The Days That Will Come, The Day That Never Came Chapter 1: Spy By: animeinsanity Ages: the young spy: 16 (I won't tell you who it is or it will ruin the fun! ^o^ General ************************************************************************ " What the- Hey you, come back here!" a Rocket guard shouted at a dark figure as his teammate fell down, unconscious. Panting, the person dressed in black slipped into a dark alley on the edge of the city. The midnight darkness provided perfect cover for him as he, the intruder of Team Rocket HQ 3, quickly outran his pursuer. ' There's a building!' The intruder made a powerful leap. Black boots touched the roof of a 7-stories apartment, and the Rocket guard looked in awe at the incredible feat. The person dressed in black threw a loose stone with precise aiming, leaving the last Rocket guard standing knocked out. " That was close, too close," admitted the trespasser as he took off the black clothe that covered his nose and mouth. The intruder was at least 6 ft. tall. He had a lean body, not bulky, not too slim, perfect for a spy. As the young spy (who looked at least 16 or so) threw down his midnight black helmet, he revealed a mess of scraggly, raven black hair tied in a ponytail. Two hazel brown eyes scanned the city for any signs of danger. Even though the building was only 7-stories high, he still had a pretty good view. Saffron City was in the usual, light displaying city category. Shops flash their beautiful signs so the pretty lights would draw shoppers, and the shoppers purchase something inside. Company buildings had all of the lights on, illuminating each and every window of the buildings. The Pokemon Center was busy as all ways. The spy can almost see the Pokemon trainers inside and a bustling Nurse Joy with her assistant, Chansey. Tearing his eyes away from the sight, he turned to look at the Saffron City gym, which sit lonely in the outskirts of town. He smiled, remembering the time when he was nothing but a young novice trainer who wants to capture every single Pokemon and claim the title of the World's Greatest Pokemon Master. He still wants to now, but in order to preserve that dream, he must protect it. The young spy's face darkened. It was his love for Pokemon that drove him into the spy idea, and he wasn't regretting it. He saw the horrors of what Team Rocket can create if no one is watching them for long periods of time. ' Poor Mewtwo, I wonder where he is right now...' " You're still standing up there? Sooner or later you're going to catch a cold. That'll teach you to stand there for three hours straight!" a voice said behind him, interrupting his thoughts. A creature stepped out of the shadows. It was a Pikachu, but not an ordinary one. His yellowish fur seems to sparkle with electricity. A scar ran through its left eye. The black pupils of the Pikachu stared at his trainer. " What are you waiting for? Come one!" the yellow, ferocious-looking rodent urged impatiently in a surprisingly fluent human language. Red cheeks began to crackle. " Don't make me Thundershock you." " Now I wish I never taught you how to speak," the spy joked. Then came the Thundershock. " Alright, already. I'm coming." The duo snuck down into the basement of the apartment. Using Flash, the Pikachu lit up the room. " Okay, I'm positive that you've got the paper, correct?" " Correct." " We should read it here. I doubt that tomorrow will have break time for us." " Good idea." The secret agent gently unfolded a piece of paper that made him risk his life for this night. " I believe that Team Rocket will actually go for it. The good thing is that they can't translate the words, so we're a little bit safer now." The spy let his finger trace a route on the piece of paper, which turns out to be an ancient map. His Pokemon traced another route with his paw. " This is the closest one." The spy nodded. Then Pikachu decided it is time to get into the real action. They will have to beat Team Rocket. Now. " Let's go, Pikachu." " Right behind you Ash!"
