Everything You Want

Characters aren't mine!!!

He had finally done it. He had finally obtained the joy of becoming a master. Though not the best, he treasured the moments, minus the bubbling reporters who seemed to always find him. Misty, the only trainer now with him on his journey, had been very excited for him at points, and when Ash retorted her "It's just luck Ash" to her, her face paled and she diverted her eyes.
Today they had just escaped a crowd of reporters,by far the largest yet. Ash, being his usual boastful self, decided to start a conversation.
"I must be pretty popular back in Pallet!"
"Luck," Misty muttered.
Ash flickered his attention at her and glared. Misty sat down on a rock and Ash grinned.
"Well, I must have a lot of luck because now, I'm an Official Pokemon Master!"
Misty rolled her eyes and sighed. "For once in your life Ash Ketchum, stop bragging." Ash noticed that her comment had no sarcasm, and was least of all happy. Her face had paled again, and this time she looked...scared?
"What's wrong Mist,?"
"What! Nothing! Just cause Misty doesn't want to talk makes something wrong with her!" Pikachu backed behind Ash and Ash stated, "You know Misty, if you're mad that you haven't gotten that much training in it's OK..."
"Why would I be mad about that!? It's not like I was in the league or anything!"
Ash pointed a finger. "Misty, are you jealous?"
Misty ulltimitly ignored the statement, or tried, but her emotions got the best of her.
"Why would I be jealous of you!?"
"You tell me,"
Misty stood up and moved to Ash.
"I'm not jealous of you!"
"I think you are!"
"Am not!"
"Are Too!"
Not!'
"Too!"
"are not!'
"Are too!!"
Misty was angry, and Ash was groing very annoyed with her.
"All, I did was fulfill my dream! Maybe you might do yours, but it's not my fault!!"
"It's never your fault Ash! Everythings always mine!"
"If you're so mad, why don't you try to be more like me!?"
Misty didn't even hesitate for her next comment.
"Why would I want to be like you!?
All you are is a lucky little kid from Pallet who could care less about anything but his Pokemon! I You won on pure luck and you're Pokemon aren't special!!"
That stung. With one quick movement Misty was knocked to the ground, her cheek still stinging with the imprint of Ash's hand.
"How dare you insult me and my pokemon! If you wanna play that way than FINE!!"
Misty put a hand on her stinging cheek and tears started to well up in her eyes.
"Do you know what you are Misty? Do you!? You're a scared little Pokemon trainer who's so afraid she won't make it in the Pokemon world that she pity's others who have and encases herself in a pathetic tomboy shell!!"
Misty clung to every word and burst into tears. She buried her face in her hands, and felt a pair of arms grip her from behind. They held onto her waste, and pulled her back into a strong embrace. It was Ash. He looked a little guilty from his comment but wasn't about to take it back. Misty buried her face against his chest and sobbed wrecklessly.
Ash soothed her back, and after a while, her crying died down to sobs and sniffs. Ash was still mad about the comment she gave him, but was more worried on getting Misty to stop crying.
"...Ash...?"
He brought his attention to the muffled sound. "What?"
"Promise me you'll hold me forever..."
Ash was a little startled by her question.
"Wha-What do you mean Mist,?"
After a moment she lifted her head, witch still had tears streaming down it.
"You know, that song...Everything You Want?" She managed to break a sob afterward.Ash nodded and Misty stated the words.
"He's everything inside...of you...that..you wish you could be, he says all the right things...at all...ASH, I THINK I'M FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOU!"
She broke out in tears again, and once more Ash allowed her to cry onto him.
Waiting for an answer she looked up. "You know what Misty? I think I've already fallen for you," She smiled and leaned her forehead down on his shoulder. She heard him chuckle and tap her shoulder. As she lifted her head in response, Ash pulled her into a light kiss. She wrapped her arms around him andhe did the same, only letting loose her ponytail in the process. Her Red hair fell around her face, and Ash broke the kiss, afraid he might have broken some, 'Misty Rule'.
Misty still had her eyes closed, as if she were treasuring every touch.
"Misty?"
"Hmmm?"
Ash laughed. "Just makin' sure you're still alive down there,"
Her smile got larger, and faded away. "Ash, I'm really sorry about what I said, I didn't mean any of it,"
Ash's reply was stern. "You didn't Misty and you were wrong. I'm glad you admit that. I'm sorry about what I said too,"
She shook her head. "No, don't be. You were right...You're everything I wish I could be, but I know I'll never be as good. I'll always just be a fiery, scrawny, red-head tomboy..."
Ash squeezed her a little. "At least you'll be my fiery, scrawny, red-head tomboy,"
She smiled and pulled her self to Ash's height, giving him a small kiss n the lips. "What will we do now?"
Ash laughed. "First we'll go have some fun in Pallet, I'll help you train, and maybe we'll have a whole other journey by then,"
With his last statement, he pulled Misty into a tight embrace, and when their lips met, they didn't plan to let go.
