prepare for trouble" "And make it double" "To protect the world from devastation" "To unite all peoples within our nation" "To denounce the evils of truth and love" "To extend our reach to the stars above" "Jessie" "James" "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" "Meowth, that's right!" Ash was angry with the trio because the wanted to ruin his day of fun. "Pikachu, thunder shock!" The attack failed and Team Rocket just laughed and said they did some upgrades to their sub. James called out vileplume. "Vileplume, sleep powder." Before the twerps could respond, they were fast asleep. Jessie quickly hopped off the sub and grabbed Ash. She hopped back onto the sub and they quickly sped away. James asked her why she didn't grab Pikachu at the same time and she replied, "I just want to have a little fun." James wondered if they would be able to defeat the twerps friends when they came looking for him but Jessie didn't respond." They found an abandoned cabin on a small island that they thought would be a nice hideout. James and Meowth tied up Ash so he wouldn't escape when he woke up and Jessie was in a corner on a laptop they used to communicate with the boss. James went over to Jessie and asked her what she was doing but she didn't answer. They walked away and sat down. Meowth told James "somethin seems different about Jessie today. It's almost as if she knows dat we can't lose." James just thought she was just acting overly confident. But there was something about Jessie that they didn't know that they were about to find out. Meanwhile back at the beach, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu were waking up and noticed that Ash was missing. They all knew it had to be Team Rocket but they were surprised that the trio had the nerve to pull a stunt like that. Brock sent out zubat to look for Team Rocket from the air and Misty sent out her water pokemon to look for them by water. They grabbed a boat at a boat rental shop and followed their pokemon. By nightfall they had no luck and it was getting dark. Brock suggested that they look for some land to go ashore until the next morning when they could see where they were going. Misty whispered to herself "Ash, I hope your alright." Even though she thought she'd never admit to Ash that she liked him, she was worried about him. Back at the cabin James and Meowth were fast asleep and were awaken by a flashing light. They were surprised to see Jessie still on the computer. Just then they heard Ash starting to wake up. Jessie slowly got off the computer and went over to the twerp and smiled evilly. Ash was angry and started swearing at her. Jessie just started to chuckle because she was surprised to see him so angry and she never thought he even knew how to swear because he always seemed to be so innocent. She asked, "Are you finished yet?" Ash looked at her "what do you think your trying to pull?" James and Meowth started to ask Jessie the same question because it seemed to be obvious that this wasn't just about Pikachu any more. Jessie just stared at Ash and then after a few minutes she took James and Meowth into another room and they were about to find out something that would really surprise them. Her partners were waiting for an explanation but instead saw a flower vase float across the room. They were puzzled and then the flower vase was followed by an ashtray and then a book. Jessie looked back at James and Meowth and told them that ever since she was a child, she was able to somehow move things with her mind. They asked her if her parents were psychic and she said that she never knew who her father was but if she was, it must have been from her father's side. James started to get angry at Jessie for not telling him about her being psychic before but she said she wasn't that good at it and had been working on her psychic abilities for a while now. Meowth wondered what this had to do with the twerp but she still didn't answer. She was about to leave the room when James stepped in front of her to stop her. She looked at him and was about to try and push him aside using her powers now that she could control them but then stopped and decided to tell him. "James, if we could get the twerp on our side then we would never lose." The two were stunned because they knew that Ash would never listen to them. Jessie just left the room and went back to Ash and tried to scare him by using her psychic powers to move objects all over the room. Ash just looked at her so she went right up to him, stared him in the face and told him "Join up with us boy or else." Ash yelled, "Why do you think I would ever join you? All you ever do is cause trouble." Jessie started ranting about how she wanted to take over Team Rocket, become rich and take over the world. Ash thought she would never stop. When she did, Ash thought to himself, "and I thought I talked too