Misty woke up in a comfortable wooden bed. She looked at the diglets in the blanket. Last night she remembered falling asleep in a sleeping bag with Ash snoring extra loudly beside her. She found this room looking oddly familiar. She got out of bed and felt different. Too different. When she looked in the mirror, she saw her hair black and unkempt, her skin tanner, her eyes gold brown, her clothes changed, she saw Ash five hours before they met.

Okay Misty, calm down, may be a dream. She pinched herself. Not dream, what should I do? Misty thought. Nice seemed to be Ash the day they met and he started his pokemon journey about two years ago. Of course she was herself then, not Ash. As she looked at the clock and remembered what Ash told here of his past. She ran down the stairs in a blur past his Mom who seemed to be cooking something wonderful. She jumped over the fence, fell and tumbled down a fairly large hill, stood up and kept running toward the only laboratory with an over sized windmill. She wondered if the same thing happened to Ash.

Ash lay under a tree snuggled warm deep in a sleeping bag. He awoke on the hard ground not so fully comforted by his sleeping bag's fluffy and pink shape. He found he was in Misty's bag. She'll get out that mallet if she finds out. Ash thought worriedly as he wiggled out. He looked the find his belt but it wasn't by him as it usually was. He couldn't even find his other stuff, pikachu it seemed ran off. This must be a joke, he thought. He rolled up her bag and decided to see were he was. It wasn't the same woods as before, it was familiar, he got it. This is were he and Misty first met. He saw the trees, pond, fishing rod. a bike that looked ghastly familiar, Misty's stuff. Wait where is my stuff, If her's are her, and how did she get that bike? He told himself Misty hid his stuff after who knows how they got here. She must of found the bike. He looked in that pool he fell into long ago. He saw not what he expected, Misty's reflection. He turned around and she wasn't behind him. He looked closer and felt himself. "Oh shit." he said looking at his best friend feel herself and the lack of seeing himself do the same.

After a few minutes of panic, he pieced together that this was that fateful day he met two great friends. He decided to wait for them to come in the pond, or maybe Misty in his body. He hoped so, it would be really bad without her. He reached into his new backpack and began training her pokemon. After all he still wanted to be a pokemon master, so why not be one of water. While they were doing some nice excises in the pond, he went fishing.

"Ash, I'm sorry but you there are none of the basic three pokemon left." Oak said to the unusually giddy Ash. Misty was glad about this she always wanted Ash's pikachu. "There is one pokemon left though." Misty tried to show surprise.

"Oh, what is it?" Misty asked even though she knew the answer and was very perky about it.

"Your new partner shall be, pikachu." He said taking the pikachu out of it's ball. Pikachu looked at Misty and immediately smiles. Misty who with two years of knowing him, tickled it in the stomach and turned to Oak. "You seem to know alot about pikachu's already." he chuckled.

"Thank you, professor." Misty said kindly as she walked out the door. Pikachu lay on her head smiling. She stopped mid way and saw Gary. She realized he was as arrogant in the beginning as ever. She walked up to him and the cheerleaders stopped cheering and began talking about the other most important thing in the universe, nail polish. "Gary, what did you get?" She asked him though she knew.

"A good one, from my grandpa." the kid said looking as cool as possible in a purple shirt. "Well smell you later, loser." He said as the cheerleaders closed around him and began cheering again. How low. Misty thought, following someone who wore berry pink lipstick, a purple shirt, and was acting manly, in other words like an idiot, at the same time.

Misty never got Gary's inability to insult people, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he said smell, he couldn't smell gunpowder even after he got shot. As quickly as she could, she left Pallet Town with extra underwear, food, and a newfound appreciation for coconuts.

On the trail she saw a Sparrow. Remember Ash's Story The sparrow seemed though to begin attacking pikachu without provoking though. Misty in haste jumped on the sparrow to save pikachu from harm, She then learned to not make noise when you are by a large nest. A titanic wave of sparrow in a deafening roar rose in attack, running though tree, jumping gullies and streams, she gave all her might to lose them. At the edge of cliff, that seemed to be a painful fall, where she told pikachu to do a Thunder. Pikachu who wondered why he was saving his energy agreed.

Ash was checking himself out when he saw tremendous bolt of lightning radiate from the sky. That looked painfully familiar He knew that could only come from pikachu, his pikachu. He waited for them to come. He figured that meant Misty was him. He sat down a saw he caught a nibble. Thinking he caught that gyrados at long last, he pulled up the heavy weight to see, himself holding pikachu. Ah, that's how it looked.

He poured more hot water on Misty after he nursed pikachu who also happily seemed to remember everything, he explained his situation to Pikachu who sat on his shoulder and played with his ponytail until he gave him some ketchup Misty had. He saw Misty was waking up.

"Mist.. Ash?" Ash said correcting himself as he spoke to her.

"It's Misty, she said sitting up. "You're me?"

"Yeah, Pikachu is himself though." Ash said as Pikachu began trying to raise his now pretty low level by attacked everything he could find.

"So what do we do now?" She asked adjusting her new league cap.

"I think we should go on the same journey we did before." Ash said.

"And meet everyone?" Misty asked, "Ash, that could take awhile."

"Then we better start." Ash said standing up. He reached to touch his hat but, released it wasn't there.
