Diana says, "We must go to him, if we hurry, we may be able to get to him before he gets back." "Let's take the magnet train. It'll be faster," Faulkner suggests. They hurry on the magnet train and once they get to Goldenrod City, they fly to Cherrygrove on Diana's Dragonair. They go to the pokemon center and once they get there, they ask people if they know where Wingtaker might be. Faulkner reports to Diana, "Most people say that he's usually around the lake, so we had better go there." Diana nods and they head toward the lake. "Okay, come out here, Wingtaker," Diana loudly said. "Heh, so you know of me," an unfamiliar, late teen sounding voice said. A man with a black cowboy hat, sunglasses, and a tan trench coat steps out of the shade of a tree. He has black hair, but they don't see his eyes. "What can I do for you?" Wingtaker asks sarcastically. Faulkner replies, "Where are they?!" Wingtaker is confused. He says, "I don't know what you're talkin' about." Diana steps forth, "You know," she said. "No. I don't," Wingtaker replies. Faulkner shouts, "Where are my pokemon?!" Wingtaker is shocked. He says, "They were stolen?!" "Well, yeah! Otherwise we wouldn't be here. We think you're the thief!" Faulkner said, furiously. Wingtaker replies simply with, "Well, I didn't. Too hard for me to do." Diana asks, "How do we know we can trust you? How can we be sure you're not lying?" There was a slight silence and then, Wingtaker pulled down his shades, revealing his surprisingly gentle brown eyes. "Good question. I guess you can't," Wingtaker said, a little nervously. "No, you can't," Faulkner said, "Unless you can prove yourself." "Well now, that's a good idea," Wingtaker said, irritated, "But I already told you, I'm not crazy enough to go and steal a gym leader's pokemon." "That doesn't mean we can trust you!" Faulkner exclaimed, glaring at him. Diana butted in, "Quit creating senseless quarrels. It appears we are at an impass, and therefore must settle it." "How would that be?" Wingtaker asks. "I'm not sure, but Faulkner," she said, turning toward him, "I think he's telling the truth." "What?! You're not serious!" Faulkner replied. "No. In fact, when I was checking his data files earlier at my laptop, it showed nothing of stealing from anyone past New Bark Town," Diana explained, nodding at Wingtaker. Wingtaker said, "See, I told you I wasn't that crazy." Diana continued, "I found out that it might have been someone we think is on our side." There was a puzzled silence for about ten seconds. Wingtaker and Faulkner say at the same time, "Go on." Diana continues, "Well…"