much?" Jessie asked him to join up with them again but no matter how many times she asked him, she always got the same answer. She tried to bribe him into it by telling him that if he join up with them, she would even let him keep his pokemon but he still refused. Then when he started to mention that his friends will come and fine him she told him "I'm not interested in your friends, I'm interested in you." Ash wondered why and she replied that he seemed to never lose a battle. She really didn't know if he was that good or if it was just his dumb luck that helped him out. The sun was starting to come up and she knew that his friends would still be trying to find them. Her partners wondered why she remained so calm. Not far away, Misty and Brock were on the same island that Team Rocket was on. In the daylight they were able to see a lot better and they saw a cabin in the distance so they went to investigate. Brock commented that it looked to be a likely place for Team Rocket to hang out in. He looked around the back and sure enough they were right. He saw Team Rocket's balloon parked outside. Brock called out fortress to break the front door down but when they looked in there was no one there. Misty mentioned, "They must have set this up to distract us." Brock said that they couldn't be far if they were here last night. So they decided to have a look around the island until they came across another cabin. James saw them outside the window and told Jessie. "Just let them come in. We can beat them." James agreed and went to open the door like Jessie told him when Ash started yelling at him "Leave them alone." They ignored him and let their pokemon out of their pokeballs. Misty and Brock were a bit surprised to see them open the door like that but they called out their pokemon and were greeted by a surprise attack from Team Rocket's pokemon. Jessie started to use her powers to stop Misty and Brock from going any further into the cabin. They were thrown back onto the ground and Ash was yelling in the background "stop it! Your going to hurt them." Misty looked somewhat frightened but didn't bother asking about Jessie being psychic since they were in a battle. What she didn't realize is that the battle had been over just after it started. She recalled her pokemon and tried to run past Jessie again, this time Jessie stopping her without her powers. Brock tried to run past but was stopped by James and Meowth. Team Rocket told them to leave but they wouldn't so Jessie used her powers to teleport them elsewhere. Ash started to yell at her "What did you do with them?" Jessie smiled and said, "all I did was teleport them to the next town so they wouldn't be in our way." James knew a boat was required to get there so they wouldn't be back for a while. Jessie tried again to get Ash to join them. "I'll leave your friends alone if you come with us." Ash refused and Jessie was getting impatient by now. Outside the cabin, Pikachu saw all this through the window. He had been hiding there since Misty and Brock got there. Pikachu was holing Ashes pokeballs in his mouth and tried to sneak in through a hole in the wall but Jessie grabbed him wearing rubber gloves and put him in a cage. Jessie was positive she had won so she started laughing at Ash. "I guess I'm to powerful for you, aren't I?" Ash started to yell at her again, this time insulting her beauty. Her face turned red with anger and James was staring. "I don't think you should have done that twerp." Jessie grabbed him by the shirt collar and stared him down. "Listen up twerp! If you ever insult my beauty again, your going to be very sorry." Ash started to cry and Jessie started to laugh again. Knowing that she had succeeded in scaring him, she knew that she could get him to listen to her. James commented "Jessie, you really are going to far." Jessie answered back, "I thought you said he would never listen to us?" "Jessie I didn't think you would go this far to get him to listen." "James stop complaining. Your such a baby." James felt useless to her and just went and sat down across the room. Meowth told Jessie to be easier on him but she thought it was about time that he realized he was in a criminal organization, not a free for all. James knew how power hungry Jessie really was and that she wouldn't stop until she ruled Team Rocket. In the next town, Misty and Brock now realized that Pikachu and Ash's other pokemon were missing too. Misty asked Brock, "Do you think they're going to hurt him?" Brock thought about it and replied "No, but I did overhear them talking about trying to get Ash to join them." Misty knew Ash would never join up with Team Rocket so she wasn't too worried. They went to the boat launch to find a boat that went to the island but none of the boats even went there since it wasn't a regular stop. There was no other way to get there other than if you had your