Disclaimer: Please DO NOT send me e-mails asking me if these are true. I have made this up, thinking that it was an interesting thought. It would be a miracle if I guessed correctly. Oh, and I don’t own pokemon or any of the characters. Although at times I wish I did. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We all know Mew as the small, cat-like pokemon that may be the rarest of them all. Well, here is a little story that you didn’t know. Mew as a young hatchling was an outcast. It had no friends, just because it was a one of a kind pokemon. Mew was always picked on and laughed at. One day, Mew decided to leave that place he knew not well, and so it did. Mew left out, out into the ocean in a small cavern. It lived in this small, underwater cavern for several years, meditating, building it’s psychic powers. Mew had almost no contact with other pokemon or humans. If it did, it would quickly teleport away, before the person or pokemon could see Mew. Mew was a friendly, fun, playful pokemon. But because of it’s childhood, Mew never wanted contact with anything. Being a sly, quick thinker, Mew was eventually able to see what was in the outside world. What had changed, what was going on in the world. Mew still didn’t want contact with anyone or anything, so it could see the world, but must be prepared for a quick escape if needed. Mew also loved to laugh and loved to play. Anything Mew hadn’t seen, it would try to find a way to play with it. This is the reason, though, of how it was first discovered. Mew was in Viridian Forest, in search of anything to get rid of it’s tremendous amount of boredom. Mew noticed a shiny object in the distance. It came closer, and was much farther away than it seemed. Mew picked up the shiny object once there. It was a coin. A very shiny coin. Mew gazed at the coin’s shiny surface and was in awe of it’s beauty. Mew kept looking at it, not noticing where it had ventured to. Mew was not in a forest, but in a town. Mew had gone straight into Viridian City without noticing. A passing trainer noticed the small, pink pokemon and didn’t recognize it. The trainer sent out a Nidorano. This had caught Mew’s attention. Mew had a huge sweat drop upon it’s innocent, cute face. Taking the coin, Mew swiftly floated away, frightened. This trainer, named Richy, drew this undiscovered pokemon perfectly just as he had seen it. When it was done, Richy turned the sketch into Professor Oak. Mew didn’t know what to do, except for be careful about where he wanders into and to go into the unfamiliar world less often. Mew still has that coin, and still dwells inside a small, dark, undersea cave in the ocean. Nobody is sure what ocean, but the fact still remains, Mew is real.
