Disclaimer/Note: First off I don't own pokemon, S Club 7 or any of their songs. Not that's news. Anyway I'm only writing this cuz I got writers block and I thought that one of their(S Club 7) songs would fit in a story like this. This story switches between Ash's POV, Misty's POV and third person. So here's my short AAMRN, Campfire Confessions.

Campfire Confessions


We had been walking for hours and we finally decided to take a break. Of course Brock's cooking was delicious and we all enjoyed it, even my buddy Pikachu (but not without drenching the chicken with ketchup). It was about 9:00 so Brock decided to go to sleep. I wanted to make some marshmallows by the campfire, so I stayed up. I asked Misty, the beautiful redheaded, blue-eyed girl I had a crush on since we first met, if she wanted to join me.

What is love cuz baby I don't know

She agreed and I got the marshmallows out of Brock's bag. While Misty was waiting patiently by the fire, I thought maybe now that Pikachu and Brock were asleep, I could confess my feelings to Misty.

I got a funny felling in my heart

It was settled. I would tell her tonight.


What was taking Ash so long? How long does it take to get some freakin' marshmallows? I stopped thinking like that. He was the boy I had a crush on. I couldn't think like that about him.

If this is love it feels like butterflies

He wasn't exactly perfect, but who is? I loved him and always have, since day one, even though I didn't know it at the time. But that night I knew. I loved him with all my heart and tonight I would tell him.

So tell me baby is this how it starts

Tonight for sure, by the campfire.


Wow, she looked beautiful. The glow of the fire made her smooth skin shine. I picked up a couple of sticks and walked over to the log where Misty was sitting. I gave her her stick and a couple of marshmallows and put the bag down. She thanked me in a soft, cheery voice. Though most of the time she was blowing up in my face about being lost, her voice was beautiful. Everything about her was beautiful.


Ash and I were roasting our marshmallows when I realized, mine was on fire. I had been staring at the handsome boy next me, sitting so close we nearly touched each other, that I forgot about my marshmallow. I took it out of the fire and blew on it until it was out. I had a coal black marshmallow, but I didn't care. I was sitting next to the love my life. He was nice enough to offer his. How romantic…


I waited for her to finish. I'd do anything for her. She thanked me. I pointed to some marshmallow on her face. She blushed and tried to wipe it off. She looked a little embarrassed afterward.

"You're so beautiful."
Misty looked somewhat shocked at the comment.
"Thanks" she said blushing.
"Misty, there's something I've been meaning to tell you."
"Me too Ash."
"I love you…" they both said at the same time. They both blushed.
"Really?" asked Misty.
"With all my heart Misty. Ever since…"
"Day one" Misty finished. "Me too. And…"
There faces were getting closer to each other's.
"I…"
Even closer now,
"Always…will…"
Their lips met. Their first kiss.

I know I've never felt like this before

Our kiss seemed to last forever. The taste of this sweet young girl, the girl I loved for as long as I had known her. It was entrancing. I was beginning to run out of breath. So was she. We stopped for minute. But we needed more. It was the greatest felling I ever felt. We kissed again.

We were still kissing. He was caressing my back and I stroked my hand through his messy hair. I knocked his hat off and he put down my hair. We were in deep now. I knew we loved each other and always would.

I held her tight in my arms. I didn't ever want to let go, but I was running out breath again. We stopped, and looked deeply into each other's eyes. They were the most beautiful blue eyes. We got closer and closer and kissed again.

They sat there on the log by the fire after that kiss. Nothing would tear them apart. Nothing. They hugged each other for the longest time.

"I love you" said Ash.
"I love you too" replied Misty.
They snuggled by the fire and fell asleep, dreaming about each other the whole time.

Note: Like I said, I only wrote this cuz I got writers block and too many ideas to write about. I doubt you even know who S Club 7 is. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it.