own boat but no one on in the town had their own boat since everyone used the ones at the launch. Brock looked for Officer Jenny so that maybe she could make special arrangements to get to the island but there was no police station in the town because it was so small. Misty and Brock were stuck until they could find another way to the island. Back in on the island, Jessie was trying to find something in their stuff. Jessie found what she was looking for. A picture of a man with dark hair, a woman with redish hair, and a young boy. She went up to Ash and asked him if he knew his father. "The last time is saw him I was too young to remember and my mo told me that he went to become a pokemon trainer." "Well then I have news for you Ash." "What are you talking about, Jessie?" "Do you promise not to try an run away if I untie you?" Ash was hesitant but he really did want to be untied. "Fine, but don't try anything, ok?" "I won't, I just want to tell you something." Ash wondered what she knew about his father so he went and sat down with her. "Your mom was right, your dad did go become a pokemon trainer but what she didn't tell you was that when he realized he was failing miserably, he went back to his mom who owned Team Rocket at the time." Ash was about to talk back when Jessie put her hand on his mouth. She went on to explain that he inherited the organization soon after and is still in charge of Team Rocket. Ash refused to believe this so she showed him the picture she was looking for earlier and Ash wanted to know where she got it. "Now do you believe me?" "Jessie, you were on the computer all night so how am I supposed to know you didn't make it up?" "How could I have made it up when you have the same picture in you wallet?" Ash knew that she was right but what he didn't understand is why his father would be so evil? Jessie told him that she got the picture from his father's office one day when she was snooping through his papers. Ash was extremely angry now and was about to leave to try and bring down the organization his father was in charge of. Jessie stopped him. "And where do you think your going, twerp?" "I want to stop him, Jessie." "Well I want to stop him too but I'm not so stupid as to rush into it like you are, boy." "Are you calling me stupid? You know I hardly ever lose. You said it yourself." "You did need our help several times when you were faced with a bigger situation, didn't you?" Ash went and sat back down. "Oh, and another thing Ash. I don't want to bring down Team Rocket. I want to be in charge. "Why are you telling me when you know I'm going to try and stop you?" "I don't want to trick you into helping me. Even I think that would be wrong. I'm just telling you the truth. I don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to. If you want to help me it's going to be your decision but I'm not letting you go until I take over Team Rocket." Ash was puzzled at why she was telling him that because now he knew what she was trying to do. "Fine I'll help you but only because your actually being truthful for once." "Why are you helping me if you know what I'm doing is wrong?" "Jessie, I never have thought you were that bad. I just think you want to be in control of everything and you don't realize that it would be harder than it seems. In fact, I don't even think that if you were in control you would be that bad. What I'm trying to say is that you're a control freak." Jessie was surprised at what he just said. "Your catching on quick." "Well I'm not as stupid as you think I am." "Alright, I'm sorry for calling you stupid but just don't let the fact that I actually apologized go to your head." Meanwhile Misty and Brock were still trying to find some form of transportation to the island when Misty's cell phone rang. She answered and it was Ash. They were both relieved that he was alright but they didn't understand why he wasn't going to catch up with them. He explained to them what was going on and they couldn't believe what they were hearing. "Ash are you serious?" "Yeah Misty, I'm serious but I need to do this alone, ok?" "Ash this is crazy. Team Rocket is probably lying to you." "Misty, it's ok. I'll be fine." Ash never heard Misty talk like that to him. She seemed so worried. "Misty, I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I love you and I'll be alright." Misty was shocked and didn't know what to say so she started to change the subject by scolding him "don't ever do this to me again, Mr. Ketchum!" Ash was silent so she spoke up "and I love you to Ash. That's why I'm worried." "I know Misty but I'm fine, really." "Where are you anyways?" "I'm on Team Rocket's cell phone, why?" Misty was wondering if they were forcing him to say things. "It's ok. Their actually being nice to me for once." Misty was a relieved a little so she calmed down. "I have to go but I'll call you