Meowth gulped quietly, and Jesse and James waited for their boss to speak. They knew that their day had come to say good-bye to Team Rocket forever. “I’m not pleased with your efforts as Team Rocket members. All your previous efforts have failed, and I’m sad to say that your branch of Team Rocket has almost destroyed everything that early Team Rocket members have ever worked for,” the Boss said sternly. “What does this mean for us?” Jesse asked even though she already knew the answer she would get. “You’re fired!” the Boss said. “But, Boss, you can’t! We’ve worked for you for years!” James said. “I live here! This is my home! Where else could we go?” Meowth exclaimed. “Well, Meowth, you can stay with one of them. But you all need to leave for your homes immediately,” the Boss said casually as he waved them out of his office. “Oh, don’t forget to turn in your uniforms and weapons.” Jesse, James, and Meowth stopped walking once they were outside of the Boss’s office. They all stared at each other. “James, I would like Meowth to stay with you for now,” Jesse said. “Why, aren’t you coming with us to see where we are going to live now?” James asked. “No, I am going to return home to my parents,” Jesse said. “But I thought you hated your parents, Jesse,” James said. “I still hate them. But I know that they would like to see me after all these years,” Jesse said as they began to walk toward a flight of stairs. They silently walked down them. They finally reached the service desk where a young girl with blonde hair sat frowning a computer. “Oh, hello, how may I help you?” she asked. “Yes, I would like my thing from room #124 sent down,” Jesse said. “Oh, I’m sorry, but there is nothing in that room right now,” the girl said checking the computer screen. “What? My stuff is supposed to be up there,” Jesse said, staring at the girl. “Well, I had a guard clean out the rooms #122, #123, and #124. All of you were fired. Your stuff should be here,” she said pointing to a luggage cart that was loaded with suitcases. “None of that is my stuff,” Jesse said. “I’m sorry,” the girl said. “But anyway, please go change into a different outfit other than a uniform.” “I have nothing else to change into,” Jesse said. “I don’t care,” the girl said. Jesse leaned forward getting ready to strangle the girl. “Jesse, don’t hurt her. Just change into some of my jeans and grab one of my t-shirts,” James said, pointing toward the luggage cart. “But I won’t see you for a very long time,” Jesse said. “Yeah, but this way I’ll make sure that I see you again,” James said. “I’ll mail them to you,” Jesse said, unzipping his suitcase and taking out a pair of his blue jeans with holes in the knees and a red t-shirt. She changed quickly in a nearby bathroom, and she handed her uniform to the girl. “I’ll see you some other time,” Jesse said. “E-mail me,” James said. “I know you remember it.” Jesse hugged Meowth and James. She also kissed James on the cheek. She walked toward the door and walked through the door she had just opened. Jesse slammed the door of the Team Rocket Head Quarters. Rage flowed through her. Her whole life had been ripped away, and now she would have to return to her parents. She did not want to go, but she knew it was the right thing to do.
