reports

Victor Samson sat at his desk in the underground. In his sweaty hands lay a text. A report proving that he was doomed. The lights around him flashed and went out. The high pixeled screen on his wall would of illuminated the room as it turned on by itself, it didn't because on they screen was pure blackness that seemed to pull all the light to it. A voice filled the room.

"YOU HAVE FAILED ME." The voice boomed loudly.

"No, master the machine, I had no idea that two.." Blackness enveloped him.

"YOU HAVE FAILED ME." Victon tried to get away. All there was was blackness. No touch, Just pure blackness, and a voice that always said the same shaming words.

Alexis watched from the coffee machine her boss begin to throb and shake on the floor. She knew this would happen. Somehow the first machine was destroyed, the second machine would not meet the same fate. She would make sure of it. Victor long gave up that project saying his two precious machines had no need for another. She began to walk to the twelth lab. Before they threw all of the project away, she and some friends volentereed to continue it. Now most of the processes were completed. The final step would be taken now. She entered the code and stepped though the dual steel doors.

A twenty-ish red haired male in a lab coat saw her come down the catwalk.

"Hey Lex." The male said approaching her.

"Hi Rob." She said in reply after walking down the bright orange stairs. "We ready?" She said in excitment. She looked at the second machine, all it was now was an enhanced human skeleton, nothing else. Soon, instead of looking like a dead body it would be alive.

"Yeah," Robert replied, "this is the big one." The rest of the people nodded. Alexis walked to a metal table and layed on it. Two others in lab coats stapped her on with metal cuffs. A laser hung over her head. Rob went over to the main computer and gave a thumbs up. All of the people here were friends. She volunteered to give the project a base. It changed much from Victor's idea of metal, no this machine was to be flesh. New technology was pushed to the limits, new concepts. If this worked everyone there would become idols of the other scientists, forever.

Her friends Kara and Teri moved the second machine over beside her. A laser lay on top of that as well. She gulped as her best friend pressed the start button.

The laser began to slowly trace her body, illuminating one small line at a time. Going from head to toe, over and over. The beam of light gave a welcome heat to her body. After the third it slowed and the second laser started. As it sluggisly went over the robot. As it went over it the bones became covered in flesh and clothing. Her flesh and clothing. Dwon to the eyelashes, it was a perfect copy of her. The machine worked. Then when it finished scientist unfasted her and sangs cheers of sucess. She ran to Rob and hugged him. He hugged back.

She looked at her sleeping clone on the table. She looked under a duplicate of her tank top that was covered by a lab coat and felt those geneticaly enforced bones under skin. The project was designed to be formatted for a no metal and a total human body, hers. Rob tried to pull down the pants, but she stopped him.

"what?" He said smiling, "She will wake up soon, we should get her up there and erase memory of this place. He said then going to read the bioscan report. "Good work guys, were done. Three cheers for Lexi!" Rob said placing the report down on the metal table. The group obliged and began to pull out the alcohol. Rob made way to her.

"Lex?" He said shifting his feet uneasily.

"Yeah?" She answered hoping she was right.

"Would you like to, you know, umm, us time?" He said stumbling.

"You mean a date?" She asked holding her laughter.

"Yeah, that's it. So yes?" He asked nervously.

She enveloped her arms around him with a kiss.

"I'll take that as a yes." He said staring into her passionate green eyes.