soon." "Bye Ash." Jessie, James, and Meowth were packing their things to leave. "Thanks for the phone." "No problem. We're ready to get going so grab your stuff." Ash picked up his backpack and hopped into the balloon. After a couple hours they arrived at Team Rocket Headquarters. There were guards everywhere and they had to come up with a plan to get inside without looking suspicious. Jessie came up with another idea. "Why don't we make it look like we're bringing in a prisoner?" Ash didn't like the idea but it seemed to be the best way to get straight to his father's office. Jessie put some shackles on him and was able to walk through the front door like nothing and when they got outside the bosses office, they knew they would have the battle of their lives. Jessie knocked. "Who is it?" "Boss, it's us. Can we come in?" "You fools had better have brought me something worth while!" Jessie opened the door. "Yes we have brought something worth while." Jessie took the shackles off of Ash and Ash's father stared at his son now 7 years older since he saw him last. "Ah, Ash. I see you've come to join us?" "I don't think so dad. I've come to stop you." "And just how are you going to do that." Just then, Jessie launched a surprise psychic attack against her boss but he didn't seem to surprised about it. She wondered why and she got her answer. "Jessie, I see you've finally perfected your special ability." "What are you talking about?" "Her boss launched a psychic attack right back at her and she was stunned. Then it hit her. Her boss was her father! They both knew it now and she wanted to defeat him more than ever. It was a fight that might have never ended until Ash suddenly got a really bad headache and everything started flying around the room. Jessie thought, "Ash must have some psychic abilities too." Just then Giovanni, her boss, realized he was outnumbered and tried to make a run for it. Jessie and James stopped him and held him back. Jessie figured that she could turn him in and not reveal Team Rocket's location if they brought him to the police station disguised as regular citizens. Ash didn't like the idea but he went along with it anyways thinking that he actually owed Jessie that much. After they turned him in, Ash phoned Misty and Brock. They were happy to hear that he was alright but they were worried because Jessie was now in charge of Team Rocket and with her power and determination, she could easily have control over anything she wanted. "Ash, are you coming back with us now?" "I'm going to stay for another week with Team Rocket because I need to rest." "Misty found this could lead to complications and she wanted to get angry at him but then she agreed. "Just don't get into any trouble, ok?" "Don't worry, I won't." During the week Ash was with Team Rocket, Jessie was handling being in charge well, too well. Ash had been able to control his psychic powers but was cautious about what she was up to. "Jessie, I thought you weren't going to send the rest of Team Rocket on any missions?" "I didn't. All I did was give them new ID's so they could get out of trouble with the law and start over." "But their hardened criminals." "Ash, most of them were forced into this organization or had no place to go when they were teenagers so they joined Team Rocket." "But how do you know they're going to change?" Jessie stared at him and he realized what she meant. "You can read peoples' mind's?" "I'm psychic so you figure it out." "But what about the members who won't change?" "Don't worry, I turned them in to the police." Ash knew something was wrong because before they defeated his father, she wanted to control the organization. "Alright Jessie, what's going on?" She had James and Meowth still with her but why would she get rid of the whole organization and shut it down? Jessie now had a big smirk on her face and was staring at him. She pushed a button and the door locked and a large cage trapped him. "I didn't shut down Team Rocket. I just got rid of unnecessary members." "This isn't funny, Team Rocket." They just laughed at him. "Why are you doing this when I helped you out?" They started to taunt him. "Jessie, Your acting like this is a big joke." She went up to him and stared him down. "I'm just trying to show you who's boss." "Fine, I understand. Now stop this." She just looked at him. "I really don't think you understand because your still being demanding." Ash didn't know why she was doing this and he knew they had absolutely no reason to do this to him because he helped her out and did everything she told him to do. Jessie put her hand through the bars and tried to grab him by the shirt collar again. Ash bit her. "That hurt you little brat!" "James could see that Jessie was getting out of control and letting being in charge go to her head with all of the power she had now. "Jessie, stop it." "Don't tell me what to