Number Seven: The Battle of the Beedrill II: The Beedrill Symphony “Flamethrower! Gust! Quick Attack!” I commanded to all three of my Pokemon. Char the Charmander immediately jumped in and burned seven Beedrill with his Flamethrower attack. Biter the Rattata jumped in front of Wing and shot himself into the air, hitting the Beedrill hard with his Quick Attack. After Biter started up, Wing flew behind. He charged upward, trying to attack the better flyers. He then sped around, tackling a handful of Beedrills. More and more fell. Then, Wing used Gust. He flapped his wings hard, and all the high-flying Beedrills flew away. Only eight remained. “Okay, Char! Try and finish em’ off with another Flamethrower!” I commanded. Char reared up, the eight Beedrills buzzed around, making music. It was beautiful music. It sounded like a symphony of their own; a Beedrill symphony! “Attack!” I yelled. Before the attack could be carried out, Char started to glow brightly. He then got bigger and turned red. His stomach turned yellow and a bone grew out of the back of his head. His flame was shown brighter now. “Charmeleon.” He growled. “A Charmeleon!” I squealed. I would have ran up and hugged him, but the Beedrill would have stung me. “Go!” I commanded again. Char unleashed a huge Flamethrower, burning the remaining Beedrill. They all fell to the floor; burned to a crisp. I turned to Biter and Wing. I held out my Pokeballs. “Return!” I said. The two energized back in. I put the balls on my belt. I ran to my new Charmeleon and hugged him. “Char.” He croaked again. “Good job, I love you.” I pointed my Pokeball at him again and let him go back in. After safe and resting in his ball, I put the ball on my belt. “Well.” A voice said behind me. I whirled around, scared to death. This was a boy. His name was Cody. This was the jerk who lived near me back in Viridian. He had chosen a Squirtle while I had chosen a Charmander. TO BE CONTINUED IN… … The Return of Cody