do, James. You know I never take orders from anyone." James didn't like to see her behave this way so he decided to speak up. "Jessie, I don't know why you acting this way but it's really starting to scare me and I'm only telling you this because I love you." Jessie paid attention to him this time. "James, your acting mature for a change." "Don't you realize with the way you treat me, I was too shy to tell you how much I care. How am I supposed to have the nerve to tell you when I'm afraid your going to tell me off?" Jessie couldn't believe what James had just said. "I love you too James. I just always want to be in control of everything and everyone. In the past I had several boyfriends who hurt me so I didn't want to let I happen again. Besides I've had this controlling personality since I was a child. I'm nice a lot of times but I hate it when I'm not in charge." James looked into her beautiful sapphire blue eyes. "Jessie, I'm a very timid person and I thought you would know that I'd never hurt you." Ash interrupted them by making an extremely inappropriate comment. "So James, that means your not gay?" Now James being the shy person out of Team Rocket, started to tell Ash off and cuss at him. Jessie never saw him act that way so she made a rude comment of her own. "James, you finally are acting your age." James just ignored it and kept on yelling at Ash for insulting him. Now James was starting to get violent and Jessie was getting angry. "James, knock it off!" He looked at her and said, "see Jessie, you really do like it better when I'm shy." She knew that it was true, she did like it him to be just himself but she also wanted to teach Ash a lesson. "James, I'm sorry but I really feel like I need to show the twerp a thing or two." James just looked at her and knew she was being ruthless and wouldn't back down so he decided to take Meowth and leave until she cooled down. Misty was wondering how Ash was doing back at Team Rocket Headquarters. She knew that if Jessie got Ash, she wouldn't let him leave. Jessie was a person not to be messed around with because she had the nastiest temper Misty ever knew. She thought, "If only Ash would realize what Jessie's doing to him." She knew by now, Jessie would have everything in Team Rocket under control. When Ash phoned her, he had mentioned about him and Jessie having the same father. Misty realized that if she got the psychic powers from her father's side that Ash must have gotten powers from his father's side too. Jessie advanced so quickly in using psychic abilities and they were so strong. Brock was starting to worry too. "Misty, I think Jessie has more planned than just taking over Team Rocket." "What do you mean, Brock?" "Did you see the front page of the newspaper today?" "No, I didn't. Why?" "It says Team Rocket has been disbanded and they've arrested the strongest members." Misty was scared now. "Ash must be in danger!" Brock agreed, "I figured that too after I saw the morning paper." Back in Jessie's office, Ash was trying to figure out what Jessie wanted with him. Jessie said she was leaving for a while but she didn't say where she was going. So many thoughts raced through his mind. "She can't be doing this just to be in control. Is it my psychic abilities? She's so powerful it's almost as if she wasn't human." He was looking for something to pick the lock on the cage door with. Lucky enough, he found a hair pin that Jessie left behind. He tried to pick the lock but as soon as he touched the door he got electrocuted. He screamed so loud that Jessie could hear him outside about 100 meters away from the building. She smiled and said to herself, "I always knew he was stupid." She went back into her office and found that Ash had gotten out of the cage but didn't get out of her office. "What's wrong twerp? Did the electricity weaken you?" Ash was sitting against the wall on the floor and tried to get up but he could barely stand. Jessie started to hover over him. "What's your problem? I thought after helping you out, you would be nicer to me." "I never said I was going to be nice to you. I just said I would leave your friends alone and let you keep your pokemon." Ash knew Jessie was more powerful than him and that she could beat him without breaking a sweat. "Jessie, how come you can teleport and I can't?" Jessie smiled again. "I have a lot more experience than you. I knew it would be easy for me to overpower you because you haven't had any practice at all with your powers. You do have the ability to be extremely powerful though, in fact you could become just as powerful as me but only if you stay here." Ash got even angrier with her. "You don't want to just help me with my powers, you want to control me too. All you ever wanted was to get back at me and when you found out that I had strong psychic abilities, you wanted to make sure that I wouldn't overpower you." Jessie realized that he was getting a lot smarter in the time he had spent with her. "Well you know I don't want you out of anyone to overpower me." Ash couldn't stand this much longer. "What makes you think I would even want to overpower you? If you would just be nicer to me then maybe I would listen to you. Did you ever even try to be nice to me?" Jessie looked him in they eyes. She noticed that tears were rolling down his face. She was about to tell him that his little crying act won't get him anywhere but then she decided not to say anything. She thought to herself, "Maybe I did go a little too far?" She knelt down and started to talk to him. "Ash, I was just messing with you. You've known me long enough to know that I have a weird sense of humor." Ash just looked at her, not wanting to trust her. Jessie extended her hand to help him up but it took him a while before he grabbed it. "You don't trust me anymore, do you?" "Well you obviously are more evil than my father, that's for sure." Jessie unlocked the door. "You want to go, then go!" Ash was about to leave but hesitated for a few minutes and then said something Jessie never thought he would say. "Do you mind if I stay here a bit longer?" "Ash, what do you want? You wanted to leave and now you want to stay?" Misty and Brock were on their way to Team Rocket Headquarters, where they thought Jessie would be. "I should have stopped him from going. HE made a big mistake in getting involved in all this." "I know you're worried about Ash but we need to come up with a plan if we want to get him out of there." Misty knew Brock was right but right now all she wanted to do was barge into the building and get Ash out of there. She knew it wouldn't be that simple though. Jessie was wondering why Ash was so hard to understand. "Your right, I am very evil but that doesn't mean that I want to be cruel. I actually want to be nice. The only problem I have is wanting control all the time." Ash noticed that she was calming down. "I never said I would stay with you and I never said I wouldn't. You really don't need to be so hard on me. I actually was thinking of staying with you before you pulled this stunt. I don't understand why my being here means so much to you considering you hate me so much." Jessie had her back turned to him and spoke barely loud enough for him to hear. "I don't hate you and I really do want to help you with your powers but because I'm evil, I know that I will be a control freak with you." Ash went up to her and looked her in the face. "I know that already. I'm just trying to say that because you were being nicer to me than usual when I was helping you, I became a little attached to you." Jessie had never had anyone be that nice to her, especially when she was so mean to them. She was trying to hold it in but she started to cry. "Jessie, did I say something wrong?" Jessie grabbed him and pulled him close to her in a hug. She whispered in his ear, "I'm sorry." Ash was a little overthrown by her actions. "It's alright. Just try not to do this again." Misty and Brock were about to break the door to Jessie's office down when Ash opened it. He was surprised to see them there and they were just as surprised to see him. "Ash did she hurt you?" "No, I'm fine." Misty wondered what she did but didn't ask since he probably had enough for one day. Just then Jessie came out. Misty and Brock backed away but they noticed that Ash didn't. Ash followed her back into the office. He knew what she wanted. "Ash, if you stay here, I'm not going to hold you back from your pokemon journey. I may be controlling but I'm not that bad." Ash knew she was trying to be nicer so he agreed. "I never thought you would actually want to be friends with me." Jessie didn't reply. She just went back to her computer and started typing away as if he wasn't even there. James and Meowth walked in to find out that Jessie had cooled down. "Jess, I thought you was gonna lose it for a while." With the comment that Meowth just made, Jessie smacked him upside the head and went back to work. James had the feeling that she wouldn't get that out of control again but Ash wasn't so sure about that. Misty and Brock just stared in disbelief at how Ash could put up with the way she must have treated him, still trust her, and on top of it, want to live with her. James was trying to get Jessie's attention but it took her almost ten minutes to notice. "Sorry James, I was just a bit caught up in my work." She got up and they both went into the back bedroom. "Jessie, thank you for not completely losing it." "James, I was never going to lose it." That night they fell asleep in each other's arms and both slept in until lunchtime the next day. Ash and Misty were in a bedroom across the hall from the office and she was happy to be alone with him without being disturbed. "Ash, I do love you. Never forget it."
